Luis Portelles, I agree with everything you said about Osmel. He fabricated all of his Venezuelan winners, he has an excellent eye for beauty and he transformed an ordinary girl into a beauty. Plastic surgeries and all kinds of retouches were allowed (breasts, nose, jaws, ears, teeth, smile design, cheeks, liposuction, hair, eyebrows, botox, etc.), you name it. He was particularly good at choosing the best clothing, jewelry, shoes, etc., for his contestants, and of course, he had a team that trained the girls for interviews, speeches, etc., no wonder Venezuela won so many times. I've been following Osmel for many years now and I guess his role at Miss Universe under the new administration will be similar to what Lou Sierra did with Miss Universe under Paula Shugart. I know he's not fond of black contestants and he is definitely NOT fond of Asian beauty either. However, under Aunt Anne he'll have no choice but to do a good job with every Miss Thailand, he has a Thai boss now! I remember very well he said Pia Wurtzbach did not deserve the crown after Steve Harvey's wrong announcement, he said Miss Colombia was much more beautiful than Pia. There is a video on RUclips in which he makes this statement and he also said that Gloria Diaz did not deserve the crown either after she won since the announcer read the winners list in the wrong order, according to Osmel, Gloria Diaz was actually the 4th runner up and the real Miss Universe that year was the contestant who placed in fifth place. I've seen how he's been rude many times with many contestants and has even humiliated them by calling them ugly, fat, short, etc. Hopefully, he'll improve his manners! Now, all of a sudden, he is for the newly imposed inclusion of plus-size women, trans, married, etc., actually, he has no choice now, in the past he was against any of these new rules. Even if his ideas are outdated, I think he can still do a good job by making the girls look their best and make a good show. On the other hand, I don't think Miss Universe will last too long, I believe it will collapse in a few years. Most people prefer the contest the way it was before the so-called inclusion and people will simply stop following it. Miss Universe will be from now on a pageant mainly for latinas. We'll see fewer Asians and Africans in the top. I believe Thailand and the Philippines (a country with a huge audience and which represents a lot of $$$ for the new administration) will still place in the top though. Don't forget some places will be reserved for the inclusion contestants even though they have no chance of winning, as we heard in that leaked video. I can only see a disaster for Miss Universe coming soon... much earlier than expected.
Miss Universe is officially a hot mess! It is like an over the top moist wedding cake made accidentally with pickles, butter cream, garlic, anchovies, and pig feet.
This is a bad sign for other beauties. Osmel has given a negative opinion of Asian Queens, particularly the Filipino queens. These will all be Miss Universal Latina; the rest are part of the so-called inclusion and flower wall Queens. Miss Universe has gone down the drain.
For 2024, I don't think so, because they have to "prove people wrong". Lol. But I suspect MU is going to be like... very "Latin Americanized", even just for beauty standards.
I don’t like the idea of Osmel being involved at MU - he has very well publicized biases against other races, particularly African descents. He’s on record saying Venezuela has no beautiful black women - and unapologetically so. He simply can’t be trusted to be impartial and fair. Worried we’ll never see Phillipines, South Africa, and the like in the top again with these new changes/revelations.
Completely unsurprising, unfortunately, given what we now know about Miss Universe’s managing team’s true thoughts about inclusivity. Trans women, moms, women over 28, plus size women, and now black women will never have a real chance.
The only comment I have ever heard Osmel Sousa say, was in relation to Afro-Venezuelan women not being as beautiful as Afro-Colombians, whishing he had better looking contestants of African descent. Also, in recent years one of the winners of "El Concurso by Osmel" was Andrea Romero, a beautiful black woman, who went on to represent Venezuela at Reina Hispanoamericana and finished as 2nd Runner-up, she also went to MV 2022 (under the new management) and also finished as 2nd runner up behind Diana Silva and Andrea Rubio (winner of MI 2023). While MU still reels from the fallout of the controversial tape that exposed its "tokenism" of inclusivity, diversity and other values its brand trumpets, another dampener on its brand's integrity is rearing its ugly head. Osmel's inclusion in the MUO team could potentially dilute the brand's messaging. Osmel's view of beauty is vintage Boomer, with a strong bias on Caucasian archetype, whether natural or manufactured. The beauty ideology of the Zillenials, the world's biggest and most affluent, focus more on diversity, inclusivity, transparency. Also, some people make it sound like the contestant were "reconstructed", it is just not true. That would be amazing!!!! And it’s only because of the crazy Nationalists Filipino beauty pageant obsessed fans that are the worst of the worst in terms of fandom. Nobody wants to deal with that.
