I love the look of the spiral stairs, but I do in real life, too. For in game, I was struck by how easy it would be to build that type of staircase, even at the beginning of a game. For people that like to build a nice starter base. I think the bottom front area of your spooky house make a nice, grander double staircase. Combining 3 and 5 seems like it could give you a good double staircase, as well. You would just need to get to size of the straight part right. Of course, I really like 4, too. I grew up in an old house (east coast old, not European old) and that one gives me those kind of vibes. Fancier but sturdy.
@@mariesalias Lol! I like 3...and 4..also 5 is nice! Glad you like em! The nice thing with stairs is you can essentially do whatever you want so long as they reach the level of your build that they are supposed to. Spiral staircase is just...a classic!
This is how I prefer to get good at building. Detailed tips and tutorials that I can implement into my building style. Building in terraria is basically an art
Thanks, I actually have a few more tips videos I need to create! But, you did say something important, and that is that it is an art and specifically, it's your art! Make things however you like and enjoy the creative process!
Haha, well I am glad you like them! Of course, these are not ALL the types of stairs you can make, but the ones I will use most often! And yes, the walls for spiral stairs imho are a must!
I have a headache because some of these illusions look so trippy😅 my favrioute one is 5 btw, I will definitely attempt to build these stairs in future builds. thanks for the tutorial, great video as always. keep it up!
Overall great designs, the problem is that i can't place the support fences over a wall, which makes me unable to use them in a base.. I really like how the Fences look as support, what a shame that they are on the wall layer.
@@TommyTsunami Actually, i just tried having a one block wide gap in the walls and filling that with fences and it doesnt look bad! There's small holes to see outside, but it looks kinda neat.
@@somerandomguy3298 Nice, glad you found a neat solution. That's why I said, it's really just about the design and what you're looking for. These are just a guide of sorts. But in any case, glad this was helpful!
How did you make the background behind the fences in the spiral staircase not show? Because when i put it in the snow biome I could see the snow through it?
You need a background wall first, then put in the platforms and fence down the middle. From there, you just put a different wall type (and ideally different colour) and put those right under the platforms!
@@TommyTsunami more top 5 / tutorials! Basic building/decorating sounds great. Top 5 "uncommon" bricks you use in your builds. Top 5 paint & brick (or block) combos that look fantastic. Ex. Shroomite plating with white paint is baller. Things like that I would eat up and am guessing most people would enjoy them too!
@@LISANAIGAlB I hear you and these are good ideas for sure! I definitely have some ideas around the tutorial side of things, however the materials/paint combos one can be a bit tricky b/c everyone thinks different things look good or bad. Kinda depends on what your taste is. That said, I can may highlight what I use the most and maybe that will help some folks out!
Unfortunately when you try to make prettier or more interesting designs you tend to sacrifice functionality and practicality. Now, that said an npc COULD go up and down them, but will likely have more challenges lol.
What design was your favorite?
Hey, love your channel love the spiral stairs!! Use them in all my builds from now!!🎉😂
@@simonagergaard4830 Hey, that is awesome! Really glad you both found the channel and that it provided some usefulness for your next builds!
5 and 2!

It is an art.
The first one..short and simple..works well if building a town..and the 3rd one for a mansion design..really love these..subbed
Appreciate you finding these useful! I have a few other tutorials on the channel...and a few more planned! Thanks for subscribing and welcome aboard!
I found the flat stairs much better! Especially the spiral stairs, the use of the background is just-
*chef's kiss*

It depends which one you make. You can also replace the fence with columns. But I understand it wont always fit!

You should consider doing roofs if you are gonna continue on this series!
Already on my list...not looking forward to that one (my roof game needs work)
Do more of these!
Lol, more stairs specifically? or just more tutorials? I do have an idea for some building/decorating basics that I hope will help folks!

I can't place platforms over of beams like u did
Hmm you will have to be a bit more specific...I use fence not beam!
what armour are you wearing ?
Hey! I am using vortex armour and the vanity set is grox! Hope that helps!
Ey bro im a solid fann broo
Thanks bro!
Can NPCs freely go up and down on any of these designs?

all becouse this give me lot to do
Awesome! I have a few more tutorial ideas and I hope that when I eventually put them up here, that they are helpful for those watching!
How do you walk past the stairs in this game man
Just hold the down button and you will slide right past them!
3/5
A passing grade :)
Hmm...
nice lecture
That's the nature of tutorial I suppose!
How to make using stairs difficult: the video
Hahah! I mean, the first stairs are pretty easy right? The hope is this gives a few designs for builds...perhaps easiest was the wrong wording lol!
How to improve your builds? Lmao you can't make good looking builds, because it's 2d only about boring grinding
Lol, you could always try journey mode where you can just duplicate everything. Really speeds up the process!
So the thumbnail is click bait... Great
Lol, wait til you see the rest of RUclips😂
