Fun detail! In the first one, when Po asked his father if he thought about doing something other than noodles he said he once thought about Tofu but brushed it off as a pipe dream.
In the second one, it's "Dragon Warrior Noodles and Tofu" and even offers Po Tofu. Meaning his son's branching out and achieving his dream inspired him to finally learn Tofu!

What I like about Shen's last conversation with the Soothsayer is that he "releases" her out of appreciation. You can see from his eyes that he knows he's too far gone to go back and whatever happens from then on won't be good.

One of the things I like about this movie is how the black and white prophecy comes true. It didn't have to be a panda. I got done watching the movie about a half an hour ago when writing this, and it certainly was an emotional rollercoaster to say the least, at one point even brought me to tears! Plus, Lord Shen was a real menace! The bird is an exact definition of evil! While I would watch the first movie about a dozen times, it wouldn't be bad to watch this again too every once in a while

15:17 No. no sorry he didn’t destroy it out of greed (Note thsi scene was cut but still remains canon) Shen was born sickly and many tod his parent his possibly for survival was little. They thus became ashamed. They also disliked him because of his color. Shen is Luesitic which is almost like albinism but the pupils don’t become red. They wanted him to be Blue and green. They neglected him. The soothsayer was left to take of him and is why they seem a little close. Would also explain Shen sparing her. As she in his eyes was the only true parental figure. Anyways extra information.
Shen. While I’m not gonna lie his actions were wrong and misguided. Shen was only expirementing with fireworks to develop a new from of weaponry for defense against another country if one does invade. His dumb parents immediately saw to it that he was being evil so they asked the soothsayer for the fortune. Shen wasn’t meant to hear it. Shen massacred the pandas as a reaction. He did it to defend himself and his families blood line.
What the soothsayer meant by “but he wanted more.” Was more referring to the fact that because of his parent neglect and them being ashamed of him for his color led Shen to believe his parents didn’t care nor love him(while they did) he searching for his orients love.
Just wanted to let you know that, not trying to attack or complain

The animation is stunning, the villain (BRILLIANTLY voiced by Gary Oldman) is ON POINT. I like the story. I like the dynamic between Po and the Five.....especially Tigress. Its just a gorgeous, well-told story. And honestly.....I think Dustin Hoffman is brilliant as the wise Master Shifu.

Such a great movie and I don’t see anyone talking about the wolf leader, yes he may be a cruel, rude and negative but even know his commander Lord Shen yelling at him to keep firing and he knows that if he does he will kill most of his own troops and I kinda felt like he knew Lord Shen was a villain up to that point because he didn’t care if they would kill most of their men, only to kill Po and his family that’s also why he said no to him and then he either died or got wounded