Osmel is very anti black so it's a no for me. I followed pageants in Latin America and on a rare occasion a woman of African descent win a crown in a Latin country then Osmel has something mean to say about her and other women that don't fit his Eurocentric Aryan view of women. I am very disappointed in MUO and pray for the women of color especially black women going to Miss Universe in Mexico. In my honest opinion I think they want black women to participate but Khun Ann and Raul plus Osmel they will never crown a married women, plus size, LGBTQ, and black or indigenous women. Osmel's world view of pageantry is toxic and proven to be unsuccessful in the current era for a reason. Also Anne and Raul owns Miss USA which tends to embrace diversity but that may change unfortunately.
Hola Luis, you bring up some interesting points. On the one hand I feel that Osmel has quite a following which may be good for the Pageant. However, I must say that it is a problem he has voiced racist attitudes toward people of color.
He's midas' touch is no longer working. His holding recently of two franchises bore no results. So what is he doing in MUO? Well, a has been like him completes the unprecedented fall of MUO.
If he is currently involved in managing his own pageant, there may be a perceived conflict of interest. Adding him to the organization could be seen as a significant regression from the image that Miss Universe is aiming to project. It is possible that certain countries may choose to withhold sending contestants as a result, potentially leading to further decline in the reputation of the pageant.
Osmel Sousa's pageant is not associated with the MUO or the Miss Universe Venezuela Organization (MV), the winners of his pageant "El Concurso by Osmel" have gone to represent Venezuela at Reina Hispanoamericana and Miss Charm... that's it... where is the conflict of interest?
As you said it, Osmel is a legend. I love his inclusion in Miss Universe. Let's stop the circus and understand that beauty pageants are also about beauty. Facial and physical beauty is of utmost importance and not everybody can apply. Just as not everybody can run a 100 meter race at the Olympics.
@@pdbraveheart9430 no no no. Back with real beauty. Which, up to now, has almost always been so. But the point is to stop what so far has happened occasionally and that may become the norm. Portugal and Nepal in the top 20? I don't agree. It was unfair. But at least they didn't move on, thanks heaven. Zozi won, but it was once, may it be the exception. Harnaaz gained a lot of weight, she was deformed and the didn't withdraw the crown, which they should have. But those have been exceptions. And we want them to be not even exceptions. We want justice. We want fairness. We want respect and commitment towards what being a Miss Universe entails. And the organization has already perceived that, were they to continue the path they were going, they would lose it all. And that's why now, common sense is back to reign. We have to stop this before it's too late. And thanks God, we are stopping it. Real beauty. Fake beauty is someone whose body is overweight and therefore unhealthy, apart from not being beautiful. Fake beauty is someone who lacks facial harmony. Beauty is only one. It has to do with very specific parameters nobody can get away from. Nobody forces people to follow beauty pageants. Beauty pageants are to be followed by people who love aesthetics, physical and facial beauty, eloquence when speaking, bountifullness and sweetness of heart, social commitment. But as you can see, the package involves facial and physical beauty. The ones who do not understand it can create other kinds of pageants. Inner beauty pageants, let's say. And let's see how popular they become. Hooray for Miss Universe. The merge with Mexico is already yielding good fruits.
People forget this man doesn't like black people. He has queens but because of him I didn't even think there Afro Latina. I only found out as an adult that there are black people in your communities (and I did history and I am well aware of how slaves were taken everywhere and so I am also to blame) but there were no black representatives of the Afro Latin

