      KUNG WALA SI CELESTE NA CREDENTIALS AT ADVOCACY NA PINAGSASABI MO, THEN BAKIT PINILI PA NILA SI CELESTE TO REPRESENT THE PHILIPPINES TO MU?
      MAY KASHUNGAHAN LANG DIN SILA PUMILI NG KANDIDATA LALO NA YAN SILA SHAMCEY, JONAS AT PINAGKUKUHA NILANG JUDGES.
      AT KUNG MAY MALI OR KULANG, DAPAT SA LOOB NG 7 MONTHS BINUHOS DAPAT NILA ANG EFFORT SA PAG DEVELOP OR GAWA NG STRONG ADVOCACY NI CELESTE. MISS UNIVERSE HINDI LANG YAN SA RAMPA RAMPA. 🙄 KAYA NGA DAPAT HINAHAYAAN OR ENCOURAGE NILA ANG KANDIDATA NATIN MAGKAROON NG IBANG TEAM FOR NATCOS, GOWN, AT HMU.
      MUPH DAPAT MAGFOCUS KUNG ANO ANG KULANG AT PINAKAKAILANGAN NG KANDIDATA NA MA IMPROVE. SO MAY MALI TALAGA SILA SHAMCEY AT JONAS SA STYLE NG PAMAMAHALA NILA. DAPAT MAGING TRANSFORMATIONAL DIRECTORS DIN SILA. KAPAG DI NILA KAYA, MAG RESIGN SILA. KAWAWA PAMBATO NATIN.

      Celeste wasn't called to top 16 was not because of her stage performance, it was because her advocacy work was weaker than those who were selected and that's because mupo did not make the effort to find out that this year muo was looking for someone with strong advocacy work behind them. Mupo cannot say things like it's hard to know what muo was looking for, that's the lamest excuse ever....as mupo it's your job to find out and know it and prep celeste accordingly. Non powerhouse countries knew why didnt u?!? Mupo failed to do their job properly, they failed celeste and the fans full stop, no other explanation ! And interesting that she stayed behind after announcement of top 16 because of other national directors and the top 16.....how about staying back because you wanted to ve there to support celeste whenever she came out

    Even if Celeste has improved a lot in her communication skills, the organization forgot the reason why a candidate is there at MU. That's because of their advocacies. Since they're looking for someone to represent the brand and organization, Celeste should have strong advocacy to back her up during the interview. Everyone is authentic in their own way, she can't really always say that during her interviews. She has to be consistent with what she's fighting for. This should be their wake-up call. Celeste has the potential but not the story. It's like what happened to Rachel Peters before. NO STRONG ADVOCACY.

However, I just observed a few things about her during the competition. First, I have never heard her speak Tagalog unlike the winner R Bonney who really tried to communicate with her Filipino fans. Also, Catriona during her time tried to represent our country by wearing native designs to showcase Filipino ingenuity which is not the case for Celeste whose wardrobe consist mainly of clothes fit for fashion shows. Celeste's communication skills greatly improved but still fails in comparison to those in the Top 5. What happened was a good wake up call to the MUP organizers to choose candidates who will be truly proud of their heritage and have strong advocacies to become transformational leaders which is the new standard for Miss Universe.

    Communication skills and intelligence matters next is beauty. During the closed door interview and preliminary competition, that's the time u have to convey and convince the panel why choose u and what are the things in you.
    Because they don't know you, you have to shine so that they will going to remember and include you to the list.
    I'm still rooting for Miss Bohol to represent in Miss U as u can see how strong the chosen top 16 in terms of communication skills and strong advocacy. But I'm still proud for Celeste.

    Shamcey truelly showed in this interview why she represented the Philippines and why she was in the top 5… tht being said she wasnt accepting that they lack something again this time seeing how celeste is a strong candidate. Maybe they could her find an advocacy and use it. They have a long preparation to make this better. Even the cape wasnt well prepared. I know they did their best but they need to change things up now for the Philippines to grow and win again. Failure is part of the success. Praying for their team to grow tremendously and like what she said in her other interview “humbled”

