You rock!!!! 8 weeks recovering from ACL and Menuscus surgery. Have been doing your workouts from week one!!! Really appreciate you… all the way from Zanzibar!
Get stronger and better soon and thank you for this! No injuries just woke up heavy on my periods and this was perfect for my not so amazing energy and I still felt like a king because it was no walk in the park. You rock!
No injuries here, either! I am 7 months PP, so I have just been following along with your workouts as you recover from baby #3! So grateful for your constant positivity and joy as well as the variety you bring!!
No injuries, but I was slow this morning and this is exactly what I needed. It wasn’t easy by any means, but sometimes it’s nice to do hard work without getting up ☺️
Thank you so much! I have a calf injury and I couldn’t find anything that was actually challenging and truly didn’t use my lower leg. It helps my brain so much to find a way to still move and challenge myself without setting myself any further back!
I work standing for 8-9 hours a day so the thought of being on my feet even more after work has always deterred me from working out. Excited to give this a try
So sorry to hear you about your injury - prayers for a speedy recovery! Yes try our injury friendly workouts -- www.nourishmovelove.com/leg-knee-injury-workouts/ Hang in there!
Hey Lindsey, Thank you for filming this! 3 months ago I injured BOTH knees in an overuse injury (patellar femoral pain syndrome) and have been recovering ever since. I've found it difficult to find good workouts that dont stress my knees. So today, I'm excited that there's finally a workout I can do! I would love to see more, so keep the knee injury videos coming! :) Thanks again, always love your workouts. :)
I really appreciate your creativity in these workouts, as well as dropping in some details on how/why these injuries can occur. I’m three weeks post op from ACL & meniscus surgery. My injury happened just stepping off a rock wrong in a hike. I love supplementing your workouts along with my PT workouts!
No injury. I work nights sometimes and don’t feel like I should stress my system with too hard of a workout but need the movement for both mental and physical health. This was perfect ❤
I usually shy away from mat workouts, but I was curious since I love all your HIIT/Strength workouts. And ... it was challenging! Thank you for helping to change the way I see this kind of workout, and thank you for modeling such a healthy approach to dealing with an injury - doing what you can, and getting stronger everyday!
Yes, another awesome workout u hv for us. I hv been using yr seated workout due to my meniscus n bow leg surgery. Nw i cld do full body workout using yr video. Hooray. Txssss.❤
I am so sorry to hear about your injury -- I hope you are doing okay! Here are more knee friendly workouts to try (I did them during my recovery too)! www.nourishmovelove.com/leg-knee-injury-workouts/ Hang in there!
since i tore my ACL & Meniscus in March, I’ve been doing your seated workouts (so grateful for this series!!) But I shied away from this one bc, getting down + up/off the floor seemed intimidating, lol. a little less so now, 4 weeks post surgery, although it does require meticulous thought. Loved this workout, thank you!
Thank you for another seated workout! I am not injured but have a spinal cord defect and am in an RA flare. You are so right about how quickly you lose strength and how long it takes to regain it. I had a severe flare earlier this year where it was painful just to hold a book open and turn the pages. It was so hard getting back into workouts and discouraging to see how much I lost. This time I have been determined to continue moving and working out as much as possible while still resting and caring for my inflamed tendons (my RA primarily affects my tendons). Thank you for your encouragement to push through and find ways to stay fit and strong in tough circumstances! Please keep doing workouts like these and showing all the adaptations. Knowing how to make working out possible/accessible is huge!
I’ve been working out with you for years. I remember when you hurt your knee and created these awesome floor workouts so you could stay in shape while you weren’t 100%. Well I did something to my knee and it’s swollen and I wanted to keep working out. I remembered these workouts and came back to them! I am so grateful that I have something quick and easy to follow from someone I love. Thank you!
