as by 11th, May 2024, "screenkey" is available from standard repo from Linux Mint or Ubuntu. Does not require special dependencies anymore while using Nala apt frontend.
Had anyone achieved it on OpenSUSE Leap 15.2 and Gnome? I'm not getting any status bar icon, although I've installed all suggested packages. Only the default edge-to-edge banner is displayed.
I have very weird experience with Keymon. I followed your tutorial step-by-step to install the Keymon and all I get is only ICON (a 'mouse' and letter 'A' ), when I click that icon nothing happens. This can not be this hard !! Are there any pre requisites to install Keymon? I am using Ubuntu 18.04.
I can't install keymon. In my Terminal I got this: "E: Não foi possível encontrar o pacote keymon", witch, in English means some thing like: "E: It was not possible to find keymon package". Can you help me with a solution?
It sounds like it might not have installed correctly on your computer. Which version of Ubuntu are you using? For newer versions (e.g. 20.04) the process changed slightly, but we made a video on that here: ruclips.net/video/JwBM_ThDNpQ/видео.html. Also make sure you have typed the package name correctly and updated your apt-get package manager before trying to install. Here are some debugging tips: itsfoss.com/unable-to-locate-package-error-ubuntu/. Hope that helps!

Thanks for sharing!
thanks man amazing video
Thanks man. Very helpful.
Thank you for this!
Seems like keymon package is gone in Ubuntu 20.04 and python-appindicator as well. Can you do the video again for Ubuntu 20.04? 🙂
Here's an update for keymon: ruclips.net/video/JwBM_ThDNpQ/видео.html
Does that work for you? Thanks!
@@Jantcu Thank you, works perfectly :-)
I can launch key-mon only via the Terminal on Ubuntu 18.04, but not via launcher or ALT F2. Any idea how to fix it?

Are you using Ubuntu 20 by chance? If so, this updated video should help: ruclips.net/video/JwBM_ThDNpQ/видео.html
