Hello friends! As someone who has had vocal surgery, twice, I really have drunk the kool-aide when it comes to the important awareness of this energetic center. Even if chakras are not your thing, maybe metaphor is. What does it mean to know your own voice?
know thyself. you should understand that this brilliant light at the center of your universe is the active frequency modulation between your heart and mind(shockras). your voice is the reverberation of sound that emerges from your throat. I can feel it from the sound of your voice.
When I ask myself this, what comes up are more questions: What do I have to say? Where does my voice live? How does it sound? What does my voice do to the environment around me? How do I censor my own voice? What do I unauthentically add? How do I let it express itself? How is my voice tied to my being? The being of others? The being of all being? As a performer, my voice is a huge part of my identity. It's amazing how something can be so important and yet so unknown. Thank you for this practice, Adriene. I felt things I didn't expect. Your sequences get more and more evocative all the time 🙏
I love the color blue because I need to work on being more assertive for myself and try to remember with the color to advocate for myself since being quieted and shamed as a child for my mistakes and self expression. I truly believe that many things influence our inner thoughts such as lights plants and colors. We may be lost with out a voice at times but there are many ways we can express outwardly what we can not say. I findthatthe mindfulness of yoga has begun alot of healing as it increases my awareness of my physical self and the movement of energy through the power of breath.
Yoga With Adriene I have had thyroid cancer, a thyroidectomy, issues with the parathyroids and have been off in this area as read previously in reiki. This felt wonderful whether it helped this chakra or not. Thank you

Breath is still a mystery for me until now, how a simple essential action can change a person mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. I remember the first time I did this sequence and I purge the angry person I am at that time, as I say the mantra "I choose to speak my truth openly and freely." looking back now I know that I am a different person from that day on. that feeling when we streched the neck to one side and lenghtened the opposite arm was WEIRD! so many dimensions hidden in this body, it will take a lifetime to discover it all :) what a journey.

As someone who has nerve damage that makes it difficult to swallow food literally every time I eat, any focus on the throat is so important to me. What was most special about this experience was that it made me feel seen. My issue is so rare that it often feels like people don't even consider or understand that the throat can be such a complicated area with problems of its own (and that's why it takes me an hour to eat a meal that for others, it takes 15 minutes). This video is a huge gift in that it pays attention to a unique, important, and misunderstood area of the body. Thank you Adriene!
I woke up this morning and realised that since I started doing daily yoga in the new year, as soon as I am up I stand up taller. I have been feeling so much stronger and more connected though I can't do all the poses I adapt them to myself and do the best I can. I have grown...🙏

That was such a lovely practice, ❤ it was so relaxing and has brought me back to myself again. Last night I was quite stressed before going to bed, but I heard your voice telling me to breath. So I did quite a lot of gentle belly breathing before I went to sleep, and I woke up feeling really refreshed. Now this practice has just boosted that feeling. Continuously proving just how connected the mind and the body are. I had nightmares last night where I could do nothing but scream. Then I woke up and checked the ywa calendar for today and was so happy to see a throat chakra practice. I went all in, lighting some eucalyptus incense and brought my crystals. The anxiety I've carried with me all morning was lessened after this practice and now I'm ready to face my day. Regular yoga practice is truly a game changer for me.
I literally want to cry after finding this video. I have a hiatal hernia that sits on top of my belly. It causes me to throw up almost 24/7. This is like someone trying to heal ME not just making a video for stretching. But to heal me. Wow. This video couldn't have come at a better time. Thank you so much for uploading this.

Blossom folk here! I'm a couple of days behind and was up to abdominal wall, but after the day that I had yesterday I really needed something else. I picked throat chakra. I don't know a lot about chakras, but I did a quick google and what I read made me feel this was the right choice. Something must have been calling because I was wearing blue, on a blue mat with a blue block. The work on my nervous system has been so vital for me, and these have been a great help couple with my research into yoga, its origins, cultural practice and spirituality.
Adriene, my beautiful friend, I learnt so many new movements in this practice! Really enjoyed it, I'm trying a new schedule where I do exercise first thing in the morning, then do your practices. It really helps me centre in these practices more and zone in. Much love to you and the entire FWFG community. Namaste❤️🧘🏾♀️

We got in after 3am. The last two days I did my own improvised sequences at a hotel. Today, I started this video and then realized I left my yoga mat at my cousins' house 500+ miles away. No matter how careful one is, something always seems to be left behind. Luckily, I have the larger mat which will now get more use until I am reunited next year with my other mat 😂. Intuit day 22. 1052 days.