  • @groundedangelsgarden
    @groundedangelsgarden Год назад +7

    I have to disagree with the claim that MUPh did their best for Celeste for these reasons: 1) Poorly written bio, especially the long-winded first sentence tossing around "transformational journey" without any meat. Not a good first good impression on the judges, who had to read 80+ bios. Her bio looked like an after-thought or last-minute. That isn't a bio you'd want to submit and expect to hear back from a job recruiter. 2) Poorly curated content on social media, with a crypto ad that should have been taken down; instead, admin took down comments critiquing the add. 3) Poor planning as suggested by the prelim gown that fell flat on stage and on screen. 4) Packaging of Celeste including her wardrobe, which gave some LATAM pageant critics impression that she looked "expensive" and "inaccessible." To others, it looked like an act and pretentious. 5) Lack of Foresight, especially after the announcement of new ownership and new vision. Please do better. Thank you.
    The bios of the top 5 show these common denominators: Entrepreneurial. Women empowering women. Change maker. Trailblazer. Visionary. Community Service. Something to consider in selecting the next MUPh delegate.

Sobrang sayang ni Celeste, we have seen so much potential in her. We even see her winning Miss Universe na sya na mag uuwi ng ikalima. We didn't expect na sakanya matatapat yung tadhana na sya magpuputol ng streak, ang sakit isipin nun. We are so invested on her, kasi iba sya. at isa pa ha, everything could have been different kung hindi lng kayo nagpakampante, nag pabaya sa lahat. kahit mn lng top 16 lng. alam kong nag effort din talaga kayo to handle Celeste pero parang bare minimum lng, why? Coz what happened sa 7 months of preparation? bat lahat last minute ginawa? alam nyong may ibubuga pa pero nag settle kayo sa less! and yung mga gowns na niligwak nyo yung patunay na you really settled for less na parang tinipid nyo yung Reyna pero andami nyong dalang alipores sa US. If you really include us fans in the battle at nakinig kayo sa criticisms namin? bat di nyo man lng inapply? bat parang di namin feel na parte kami sa laban? pinaparamdam nyo samin na di namin kayo abot. I am now trying to move on, but for sure I will always carry the pain and will never forget that once upon a time, a Goddess once represented our country but got wasted.

      Interviews constitute 50% of the overall score. Advocacies play a big time on interviews. Let's face it, Celeste was overhyped by the fans. People rally behind her simply because of a pretty face, but her comms skills lacked and her personality wasn't that strong. If you check her MUPh performance especially Q&A, her answers were never impactful. It was all sweet and cute but that won't fly in Miss Universe. Philippines became complacent being a sash factor country. May this be a lesson to stop hating on criticism and taking it personal. A lot of people commented on her personality, communication and advocacy, yet people kept saying she's this goddess. Pageantry is a sport, criticisms are important for improvement.

Girl I saw how she improved her communication skills at paki mo bang hinahype sya ng mga tao? bawal bang pumili kung sinong susuportaan? bakit? yung fave mo ba didn't get the attention like Celeste? at girl sa tingin mo mamahalin sya ng tao kung di sya nakitaan ng galing? it's not just her beauty that we loved about her. there's something about her na wala sa iba. We see how genuine and down to earth she is as a person. We admired her transformation and her hardwork kaya wala kang karapatang diktahan ang mga tao kung sinong gusto nilang suportaan at ihype ano gusto mo? i bash namin sya intstead of supporting her like what Rabiya experienced? gusto mo nun na matuwa kami sa downfall niya? ano ba nmang mindset yan oy at nagrereklamo kang hinype sya ng mga tao. for sure isa ka sa mga nag aabang ng downfall nya dahil di nanalo manok mo sa MUPH lol nagrereklamo ba naman about the massive support and hype that Celeste got. Every candidate deserves support from ppl in order for her to feel loved. ikaw demonyita ka kasi porket ayaw mo sa tao gusto mo ng walang sumuporta at mag mahal sakanya. pure insecurity and evil scheme.

