Smooth display raises refresh rate for some content. If you go into developer options you can set refresh rate for everthing to 90Hz. (Force peak refresh rate) Also in developer you can make the animations faster for a more snappy look and feel. See window animation scale (change from 1 to .5) Transition animation scale (1 to .5) and animation duration scale ( 1 to .5)

Also in dev options you can enable refresh rate display. On home screen refresh rate will be shown as it moves from 60 to 90.

I just got one. As far as I know there is no way to tell if you have a text message or missed call unless you turn the screen on. No flashing light at the top of the screen. Am i missing something? No reviews that i have seen mention this. Thats crazy.