Have more snow here in UK covering emerging daffodils and blossom, was a fleeting glance of beauty to come, but thanks to Adriene, she brought warmth, colour and humour to us , not to mention some good stretches ❤
Did not realize how much I needed this! Took 3 weeks off (wisdom tooth surgery plus a bad bout of allergies), and this was a wonderful reintroduction. So grateful for this practice and the fact that it’s always there to pick us back up where we left off. Namaste, y’all! ✨
Until now I could not express what is it that I love so much about Yoga with Adriene. I think it is the fact that Adriene does not approach instruction as THE perfected Master (above everyone else) but rather as a human being! And that it makes her be so attuned with the practitioners that she gets to say things that perfectly match the moment. Such as, "don't clench in your jaw", and you notice that it is exactly what you were doing at the moment! Or "focus in the present", in the precise moment you got distracted by a memory! Plus I love she is ever evolving in her style and practices but also keeps her spontaneity!
MOTIVATE ⚛ | March 9, 2023 | This one is saved to my favourites list! It's so effective in getting the energy moving through this chakra which I think often gets neglected. I love the lion's breath, the shoulder twist and all the yummy stretches, especially of the neck and shoulder area. 🙏

I did this whole practise sitting in my bed.I can't even cross my legs because of my ankle injury.I am so proud of myself for doing this many modifications and allowing myself to do my daily yoga even while I'm recoverying.This was a huge act of self-love for me today. And it's so wonderful that I can find ywa videos even for those who can't use their legs.I feel included and less helpless.Thank you so much ❤
I had the same feeling today that even though I couldn’t physically do a lot of the poses bc I have sciatic pain, I could still breathe and listen to what Adriene was saying. I hope we will be able to show up for ourselves again tomorrow even if it is just mindfulness and breathing.
As a “recovering” people pleaser, I’ve always found my throat chakra to be my weakest chakra. I still struggle to voice my opinions and speak up for myself. But I’m actively working on it and this practice was perfect for that! As always, thank you Adriene ❤

Adrienne, thank you so much for this practice. I woke up with anxiety that manifested itself as a lump in my throat which is pretty typical for me. I can feel the actual lump when I swallow. I figured I would try this and see the lump goes away after I do this video, and it did 😃 thank you ❤️

I love those little but powerful mantras Adriene is sharing with us. I even started to write them down and re-read when I feel anxiety or stress or depression is taking over.

I did this video a few days ago because I'm at the begining of a new relationship and I wanted to make sure I'll be able to speak honestly and freely about my feelings and needs. Today, I sent a text to the person who sexually abused me a year ago to tell him how he hurt me but how I was recovering from it, and that I was hoping he could get some help and info about consent and communication because he needed it as much as me. I didn't plan on that even if I had somehow thought about it, it just felt like something I was finally able to do and needed to do. As expected he replied with something like "lol k, delete my number", but I am so amazed and grateful by my own resilience and my new ability to speak my truth. I'm convinced yoga has something to do with it (and therapy, and meditation, and good friends !), so I wanted to thank you Adriene and all this community for healing people and helping them walk through life. Sending you love from where I live and grow.

Blossom folk here! I'm a couple of days behind and was up to abdominal wall, but after the day that I had yesterday I really needed something else. I picked throat chakra. I don't know a lot about chakras, but I did a quick google and what I read made me feel this was the right choice. Something must have been calling because I was wearing blue, on a blue mat with a blue block. The work on my nervous system has been so vital for me, and these have been a great help couple with my research into yoga, its origins, cultural practice and spirituality.
Adriene, my beautiful friend, I learnt so many new movements in this practice!
Really enjoyed it, I'm trying a new schedule where I do exercise first thing in the morning, then do your practices.
It really helps me centre in these practices more and zone in.

