Note : For larger ports (generally laptops and computers), or in instances where part of the corner of the card breaks, aswell, it may take several layers of tape.
The goal is to apply pressure to the side of the card while it is inserted.
I dropped my card, the slider popped out and half of the corner in front of it came off, aswell. Took three layers of scotch tape to get my laptop to apply enough pressure for it to lift its write protection.

Not many layers! You can try a small piece of wood from a pencil, little one to it there.. It worked for me.. Initially i failed! but second time with this trick it worked - for little more damaged - can try my idea!
