How incredible Vincent received a new cow that’s exactly what I thought when he shared he was at a loss I was like “man I would go buy him a new cow and surprise him” Sonny you and your team are inspirational to next generations as to caring about people and their cultures no matter what our differences are we are all humans with unique stories. Thank you for all your hard work!

I was so excited to learn about their culture and even more excited to know that Vincent was gifted with a new cow! 🤗
My heart melted when you said you bought him a cow 😭 We need more champs like you! Can't imagine what it's like losing a whole cow in an underdeveloped country
Hi
Probably similar to having your shoe store looted and burned down in a "developed" country.
He probably minimized his loss significantly by selling the cow for meat.

What does being underdeveloped got to do with the pain for losing his cow. Haibo drama from these so called first world people
I might have gotten a little teary eyed when you said you got Vincent a new cow. He was such a humble and gracious host and I was so upset at the loss of his valued livestock. Thank you for returning his hospitality with your own kindness!
Vincent was one of those guys that just makes you smile and laugh even when He's being serious. Loved the reaction to the rice crispy, and it's pretty awesome knowing You could provide him a cow to make up for the loss. Hopefully it will yield dividends. This guy speaks english language just fine and he is in the middle of nowhere, he has building, hunting and cooking skills and a good sense of humour :)

Vincent has such a great sense of humor, I’m glad Sonny was able to buy him a new cow!
I've said this before, while Bourdain was the pioneer in having this type of show, Sonny and his team put together content that easily beats whatever NatGeo or Discovery are broadcasting in this genre of culture and cuisine exploration.
Kinshasa PR. You are correct in my opinion. I used to watch regular TV and saw so many of these types of productions. About the only one that sticks in my mind was a TV show from years ago. An older, silver-haired Greek(?) guy who traveled Europe searching out old culture foods. It was the first time I'd seen that maggot-cheese and this man was sitting on a hillside with a couple of old blokes, chowing down on this cheese. That kinda grossed me out. But with Sonny's productions, I'd happily try any of the foods he eats...but perhaps not anything cooked with stomach bile. Pretty sure, based on experiencing the smell of a burst bile sac in an animal carcass once...yeah, nah. But I'm game. I used to make Green tree Ant tea because it's awesome stuff.
Big facts bro
@@BradGryphonn sir You should definitely try cow stomach bile .. trust me it ain't Bad nor Smells bad plus the smell from a dead animals is quite different from Properly cooked freshed..
One small incident shouldn't let You Demotivate from trying it again
Exactly! I must say that their show has a bit of a Bourdain-esque quality to it (one of the reasons why I like it so much), as well as somewhat of a Bizarre Foods vibe, aside from the unique features they bring to the table with Sonny's personality and humour and everything. I just love it :)
Agreed. I still miss Anthony ❤

I love the show host. So humble... Vincent, thank you for representing rural Africa so well. This was a really great episode. I was surprised to see that he owned so many cows. He has a full fledged farm. My first world prejudice had me believing those who lived so far away couldn’t possibly have anything modern or semi self sustaining. You’re forgiven lol 😂, I went to China a while back and was asked if I live with lions and elephants 🤭
How about DNA test...you will know whether you are from West or East or South Africa.
As an American of African ancestry, you got ancestors from all around the Guinea Gulf (from Mauritania to Angola/Zambia). Zimbabweans are related to Congo and Angolan bantu so you're indirectly related to them too

Funny how corn porridge is a staple in so many African countries.
I know, right? And not only in Africa. As far as I know, some sort of flour mixed with water either is or used to be a staple all over the world. Like, in medieval Europe, before the advent of corn and potatoes, I am pretty sure I read somewhere that porridge made with stuff like wheat, barley, oats, etc. used to be eaten a lot by the lower classes.
