Clay 2k it may be hard to wrap hair that short. If you can get it wrapped neutralize off rods and comb through to loosen up curl pattern. Also check every 5 minutes till the curl is the right size. It may not take the full processing time.
Hello , I'm debating on getting a perm . I have slightly wavy hair that drives me nuts . However I am undecided / nervous . Would I be able to get my hair rolled wet ? Then dried ,no perm solution ? I know it would not be the full look of a perm but give me an idea ? Thanks
KeMiKM d , hi if you just roll and dry the hair it tends to look really puffy . This is not a true reflection of what chemical changed hair would do. Maybe if you rolled the hair , dried it half way then took out the rods. Then sprayed with a texture spray like #rough me up from matrix, and let air dry the rest of the way. That might give you a better idea of what permed curls would look like . Hope this helps you :)
First time go about 2 sizes smaller/ tighter than you want for end result. When rerolling use desired size. Perm based on past chemical services. This was Virgin hair so an alkaline perm was used. Generally no carvers have a built in bead on the band so the rubber is not tight on the hair. You can always use s stabilizers to be safe. Thank you for the great questions! 🙂

Noah Quezada thank you for the question! No the hair can be layered or textured. Stylist will just need to use 2 end papers long ways to get all the ends in securely.

Yes 3” would be long enough to do this look. Also wrapping the perm with the perm solution on first will help roll shorter hair .

Yes , small section w/ small rods and lotion wrap, then re roll on desired size to neutralize

Noah Quezada , the smaller the tool used the faster / tighter the curl will be. Also the depth of the section should be finer for more curls.