We got in after 3am. The last two days I did my own improvised sequences at a hotel.
Today, I started this video and then realized I left my yoga mat at my cousins' house 500+ miles away. No matter how careful one is, something always seems to be left behind. Luckily, I have the larger mat which will now get more use until I am reunited next year with my other mat 😂.

Have more snow here in UK covering emerging daffodils and blossom, was a fleeting glance of beauty to come, but thanks to Adriene, she brought warmth, colour and humour to us , not to mention some good stretches ❤
Did not realize how much I needed this! Took 3 weeks off (wisdom tooth surgery plus a bad bout of allergies), and this was a wonderful reintroduction. So grateful for this practice and the fact that it’s always there to pick us back up where we left off. Namaste, y’all! ✨
Until now I could not express what is it that I love so much about Yoga with Adriene. I think it is the fact that Adriene does not approach instruction as THE perfected Master (above everyone else) but rather as a human being! And that it makes her be so attuned with the practitioners that she gets to say things that perfectly match the moment. Such as, "don't clench in your jaw", and you notice that it is exactly what you were doing at the moment! Or "focus in the present", in the precise moment you got distracted by a memory! Plus I love she is ever evolving in her style and practices but also keeps her spontaneity!
MOTIVATE ⚛ | March 9, 2023 | This one is saved to my favourites list! It's so effective in getting the energy moving through this chakra which I think often gets neglected. I love the lion's breath, the shoulder twist and all the yummy stretches, especially of the neck and shoulder area. 🙏

I did this whole practise sitting in my bed.I can't even cross my legs because of my ankle injury.I am so proud of myself for doing this many modifications and allowing myself to do my daily yoga even while I'm recoverying.This was a huge act of self-love for me today.
And it's so wonderful that I can find ywa videos even for those who can't use their legs.I feel included and less helpless.Thank you so much ❤

I had the same feeling today that even though I couldn’t physically do a lot of the poses bc I have sciatic pain, I could still breathe and listen to what Adriene was saying.
I hope we will be able to show up for ourselves again tomorrow even if it is just mindfulness and breathing.

As a “recovering” people pleaser, I’ve always found my throat chakra to be my weakest chakra. I still struggle to voice my opinions and speak up for myself. But I’m actively working on it and this practice was perfect for that! As always, thank you Adriene ❤

Adrienne, thank you so much for this practice. I woke up with anxiety that manifested itself as a lump in my throat which is pretty typical for me. I can feel the actual lump when I swallow. I figured I would try this and see the lump goes away after I do this video, and it did 😃 thank you ❤️

I love those little but powerful mantras Adriene is sharing with us. I even started to write them down and re-read when I feel anxiety or stress or depression is taking over.
Fun, mostly low to the ground. My chest feels more open. Neck hurts less. Puppy pose feels annoying and difficult. Yay to growth, and finding ease in the discomfort 🎉 UNION NOV 2023
I did this video a few days ago because I'm at the begining of a new relationship and I wanted to make sure I'll be able to speak honestly and freely about my feelings and needs. Today, I sent a text to the person who sexually abused me a year ago to tell him how he hurt me but how I was recovering from it, and that I was hoping he could get some help and info about consent and communication because he needed it as much as me. I didn't plan on that even if I had somehow thought about it, it just felt like something I was finally able to do and needed to do. As expected he replied with something like "lol k, delete my number", but I am so amazed and grateful by my own resilience and my new ability to speak my truth. I'm convinced yoga has something to do with it (and therapy, and meditation, and good friends !), so I wanted to thank you Adriene and all this community for healing people and helping them walk through life. Sending you love from where I live and grow.

I think this practice is a slow meditating super stretchy sequence. It included my favourite Sphinx Pose which gives me an amazing comfortable powerful feeling in my whole body. Day 20 looks interesting, I wonder what it will bring ! See you tomorrow on the mat Adriene and everyone 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💞