Hello Lindsey. This is a great workout for me. I am due to have a total knee replacement next month. If you have any other seated workout plans please share. Take care and keep making us move!
Oh no!! I hope you have a speedy recovery! We will soon be adding more seated workout but here is a playlist of the current ones we have! -- ruclips.net/p/PLpa0d6IJAhbiVgsilIGGXr2vYPwWq6mSp
I don't have any injuries but thought this workout would be different! I modified some exercises to increase intensity (ie side plank for side leg raises, leg lowers for chest presses etc). I've been doing lots of your workouts so it was nice to see the creativity! I hope you recover quickly!
I have had numerous knee surgeries in the past years and have always tried to be creative with my workouts specially with a lock brace like you are experiencing at this time. Thank you so much for posting these I am still waiting on a total knee replacement in the future so I will always tune into these. Quick recovery to you!
Your spirit is beautiful. You inspire me to get stronger. I have lower back and knee issues from a car accident. I also had an aneurysm removed from my carotid artery in October of this year, making it difficult to exercise, so this workout is perfect for me. Thank you
Thank you from Finland. Recovering from tibia bone pin removal and repositioning lower tibia angle to try to fix my ankle issues. I have a cast for 6 weeks and I am so glad I found these exercises!
OMG! Lindsey, you are a godsend! I am suffering from a minor injury in the back of my knee so I had not been able to run for over a week. I was going crazy. I was searching for your videos and a couple of your knee friendly workout popped up! THANK YOU for creating these videos! How timely! I can imagine it has helped so many people like us who want to stay fit while dealing with injuries. ❤❤🙌🙏
So grateful you made this video! I had surgery for bucket handle meniscus tear and partial ACL reconstruction. One week post surgery I was going crazy not being able to work out daily like I normally do (and also dealing with just the frustration and exhaustion of being so suddenly mobility limited). It’s been great getting to follow along with your video, I wish there were more just like this one (I’ve already repeated it a few times). Hope your recovery since then has been smooth!
Oh no so sorry to hear about your knee surgery! I hope you are having a speedy recovery! Here are more knee friendly workouts to try (I did them during my recovery) -- www.nourishmovelove.com/leg-knee-injury-workouts/
So glad to see this! I have a torn peroneal tendon in my foot. doc says there is nothing they can do surgically and I have to reduce the load on the foot and lay off heavy leg days 😢 so this is perfect for me now to get the movement without the weight bearing!
You are a life saver! I've been rotating through three of your knee brace workouts. I'm jealous that you can bend your knee in two of them! I'll be there one day! Healing from a grade 3 MCL and grade 2 ACL, hoping to heal without surgery!
I chose to do this because it was new & something different. I admire your positive attitude Lindsey & I believe it’s a lot on how we look at our situation, if it’s injuries or whatever the situation that matters. I like when you look at the positive of this unfortunate injury & change for you. By focusing on how ur many blessings, it makes things a little easier to work thru or recover from. Thank you for the change up. Like the slower pace & didn’t feel rushed to get to the next thing.
I have always had bad knees. Every since I was little, they would slip out, I’d almost always fall down, and then they just kind of slip back in place. My left better one completely dislocated almost 3 weeks ago slid to far out it wouldn’t go back in itself. I am completely traumatized. I wasn’t able to move. I took an ambulance and the ER dr forced it back. I work out faithfully and I’m pretty fit 50 year old woman and I was very depressed. I couldn’t go work out until I found you so thank you!!! In January I will have surgery on my right knee they will cut the bone (osteotomy) under my knee and shift everything in a little to help my knee sit properly as well as reconstruction of the ligament on the medial (inside) part of my Right knee, helping to stabilize the kneecap (this is known as an MPFL reconstruction). They will use cadaver tissue to reconstruct the ligament. At some point, I’ll probably have to do my left knee. I’ll be working out with you for a while.
I am so sorry to hear about your knee - I know how frustrating knee surgery/recovery can be! Prayers for a speedy recovery! Here are more knee friendly workouts to bookmark -- www.nourishmovelove.com/leg-knee-injury-workouts/ Hang in there!