Oh dear. Miss Universe JKN era is a mess. They probably think bringing in Osmel will bring back people’s confidence in the brand. All of us know, all they need to do is get rid of the JKN matriach.

I also don't see the logic of adding him to MUO team. His racist and disparaging opinion about black women makes him unqualified IMO to work for an organization that is constantly preaching about inclusion and diversity.
I agree with all of your concerns. I am putting a pause on my feelings until we know more about what his role will be. There's a part of me that thinks Anne is playing, toying, with the pageant loving Latin communities in order to prop up her version of MUO, while forgetting about the rest of the world. I will hold my full judgement until the next MU pageant. Let's see who makes the cut, who the finalists are and who eventually wins. I'm a long time fan. Probably old enough to be a father, if not grandfather, to most here. 😊. MU was my absolute favorite pageant ever since I can remember. When Anne took over and I saw what kind of media grabbing attention seeker she was, I started to distance myself from my beloved pageant. There's something about her that just doesn't sit right with me. I have had the same feeling about Osmel. Let's see what becomes of this and what the next pageant outcomes are. Are they deserved/earned or has it become a world of political appointments on stage. Just my humble opinion.❤

Unfortunately, the most iconic beauty pageant is now run by 2 "frustrated" women-wannabe....one who bought the franchise, and the other invited onboard to add bias to an already unfair organization
lol. read more about osmel. he literally forced women to have plastic surgeries to achieve the ideal beauty queen look. there was never an era of unadultured beauty lol.

IT'S GOOD THAT OSMEL IS IN MUO. HE LEFT MU-VENEZUELA WITH A GRUDGE AND NOT IN GOOD TERMS. THEN I BELIEVE HE WILL GIVE VENEZUELA A HARD TIME TO EXACT HIS RETRIBUTION TO THEM. THIS IS A GOOD TIME FOR MEXICO, ASIA AND EUROPEAN REPRESENTATIVE IN THE COMING YEARS. NO WORRIES WITH OSMEL.
Osmel is 77 (I'm old, too) and while his interest should not diminish, he should take his rightful place in the pageant world: Dowager Queen (a retired Queen whose husband has died) or Fairy Godbitch, who appears in public so that we can worship him but with no power or influence... aged, fabulously dressed eye candy purely for our entertainment.
At this point, I'm fully convinced that the current MUO operates on outrage marketing. Since JKN took over it's been one giant red flag after another. I really won't be surprised if this is all strategic on their part because "bad publicity is still publicity" after all, and to be fair, no other pageant has been talked about as much in the past year than MU. But whether that controversy and media mileage actually translate into actual support for the organization is yet to be seen.

Now let's talk about him being a "racist", well, that is a big lie!!!... A racist would not have a black woman among the winners of his pageant.
I think you are making a big deal out of Osmel working for the MUO, no one knows what his role is going to be. Who knows he might be assisting with production of the pageant, during his year in front the MV Organization, the shows were superb, maybe you should watch any of those shows from the 1980's.
MUPH should seriously consider not joining. It’s a complete waste of time.
Anne has ruined the Miss Universe organization. The idea of inclusivity is a total sham!
An international pageant should be more inclusive at least with different races and nationalities.
@@stephenanderson1594have u watched the leaked video of Ann with other MU management? They say inclusibity is for marketing purposes only.
I agree with you, Osmel came from a bygone Era. But let's see if he can make it better or make disastrous.
Excelente por miss universo ahora si se va a elegir mujeres hermosas de verdad.
Amen 🙏🏼
I believe his role will be part of the MU reality show, similar to the Ru Paul Drag Race show.
I kind of half agree with it. But I disagree with plastic surgery... Osmel is crazy for it, at the point his queens look too fake.
Back with fake beauties.
Agree. Let beauty pageants be a contest primarily of beauty in face, body, and personality…
So the guy is conservative and racist . We do not want someone like him in MUO.🤮. Thanks for spreading this info Lusi and get well soon !
Sadly Miss Universe is dead, the new owners have killed the pageant.

@@giuseppeditrolio send me the link. I would like to see that... What he has said is that he wants the girls participating to be beautiful whether they are white or black or any other race. After all is a beauty pageant.

