What an underrated mic the TLM49 is. It gets a lot of hate but the capsule is a genuine k47 and you can hear it. Would be an interesting comparison for sure.
I agree I have a tlm 49 it is superb the mid range is smooth and amazingly warm don’t no why people dislike that mic it’s awesome
The old m49 sounds much different to the reissue. Surprising given that Neumann did so well with the u67.
Interesting. TLM 103 sounds less smooth, less balanced. Here I prefer the new M49 to the old.

Is the internal low cut switch engaged on the m49v? If so could you do a test with the low cut off?

Hi, I just used the built-in pre's of the RME UFX. For all three microphones. Cheers ;-)
What processing was done
no normal human being would be able to tell the difference in a song, nor would any of them care because they'd be listening to the music not the low mids and dimensionality of the microphone.