Thank you so much for doing this! I’ve been dealing with metatarsalgia. Your positivity is such an example to me. I wish you all the best in your recovery
Thank you from San Francisco! Since I first did one of your videos, two and half years ago, your guided workouts have transformed my body- I am 44 and the leanest and strongest I have ever been. Happy holidays!
Sara!! You're so awesome and thank you for your generosity and support!! I LOVE that you've been with us for over 2.5 years and are feeling your STRONGEST!! Keep up the awesome work!!! And thank you!!
One week out from medial meniscus root repair surgery and stuck in the locked brace. Had a hard time finding seated workouts that didn't involve too much legs. So happy to have found your series!
I was recently put in an ortho boot for a talus bone injury. Finding out that you have these seated workouts has helped my sanity so much in still doing something challenging! Thank you!
pulled muscles and some bruises around my knee from pole workout which made it painful to bend my leg. grateful for this workout, makes me feel like i'm not lazying around while waiting for all the pain (mostly healed) to go away 🎉
Thanks so much for this workout! I slipped today while carrying my 10 month old (baby blessing #5), and, in an effort to keep him from injury, I took the brunt of the fall, especially my knees. Thankfully, he was completely fine! I don't think my knees were seriously injured either, but I didn't want to push it and cause an injury, so this was great! Also, I really noticed different muscles in my core working doing these familiar moves from a seated position. Your strength and attitude are inspiring! I hope your knee is healing beautifully!
Love this for days when I want to work out for mental and physical benefit but don’t have tons of energy. It’s so great how you have workouts that fit every day and stage of life❤
Thanks for the seated workout! I’m recovering from an ankle injury and deal with plantar fasciitis as a result of pushing myself rather than taking the time to heal! Glad I can listen to my body AND get a good workout in 😊
So sorry to hear about your ankle injury, I hope you have speedy recovery! Here are more chair workouts to try -- www.nourishmovelove.com/chair-workouts/
Thankyou! I'm a walker, never drove, had a bad ankle and fibula break 10 weeks ago, op with plates. Still in my house in Spain as not allowed weightbare yet. So good leg had not been straight for 10 weeks either, this will be great for me. As walking apparently may take 3 months once I get go ahead (hopefully in a week) Your an angel! 🙏🏿😘
So sorry to hear about your ankle, I hope you have a speedy recovery! Here are more workouts to try during your recovery -- www.nourishmovelove.com/leg-knee-injury-workouts/ Hang in there I know how frustrating it can be!
I have chronic illness and I also homeschool my three kiddos- it is easiest for me to be sedentary but I am trying to push myself. Your beginner workouts and this mat workout have been so helpful. I am so grateful that you allow us access without paying any sort of membership fee- truly, so grateful.
I recently got diagnosed with a stress fracture in my navicular bone in my foot, i’m a distance runner. This was so helpful and got me in such a better space mentally this morning. Thankyou ❤
3 weeks past foot surgery (both feet) and also a mum of 3 under the age of 5. This work out is perfect- especially when I feel frustrated sitting down the whole day…Thank you so much!!!
No injury for me but I didn't feel like working out so I thought I'd try this and it was 🔥🔥🔥. Perfect way to get moving and a reminder that upper body strength training is much harder when you aren't using your legs to compensate, thank you and wishing you a speedy recovery!
Hi LIndsey. I have no injuries but have both hips replaced in the last couple of years, and this was a good way to find out any uneven muscle strength in my glutes (prone, leg lift really showed up a difference). Plus I knew, seated or not, it would be a challenge. You always come up with the goods! Thank you. x
loved this for my adrenal fatigue! been struggling for 2.5 years after burning myself out with undereating/stress/overworkouts and this was perfect for moving and feeling like i got to lift! thanks!
Thanks, Lindsey! Lack of sleep drew me to this new workout. It was perfect. I still moved, which I love but didn't push myself to the point where I felt overtaxed. Thanks again!

