Great video...I have a 2007 sprinter...with no lights at the fan controller, checked the 30a fuse have power to the blower motor...would a stuffed regulator stop the fan control on the dash from working..any help would be appreciated..its summer in Australia and I have no fan or Ac as I cannot turn it on..im 5hrs into it already
The Blower Motor Fuse supplies 12v constant power from the battery. Blower motor is grounded through the resistor. If you have no control at the dash, but voltage at the fan and good continuity through the fan, your resistor is likely bad.
Today, 2/17/23, I'm currently having fan blower issues.. the slight difference with my symptoms is that the fan will turn on and blow for about 30 seconds on high and then fizzle out... stop working... then I'll turn it off and then try again in 2 mins, and it will repeat the same symptoms.... but if I turn it on in a low setting, it will run for quite some time until it cuts out 🤔
Sounds like either the resistor or the blower motor itself is getting too hot while using the heater and shorting out then when It cools back down it works again.. I'm not positive but you could try the replacing the resistor like I did. It was only about 15 dollars for me
@bucketlistbuilds *update* Today 2/19/23 I pulled out the resistor and inspected it.. it had some surface corrosion on the fins and some dust... I cleaned it off and put it back... seems to be working ok... then I pulled out the fan and supplied it with an independent power source.... and came to the conclusion that it was the blower fan itself that's bad... it kept on sticking while spinning... which is the same symptoms it was giving while connected directly to the van So I ordered a new blower motor off amazon.... they claim it should arrive on 2/21/23
I disconnected my blower motor resisitor and plugged it back in and it now works. Must have been a connector loose or pin not making contact. Btw you can access the blower resistor connector through a hole inside the glove box without taking anything apart. Just look in the back. Hope that helps someone.
Great video just what I needed thank you
Excellent video! Saved me hundreds of dollars. My sprinter had 100% same symptoms. This fixed it! Thanks.
Love to hear it!
Yup my exact problem!
Thank you so much!
Common issue blower regulator is out. Fast fix. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Great video and a big help👍
Thank you!

What is your email? I can send some diagrams and talk you through the repair!

Mine doesn’t even switch on?
It could still be the Resistor, Id start by checking your fuses first
cheap not really for canada 200 dollas for that part
Did you check the link in the description? I got mine off amazon for like 15 dollars and it works perfect!
@@mobilemotorsport $86 at Carquest but I have seen it for less. Mercedes wanted $168 plus tax!
