If you thought cloves were reserved exclusively for culinary purposes, you were wrong.
Have you ever thought about sprinkling cloves in front of the door, window or around the trash can and maybe even under the bed?
This advice will delight you and solve many problems.
In this short video we will show you why it is useful to use cloves in various places in the house and garden.
All you need are regular cloves.
Although you can use them in their natural form, it is advisable to grind them because it intensifies the smell and allows for greater surface coverage.
Grind one or more spoonful’s of cloves in a grinder, and shake the powder into a container.
Place the ground cloves in front of the door, window, in the corners of the room or next to the garbage.
If you’re wondering why you would do that, you will find out the answer soon, so stay tuned until the end of the video.
If you are not inclined to sprinkle the cloves, another method is to wrap clove powder in foil, and make a small packet.
Then make small holes so that the scent can penetrate outside, without fear of it being wasted.
You can place these fragrant packets behind the door, window, next to the garbage, under the bed, under the pillow, inside the closet and in many other places.
The last method is to mix cloves with warm water, leave them for several hours to dissolve, then strain through a cheese cloth and fill a sprayer bottle.
So why would you do all this.
Cloves have an extremely strong smell and taste thanks to a substance called eugenol.
This ingredient acts as a natural repellent against a wide range of insects and bugs, including ants, moths, flies, mosquitoes, mites, fleas, bed bugs, stink bugs, centipedes and many other unwanted guests in your home or garden.
In addition to being used to repel insects, cloves have other useful uses.
For example, if you are bothered by your neighbour’s cat using your garden as a toilet, you can make a solution of cloves and water and spray the garden.
Cats are repulsed by the smell of cloves, and will drive them away from your garden.
You can also use cloves as a natural mosquito repellent.
Apply a few drops on your skin to protect yourself from pesky mosquitoes.
As you can see, cloves can provide you with many benefits, all from just one tablespoon of this aromatic spice.
Your home will be safe from pest intruders, and you will enjoy peace and comfort.

I used to put cloves into a orange to create a scent for the closet. I haven't done that in many years. Guess I should try this sometime as I have trouble with ants and cockroaches in my kitchen. Does it work for mice? I get one about once a year when it starts getting cold. Thanks for the tips. God bless.