    Miss Dyan, I hope you stop interrupting when someone is talking. Let her finish first her statements because I couldn't get the full grasp of the thought she's trying to explain. It's really disturbing.
    Hence, I think the ND's point are somewhat valid but it's still a blurry thing for most of us fans since the topics that were talked about are just the tip of the iceberg. There are still a lot of underlying preparation issues and many more. I bet the witnesses clarified that she's not the one who left but those who are always with Celeste.
    What terries us the most is that, the creative director and director of communications kept mum about these issues and shut everything under the rug instead. Voltaire was the one who should be explaininng everything for the sake if the fucking transparency.
    This is still a developing story, please tigilan nyo na yung pagpapaganda at pagrampa sa America and face the issues upfront. Y'all cannot get away with this without being transparent from Day 1 since Celeste won.
    My critical analysis based on how Shamcey applauded R'bonney's winning traits are the traits that Celeste doesn't have. Clearly it speaks volume. I'm not in anyone's side but if Celeste didnt do her job in terms preparations, then be transparent. Based on what I heard, clearly we crowned the wrong winner perhaps? Dont get me wrong, I supported her journey fully, but hearing Shamcey's points about R'bonney, clearly hindi ganun si Celeste.
    Also, pleade clarify the packaging that was made kung bakit aloof si Celeste sa ibang candidates, as we didnt see her journey through the lens of her phone-her eyes. She acts like a diva winner in the 10 days of her journey.

    Since MUPh has a partnership with a TV network (don't know what exactly it is now since ABS-CBN had lost its franchise), they must create a reality show that tracks the winner's training (pasarela, comm. skills, advocacy development and work, etc.) reality TV show type.
    They may do it via RUclips where they may restrict other nations to view if they don't want to spill it to the rest of the world. This way, THE FILIPINO PEOPLE may track the MUPh candidate and maybe do an online voting per week to see how the mass thinks about the progress, then at the end of the training, weeks before the send-off, we do a culmination - experts from the diff. sectors of the country gather to critique that amazing woman, then let the people vote as to how much prepared she is to take on the competiton. With this, the national costume, gown, wardrobe choices must be decided upon by the people as well.
    P.S. daming pwedeng pagkakitaan ng format nato, votings palang.

    * "KNOW WHEN TO PEAK" , really, to PEAK begun in the PRELIMINARY & MUST be CONSISTENT throughout the FINALE, b/c sometimes you won't given that chance to peak any longer.
    * The gown & the costume " it blew my mind", It could be BETTER & looked like a " local pageant attire " .
    It is NOT a just pageant but rather
    THE MISS UNIVERSE PAGEANT, one of BEST prestigious Beauty Pageant in the world .
    * ADVOCACY GOALS/ADVOCACY
    ACTUAL SKILLS is vital & must be consistent.
    *Communication skills is foremost.
    * Conduct ( traits to act ) & characters
    ( is reaction) are as important.

      Tama, kahit hindi naman nag walk out at lumabas lang ng auditorium nag walk out na ang tingin nila. Ang sama talaga ng isip ng ibang mga tao, kahit wala naman ginagawa na masama ay pag iisipan ka ng masama. Share ko lang na experience ko din pag isipan ng masama kahit hindi ko naman ginawa at mali ang paratang sa akin. Kaya ignore nalang kung ano yung iparatang sa iyo. Ang mahalaga alamo sa sarili mo yung totoong nanyari at malinis ang konsensya mo. Manalo o matalo, ang mahalaga ay ginawa mo yung best mo at wala kang pagsisisihan. Ang taong matalino ay sinisiyasat munang mabuti ang nanyari at hindi agad nag co-comment ng kung ano-anu at maingat syang magsalita pero matibay ang ebidensya. :D

    Celeste and her team gave their best. It’s just that there are a lot of stronger candidates. The top 16 are deserving of their places. There’s nothing to be shocked about it.

      Laos, Canada and Trinidad & Tobago should resign from top 16 of Miss Universe 2022 and give the placement to the more deserving countries like Philippines, Thailand, Italy

      Stronger candidates equipped with their impressive social works/advocacies that they've been doing for a year or years. These social accomplishments were taken into consideration aside from their prelim scores for girls to make it to top16.

      @@drewbaltazar294 Sorry but why should they??
      I'm a Phillipines fan when it comes to pageantry. But Celeste didn't perform. The advocacy of teaching parents on how to raise their kids when she's not even a mother herself is absolute crap.
      She was also very quiet on social media as if there was no excitement in her. If she was busy practicing and didn't have time to post, she could've asked her team to post.
      The effort was missing.
      The fans did so much to promote her. The Filipino fans are the best in MU and they deserved better.

      Laos got into the top 16 by winning the fan vote. There’s really not much that could be done now that the competition is over with.

    I think Celeste is kindda shy based on her face and actions during rehearsals. During rehearsal the judges or who ever is assigned they will choose their best candidates who ever is lively and deserving to be on top 16, it’s just so happened that Celeste was not showing her efforts. And maybe it’s not really her time.
