      I mean was it stupid to have a person who only played 3 college games to jump to playing NBA basketball minutes on a team with such sophisticated plays? IDK. I don't remember that season for them so maybe without Klay they simplified the scheme for him. But maybe it would have been smarter to have him in the G League affiliate for half the season at least.

      Blake Griffin blossomed from a Transition Finisher to add Stretch 4 and Post Playmaker (Blake actually led the NBA in ASTS out of POST UPS) in ONE SEASON in DETROIT.
      Christian Wood, in his early career, was a guy that "Hit The Wall" every 3 or 4 games.
      Wood could only play half of a Playoff series, so teams let him go.
      Wood came to Detroit, and the Pistons Training and Conditioning staff helped Christian Wood blossom into a guy that can play starters minutes through a 7 Game Series. BREAKOUT LVL blossoming.
      Saddiq Bey blossomed.
      Bojan Bogdanovic has blossomed as a Transition Finisher.
      Just Saying. GO PISTONS!!

    Rockets are looking for backup center who’s big and play defense for short minutes after they drop the ball on Jock Landale. We don’t care about Wiseman not having offensive skill since Ime Udoka don’t even use +60 TS% Jabari Smith Jr. and he is all about defense. Best addition could be Jonathan Isaac from Orlando but he is rarely healthy and availability is best ability in NBA.

    Unfortunately for Wiseman Monty Williams is a veteran coach who is tough on the young guys that make mistakes which is the sum of the Detroit Pistons roster. Fans have seen this with Jaden Ivey and Ausar Thompson being limited in their roles.
    At the center position there's a logjam with Duren and Bagley which leaves little opportunity for Wiseman to get minutes to further develop. The trade never made any sense for Detroit, bad situation all around.

    • @detroitshinobi4995
      @detroitshinobi4995 5 месяцев назад +2

      It's way more then that Monty rubs players the wrong way. He isolates them and beefs with them. He came preaching defense as a rebrand. But i watch nba games not just Pistons. Dude has never asked Devin to play defense in any year. Next Joe harris has been a corpse for 2 years and never played D. He was put in just to score. Also take Alec Burks who if he isn't scoring he can't do anything else. Players are given special treatment. Troy didn't want Monty and Monty didn't want to coach for us. He came for the money and he has looked disinterested. His lack of adjustments effected Phoenix in the post season. Now this roster of his with Beef stew being the leading second scorer. Has lost 24 games. Then add that with lack of prospect development and over reliance on vets. Who should have been traded like Bogee and Burks.

    • @detroitshinobi4995
      @detroitshinobi4995 5 месяцев назад +1

      That trade was made because the Pistons didn't want to pay Bey. Which was foolish they gave bagley to much. Then Stew got payed the same as Bey in Atlanta and Bey is a shooter we could use. But this city is dumb then they extended Stew. Who has shown no progress when they could have signed him at the end of this season. I also heard they wanted Wiseman. This team loves log jams. But it was to get rid of Bey.

    • @Csay12
      @Csay12 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@detroitshinobi4995 I know, just keeping it surface level since most fans don't bother to pay attention to Detroit. Monty Williams has been awful with the lineups and rotations all season. He preaches defense first and wants his players to "earn minutes" but his actions have been contrary all season. Jaden Ivey has been in the doghouse and he fails to play guys to their strengths.
      The last few games he finally started experimenting with getting Ausar and Ivey more involved in the offense which should have started from the beginning of the season.
      To compound it all we've had so many injuries, Duren's been out half the games this year and we haven't even seen Morris. The bench has been at an all-time level of abysmal. Joe Harris, Alec Burks, and Isaiah Livers, guys who are supposed to be excellent scorers can't hit anything, career lows.
      Combine it all together and you have a historically bad team.

      They got rid of Wiseman bc they don't want to pay 10-12M a year for a player to sit on the bench. When Wiseman becomes a FA, GSW will consider signing Wiseman for NBA minimum or G league contact. Wiseman is considered a player that went from High school to the NBA. That is very difficult to do. To Wiseman's defense... that pass out of bounds to kuminga.. was kumingas fault... it was passed to where kumiga was supposed to be... but kuminga was flat footed and just standing there not doing shit. Kuminga was supposed to be streaking in the rebound. Regarding the screening... the clips you selected show Wiseman not properly sealing and not properly drop stepping and rolling to the basket... not sure why he is doing that! If I could just coach him for 2 weeks with some fundamentals, I would love to get him back on the warriors!

    J Wise wasn’t lead very well as a younger player. Just like how Seth Curry (who is still an all time shooter % wise) had his career slowed by college rules, so did J Wise.
    I pray he actually gets the chance to develop. I can say as a player who wasn’t really given a chance to bloom that even some time away from the league can be good for him. I took some years out and turned myself into a great shooter and scorer. Maybe without the pressure of thinking his jobs on the line and that he needs to make Cade look good, he can focus on the details in his game.

      @@jsports2665 you are also likely right. I recall it being reported James was suffering with some mental health issues (likely depression), while having to sit out. So many rare and challenging things happen to James it would be a shame if the NBA let someone with his talent and drive go to waste.

He's a loser big man who is not intelligent enough to read basic plays.I've been watching the NBA for a long time and he can join the growing list of BIG MAN BUST. I agree with most of what you said, but Wiseman only played 3 college games, so I'm not sure about the college rules. After 4 years in the NBA, silly mistakes like some of his fouls should have been fixed by now. I do believe his BB IQ is very low, that alone will make a coach crazy. I do hope he figures it out, I like Wiseman.

    • @truthnotfeelings

      @@stargells1384 By college rules I mean that a player cannot receive direct financial incentives from a team. Leading to Wise only being allowed to play 3 games.