The dark era is upon us! With Celeste's non placement im already conditioned that the Philippines will find it hard to win or even place
Now comes the dark era of miss universe.
Now all the organizers of mu are plastic not just inner even outside lol
get well soon Luis🫶🏻❤
I totally disagree with you. Inclusivity doesn't mean that the contestants must be ugly. Osmel Is the perfecto assest for it.
Miss Universe is crap!! 🤮
His time passesd, he cannot bring something new, except more scandals and controvercies! Maybe, that is why! 🤣🤣
miss Universw is no longer good. It loses its credibility.
Good for Miss Venezuela 😮
His 2 old..should retire 😂
pimp
Debunked
Whoever manages the MUO the Filipinos will never trust it again as they've tarnished the name of the organization which made it no more credibility and integrity. Filipinos can forgive but never forget.
Oh dear. Miss Universe JKN era is a mess. They probably think bringing in Osmel will bring back people’s confidence in the brand. All of us know, all they need to do is get rid of the JKN matriach.
The beauty ideology of the Zillenials, the world's biggest and most affluent, focuses more on diversity, inclusivity, and transparency. To the Zillenials, beauty is about freedom of individuality, authenticity, and diversity. "Being yourself' is the phrase that best fits their personal definition of beauty, which is similar to the MU brand's message. With Osmel there, we may well expect the further erosion of the brand.
What can osmel sousa do to save miss fake universe
I also don't see the logic of adding him to MUO team. His racist and disparaging opinion about black women makes him unqualified IMO to work for an organization that is constantly preaching about inclusion and diversity.
Exactly. This is the Dark Age of MU.
This trans boi ceo is doomed....Anne
Oh boy this doesn’t sound good
Miss universe is now totally a circus and a freak show.
😂😂😂
OSMEL + ANN = Ticking Time Bomb! A messy, explosive and shitty disaster!!!
Ms. U org now is not good, user , bias and not fair.
he is old .. he wont last
I agree with all of your concerns.
Dry run for asian countries especially india to start from here, if he is involved in decission making process...he favours latinos always...still rember his reaction when india's Harnaz Sandhu was announced winner of a miss universe edition...this old man has a lot of grudge towards asian countries...
What was his reaction? Thanks.

The era of true, unadultered beauty of a woman is gone. The era of fake, retokada, fixed, surgical "enhanced" beauty of modern woman has arrived.
@@huaflinxsanthur7457 beg to differ hun....in those days, there "MAYBE" fake beauties, but at least it was hush2x and not rampant.....now? "FAKE IS THE NORM"....Being obnoxious and loud and "artificially and gay-ly" personality unfortunately in a real woman is required just to be noticed in the contest: ergo the outrageous gown, the almost-showing of lowered dignity thru overy sexy gowns and swimsuit. Check 1994 Miss Universe....that was the norm and standards
@@yanadventures just another man's opinion on women🥴
The more disadvantaged to Philippine candidate because Osmel and Rocha will not let an Asian to win.
this is a bad news for all the Asian and African powerhouses like India Philippines and South Africa
Miss Universe cannot be trusted anymore.
In always top 3 in Asia Thailand and Latina always win Mexico and Venuzuela. The racist queen maker.
that would be unfair, ann + osmel
If this is not a wake up call for MUPH, I don't know what is. You owe it to our delegate. Damn it!
He is quite controversial
I will watch supra and charm from now on
Sorry but Miss Universe is now disgusting.
ok ok latina winner again what ever do other country now
Simply put Osmel is outdated and archaic
Miss World is better than miss universe
At this point, I'm fully convinced that the current MUO operates on outrage marketing. Since JKN took over it's been one giant red flag after another. I really won't be surprised if this is all strategic on their part because "bad publicity is still publicity" after all, and to be fair, no other pageant has been talked about as much in the past year than MU. But whether that controversy and media mileage actually translate into actual support for the organization is yet to be seen.
Exactamente Luis! WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN?🫣😞🥸🧐🤪😜😝🤯
Well, that went down fast.
