@@Aro3o6 Hey, do you know how I can see how much fuel is in an AI at the start of a race? I know that you can look at the car cockpit, but what when it isn't indicated there? If that's not possible, then how can I predict the AI pit strategy?
I saw in the files as well a "boost ai" setting. I turned these off to see if it would make the ai smoother like earlier rf2 builds, havent checked ai inputs tho.
And theres a setting for sample size for the ai. I turned this up too for better first laps. As rf2 ai tried to learn tracks. Idk how. But it gets better with more laps, this is like a pre sim.
Gonne try this later this evening. Hate that wobbly driving of the ai under blue flags, crashing out a few seconds later, especially the Porsche GTE and GT3 . I’m curious about that corner grip too. Especially at Suzuka and the LMP2’s.. Thanks
I've been heaving issues with rfactor 2 since i can remember. It's a shame, because i wouldn't mind trying it again. No matter what i do, i can't get any mod visible in the game.
Despite all the settings (known since rF1 engine), the current AI falls short big time. Any track, at 108% AI wont defend, wont make use of AI slipstream: instead the AI brake checks. Silverstone: Copse corner, AI goes wide on exit on curbs, need to brake to prevend track limit. Sitting duck for overtake. Tried the AI learning tool: no effect, same problem. Le Mans, Daytona road course...AI are sitting ducks due to early braking and most important: not making use of slipstream other AI. Since Studio 397 took over they stopped working on AI. I would say that the AI in AMS is even better.
@@Aro3o6 Interesting, so you decided to do a video to show your hate? There Is no perfect AI In any game. We had better AI In games 20 years ago, It´s all about graphics and mainstream now.
I'm not sure if this all still works due to the new ai updates
probably still does

Excellent video. Refreshing to see someone improving things instead of complaining about everything.
Fantastic Video!
Great video. Can you do one, with safetycar?
I also turned up the setting for yellows. I set myself at 4.5 just to avoid full course yellows more.

Thanks for this.
love fighting game music
agreed...
Also set the max traction factor to .92 lower means better, as the ai is simply not able to handle .94
Now how do we fix the bad breaking and throttle for AI?
Great video, thanks

Turn 4 and spoon curve at suzuka is probably the worst offender of the corner grip usage by the ai
I don’t have JSON files in the Player section, for some reason it opens whit media player and I don’t have any other options to open it
Top notch m8

Hi and thx
What brake power usage and brake grip power usage do you recommand please?
Default is probably good enough for official content

thank you for the tutorial!!!
Really nice video. Can I ask what AI aggression value you used please? Thanks
I used 100% most of the time
@@Aro3o6 because the aggression setting is broken and doesn't do anything
@@ZIGAG1999Rfactor2 for you.
Too busy flogging DLC and working on a new game than fixing this one.😂
@@Jellybeantiger Le Mans Ultimate is currently in Early Access on steam. its a very improved rf2 but limited to only WEC.
big thanks
How do we slow the AI down ?
Change the ai strength to a lower value
Needs a sticky post in the forum 👍. Btw do the blue flag changes give issues in league or competition racing?
I dont think it affects multiplayer. I assume the server has its own player.json file.
So we sit for hours going through ini files to fix this sims mess? 😂

That is a fact. Ai is plentiful shit in rf2. I hate this game so much…

The ai should be great out of the box.
Anyone remember GP4?
RFactor 2 is garbage.
RFactor2 has the worst ai of any sim.
It's appalling.