So I saw this on instagram and wanted to try it for my husband lol he just had surgery for his Achilles. I know he won’t be able to do it now but I wanted to try it and see if he would like it once he is able to get back to moving. I gotta say this a great workout 😊

This is great for the days that my knee (with an old injury) says, "Uh-uh, no jumping or pivots today." I'm sure many can benefit from mat workouts for various reasons. Thank you for making this video, and possibly more similar videos to come! Happy healing.
@@nourishmovelove Interesting about hormones and lack of sleep as some possible contributors to muscle injury/tears. I am creeping up to 50 with sleep/hormones all messed up, and trying to keep up with workouts like I did at 30 with old AND now new knee pain. I loved the workout and pace, and am grateful to have found an engaging way to stay active when I need to lower the knee impact level. Thanks again. ♥

Girlfriend, this looks like a really good workout and I foresee sweat in my future! Great for when you don’t feel like a bunch of weights or jumping around! It’s so nice to see you staying so positive…keep it up, chica!
This was great! I'm 3 months post-endometriosis surgery and finally got the all clear this week to start lifting heavy again! I wasn't able to work out for the first 6 weeks, and from that time until this week I could only do very light weights so I didn't engage my core a ton. It was so rough! I loved this workout because I could go easier on my now weak core but still up my weights finally! I added a band to the leg lifts, and on the last exercise of set 4, those up and overs, I hovered my legs just to see if I could and HOLY BANANAS that should be added to your next leg workout!
I was still sore from my leg day, sooo this was perfect:D I`ll introduce this as my "lazy day" workout. It`s still quite challenging, but not too hard, when you have a hard time getting started. Thank you for this workout and I wish you a speedy recovery:)
I never thought I would need this workout, but I recently fractured my toe while I was at the gym and this workout is a Godsend! I finished Week 1 of the Strong20 series and was getting in the groove of working out consistently again, so I'm thankful that you offer alternative options!! So grateful for you and the NML team!
Thank you so much for these seated workouts. Foot surgery is in my future, so these will be awesome. But for now, this was a perfect "I don't really feel like working out, but I want to do something" low key Sunday workout!
1 year post-op for ankle surgery. It didn’t heal right as I have Hypermobility Syndrome/Fibromyalgia, so getting back to strength training has been so hard. Watching all my progress melt away has been frustrating. So grateful to find this workout!
I have a plantar plate ligament tear, bunions and arthritis in my toes so I'm in a boot temporarily. This workout felt so good, the first time I got a good workout in weeks!

This was a great workout even without injury!! I felt like I was really able to focus on the muscles being used!! Great change up!!! Also this became a family affair…my 4 kids loved it too!! 💪🏼
I knew it would not be easy. lol. I wanted to try it out anyway. I noticed some areas i need to stretch from this seated position. Great work out. Get well soon.
ORTHO just grounded me to minimal movement and absolutely no impact for double achilles and posterior tibialis injuries. I was devastated that kickboxing was sidelined. A quick search and here you are! Thank you so much. Quickly found out my arms are weak. 😅

Definitely picked this workout because I didn't want to get up! Ha! Also, it included bicep curls. I may just not be finding the right workout but it seems that a lot of the upper body workouts do not have bicep curls. I love overhead presses but tend to struggle with tight traps and so I was looking for a different variety today.
Thanks for this floor workout! Foot surgery makes for a challenge for finding a good work out! Post surgery 7 weeks, post scooter one week. Week one putting weight on this foot. This was perfect!
My ostomy was givin me Agita and I was too dehydrated to do anything holy bananas crazy. This was perfect, Still challenging but also nicer on my insides. Thank you 🙏🏽
I injured my ankle postpartum and had to undergo surgery. I was not happy with any chair workouts as they were not challenging. But I love ur videos. Thanks for making them.

I am recovery from a pinky toe surgery. I have been laying around for almost a week going crazy. I knew there had to be a workout I could do that didn’t involve my feet. I’m so thankful I came across your channel. This was perfect!!
Finally did this workout cuz I’m recovering from covid and I can’t handle anything too heartpumping right now…this was really good and I actually glistened…lol. Not to mention I burned a fair amount of calories…it was just what I needed and I’ll be doing it again! I only used 8 lb dumbbells and some 2 lb ankle weights, so I’ll bump it up next time!
Thank you for this workout. I have a knee injury (torn acl and meniscus) and am so grateful for your videos!

