    Cheers for putting info like this out there. It's good to see an honest take on some hype sneakers after they have been worn for a while. For anyone not to worried about rocking hype sneakers, Nike make CMFRT versions of the Jordan 1's and 11's. They usually have extra foam and sometimes softer foam than the original versions and feel a bit more like a modern shoe under foot. You can usually pick them up on sale too.

    Air max 97s have also always been very tight for me as I have wide feet. I have to go a full size up on them and then have to tie my laces tight and have thick socks as well.
    AMM 4s for me also have been extremely uncomfortable to the point that I stuffed them with paper really hard and forgot about them until I saw them in the video😂.

    On the bright side, if a shoe has tougher leather, that means they will last longer. While it's uncomfortable it does mean the leather is of a higher grade and takes longer to break down, scuff, etc.

    So interesting to read the comments. The one thing I struggle with is the inconsistency of Nike in sizing for the same shoe. I don’t mind Jordan’s but getting a size you thought was your size (ie Jordan 4’s) and then they’re too tight sucks.

    • @jissanhuq3792
      @jissanhuq3792 Год назад

      @@ebelen1 that’s exactly the issue and no one else’s experience will help. Like for the lost n founds the fit n size are different than other 1s made around the same time- other 1s i have to go up half, these had more room in length. I just got the sb 4s n loose laced maybe tts but they are not as comfy as people hyped even at the .5 size up i went… had to put in some low profile Superfeet insoles to get a tad better. Same pinky issues i read about other 4s n i hate that elastic tongue strap but I’d be weary to cut it. I think its kinda taking away my desire to want more of any of these unless they are extremely unique like the lost n founds or SBs. Funniest part of all this is that Dunks are the ones that fit me the most comfy in regular or Sb… i think if you’re even remotely wide footed that’s where it’s at. What’s funny is that the Air Ships fit me almost the best, they are a bit wider in toe box n don’t have those added straps that bind your feet. The everyday pack in red n blue are accidentally one of my favs due to uniqueness and also standard comfort.

I skate and have plantar fasciitis, i _need_ comfy shoes or I get excruciating pain (even one day in vans has me limping for weeks unless I walk on my toes, made that mistake not long ago). They just take forever to break in coz they're so thicc.
      Ive got the mineral slate SB dunk highs and they broke in super quick as they're all suede. My SB drunk pro be true shoes took forever to break in even after rolling them like toothpaste though. I think the leather is thicker to give more shoe to wear down on the board. Mine have got flatspots on the leather but no holes yet. But nowadays they're super comfy and squishy, took weeks of wear though.

    I have a different perspective. I have multiple sclerosis, and I have an issue with balance. I pretty much wear jordan 1s every day because they are low to the ground and stable - basically for all the reasons you said they were uncomfortable 😂
    It doesn’t work well for my balance for shoes that are extra squishy. For that reason the 1s are the most comfortable to me. All of the retro Jordans up to the 5 are pretty stable to me. Dunks are OK too.
    Honestly, Yeezys were the most uncomfortable to me because they threw my foot forward into the toe box with the high heel padding. I always had a gap by between my foot and the heel cup. I also did not like the way the general purpose shoes fit. The vapor max has an odd feeling too. It feels borderline unstable, and you can feel the different sections.

    I wear 1s 8+ hours a day, most days, while teaching so I’m on my feet floating around a lot. The secret: custom insoles. Get to a podiatrist and get a pair properly molded. Even at $200-300 it’s worth it, it’s saved me from plantar fascia surgery for 20 years. At the very least, stop rocking 1s and Dunks with stock insoles, upgrade them 💩s!

    Jordan 11s in general are hella uncomfortable. Super stiff and zero breathability. Also Toro 4s are super uncomfortable. Feel like having a piece of brick strapped to your feet. A lot of 4s are very stiff upon the first few wears but the toros just dont get much better over time. I think on Jordan 1s it depends a lot on the leather quality. If its very soft they can be pretty comfy but if its the cheap plastic leather they are very uncomfortable. Also the whole construction with the super flat sole and no arch support can feel very awkward

      Man if the SB4s are the comfy version I’m never buying a 4 again. These kill my arch n pinky n that’s with an insole swap at a half size up. Did people not have pinkies in the 80s!? Ill say this though ironically the crease protecters are not noticeable ironically and preventing any creasing on these where as on 1s i still will get a little