So sorry to hear about your injury -- prayers for a speedy recovery!! Hang in there!
I was recently put in an ortho boot for a talus bone injury. Finding out that you have these seated workouts has helped my sanity so much in still doing something challenging! Thank you!
So sorry to hear about your injury - prayers for a speedy recovery! You are so awesome!
pulled muscles and some bruises around my knee from pole workout which made it painful to bend my leg. grateful for this workout, makes me feel like i'm not lazying around while waiting for all the pain (mostly healed) to go away 🎉
So sorry to hear about your knee pain - prayers it gets better soon!
Oh no!! I hope you have a speedy recovery!! SO glad you found your way to NML and are feeling stronger! You are so awesome!
Great for the knee today, thank you!

Thanks for the seated workout! I’m recovering from an ankle injury and deal with plantar fasciitis as a result of pushing myself rather than taking the time to heal! Glad I can listen to my body AND get a good workout in 😊

So sorry you are going through that! Thank you for choosing to sweat with us!

So sorry to hear about your injury - prayers for a speedy recovery!! Hang in there mama!
No injury for me but I didn't feel like working out so I thought I'd try this and it was 🔥🔥🔥. Perfect way to get moving and a reminder that upper body strength training is much harder when you aren't using your legs to compensate, thank you and wishing you a speedy recovery!
So true! Thanks for your well wishes!
Hi LIndsey. I have no injuries but have both hips replaced in the last couple of years, and this was a good way to find out any uneven muscle strength in my glutes (prone, leg lift really showed up a difference). Plus I knew, seated or not, it would be a challenge. You always come up with the goods! Thank you. x
That is so awesome to hear! Thanks so much for sharing this and for putting the workout to good use!
loved this for my adrenal fatigue! been struggling for 2.5 years after burning myself out with undereating/stress/overworkouts and this was perfect for moving and feeling like i got to lift! thanks!
I am so glad this was helpful for you!
Love, love, love this unique and powerful mat workout! You’re such a genius! You rock! Thank you!
Thanks so much for sweating with us!
Thanks, Lindsey! Lack of sleep drew me to this new workout. It was perfect. I still moved, which I love but didn't push myself to the point where I felt overtaxed. Thanks again!

Always so important to listen to your body!
This is great for the days that my knee (with an old injury) says, "Uh-uh, no jumping or pivots today."
I'm sure many can benefit from mat workouts for various reasons.
Thank you for making this video, and possibly more similar videos to come! Happy healing.
Yes! More seated/floor workouts to come. Thanks for your feedback and for trying this one!

Interesting about hormones and lack of sleep as some possible contributors to muscle injury/tears.
Torn ACL+MCL and in a brace pre-surgery, this workout is perfect! Thank you!!

Love this work out for the start of a week! Great for a sore lower back from playing with kids too
So glad you enjoyed this one! Way to start the week strong!
Girlfriend, this looks like a really good workout and I foresee sweat in my future! Great for when you don’t feel like a bunch of weights or jumping around! It’s so nice to see you staying so positive…keep it up, chica!
Getting creative!
Great workout as always Lindsey! Thank you for your dedication and creativity!
Thanks so much for trying this one!
Thanks so much for trying this workout, I am so glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I was still sore from my leg day, sooo this was perfect:D I`ll introduce this as my "lazy day" workout. It`s still quite challenging, but not too hard, when you have a hard time getting started. Thank you for this workout and I wish you a speedy recovery:)
Thanks for your well wishes! Challenging when you get after those heavy weights!
I am so glad to hear these workouts are helpful! More seated and mat workouts to come!
Thank you so much for these seated workouts. Foot surgery is in my future, so these will be awesome. But for now, this was a perfect "I don't really feel like working out, but I want to do something" low key Sunday workout!
So glad these are helpful! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
1 year post-op for ankle surgery. It didn’t heal right as I have Hypermobility Syndrome/Fibromyalgia, so getting back to strength training has been so hard. Watching all my progress melt away has been frustrating. So grateful to find this workout!

@@nourishmovelove Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Way to go! Thanks for sweating with me!
Thanks for this floor workout! Foot surgery makes for a challenge for finding a good work out! Post surgery 7 weeks, post scooter one week. Week one putting weight on this foot. This was perfect!
