For anyone who doesn’t know, the cutscene is obviously a love story, but it’s actually more tragic than portrayed. The reason Bajie refused to acknowledge his love for the queen spider and his daughter throughout all of chapter 4 is because if he acknowledges them, the celestial court will have them killed. Him acting as if he doesn’t care about them is his way of protecting them. The idea that choosing to oppose heaven (the celestial court) is a cursed path that brings pain and sorrow to not only yourself but also the ones u love is a common theme throughout the story (think back in the intro when Wukong challenged heaven so that his kind would stop being killed and his friends would be safe). It’s also a very heavy focal point in chapter 5, but I won’t go into detail as to not spoil for those who haven’t made it that far.

Fun fact: Pig in Chinese is “Zhu”(猪) and Spider in Chinese is “Zhuzhu”(蜘蛛). So when Bajie was cast out of heaven and turned into a pig the lady who would become the Violet Spider Guai misheard what he was turned into and thought he was turned into a spider not a pig so then she asked to be sent to earth as well in the form of a spider to be with Bajie but messed up because Bajie was actually a pig. But ultimately it didn’t matter, they still loved each other and that’s pretty sweet.

It's not Taiyin, they gave her bunny ears for a reason. In the original novel, Bajie only mentions Chang E, not Taiyin in his intro speach, saying he acted without regard for rank. As a Marshal of the court, he would have outranked Chang E if that was a designation for a mere maid.

Bajie’s story is sad because that dumbass jade emperor got caught having an affair with the moon girl (as shown in the animation) by bajie. So to keep it a secret he put bajie in a curse to have 1,000 heartbreak of a life time, which is why he decided to stay away from his lover the spider lady (she was a servant in the jade palace who decided to become mortal to be with bajie after hearing what happened to him) it’s sad he can never find love

This game has some of if not the best webs and spiders in gaming history, yes unreal 5 is crazy good but damnnn they did a great job, the part he gets grabbed and is pulled up that webbing looks insanely realistic.
To give some quick context for Ch 4 Bajie (pig friend) pretty much knows that child is his daughter from the get go but because of his past transgression from sexually harassing Chang'e, the Moon Goddess (with the silver hair in the beginning), he was cast down from Heaven and cursed to endure something like 1,000 tragedies in his love life which essentially means that any time the Celestial Court catches wind that Bajie is romantically involved with someone, they will straight up kill them and any others associated with that person. And in this case, the Violet Spider and all her daughters including the one she had with Bajie.
Apparently black myth wukong has slightly differences from the og story, supposedly in the game, him getting punished for harassment is a cover up of him finding out the moon goddess and the emperor having a "meeting"
Also correction… I believe they don’t just flat out kill them?? But instead lead them to live lives in which they eternally will have their love lives end in ruin and pain.
Fun fact, if you approach the final secret boss first rather than the scorpionlord, then you will see the fight between scorpionlord vs that secret final boss, the boss wins the scorpionlord by a hair and has 1 HP in his first first. That's how I beat him in my first try
It's a parry, i think, for yellow long. You keep mashing light attacks, and when the enemy is about to hit, you press the heavy attack button to "see" through like a type of parry right as the opponent is about to hit you, you parry it 👍
That see-through parry mechanic is both interesting and so impossible to master. Every time I want to do it I can't, but when it's unintentional, it happens.

A "see through" is an ability you unlock under the smash stance. It is when you have at least 1 focus and you are in the middle of a light attack chain (this chain can only be 1 light attack) and you press strong attack at the same time as you would do a perfect dodge. So you light attack > heavy attack at the same time you'll be hit by the enemy attack, and you'll "see through" their attack, gain invincible frames, and hit with more damage. This is how the summon works, except you can see through without needing to have the focus already. So in summary, hit strong attack during a light attack chain at the same time you're about to get hit. You'll know when you've done it correctly (in monkey form) because your character will glow red.

I was reading the comment about you being dyslexic and before this chapter, I've seen one comment saying that you got arachnophobia, I knew the theme of this chapter was a Spider guai but I didn't knew it was that unbearable for you. You need to "parry" enemy when using Yellow Loong transformation. Same as, Yin Tiger, build up focus before transforming, so after transforming you can enter windwalker stance immediately
Afro the way how yellow long works is that when your doing a light attack combo and the enemy is about to attack hit triangle to do a heavy attack triggering a parry like move that charges his special move, only hit triangle when his attack is about to hit to parry to charge his moves. this is why people say yellow long is broken because you can do a considerable damage even on basic level.
Small piece of advice you can use any amount of your gourd before grabbing a boss or I guess mini boss spirit and it completely refills it. (Same for all the enemies that emit a blue aura)
Some context for this part 7:11, the bird you see here is Taishang Laojun one of the most powerful taoist god in the celestial, his profession is making pills, not any pill but golden pill that grand might such as immortality and invincibility to one self, to make these pill he use a furnace that can burn anything to ashes. the fourth spider-sister that helps the destined one in some of the obstacles was ultimately turned into those golden pills, why? Because she is a yaoguai who is a blood thirsty monster at core, the court seals her here so that she wouldn't venture outside eating and killing humans, but since you the destined one trying to set her free the taoist god has to turn her into a pill so no more funny business. Now for a side context (a little spoilers for the next chapter), Taishang Laojun and wukong was one acquaintance and enemy, wukong who drinking all of his golden pills was punished and trapped inside the furnace to turn him into ashes for 7749 days, but the furnace couldn't even harm wukong and was merely scourching his eye from the smoke, Taishang Laojun decided to an use the samadhi fire which is the most powerful fire in all realm, later when the time was up, wukong not only doesn't getting any injured from the furnace flame but also gaining the golden fire eyes of truth after a long period of time staying in it, the angry wukong escaped and demolished the furnace, dropping it down to the mortal realm, the fire from the furnace spread all over a mountain that later was named the fire mountain, this mountain was introduce in the next chapter.
The see through mechanic is like hyper armour you get during the start of a smash heavy if performed out of a light combo (the varied combo) It staggers like crazy and is how you charge Yellow Loongs Ultimate 👌
The boss Dusk Veil is actually the "Dawnstar" that Kang-Jin-Loong was looking for in chapter 3 before she got caught in Yellow Brow's "sack". He's one of 28 Mansions in ancient Chinese constellations together with Kang-Jin-Loong and he helped Wukong defeat a scorpion guai in the novel. Now the golden scorpion is looking for revenge for his wife by turning Dawnstar into the Dusk Veil demon.
So for the golden pill and the girl part, and this is off of reddit and not my theory at all as I am not chinese but that spider lady in like black clothes the one that keeps helping us, she is probably our bride. Many in game hints plus her design and lines in the chinese dub and other chinese cultural hints give away that she is committed to some1 and well her weak spot for the destined one kinda gives away who it is. Suffice to say in the dlc or the next game we gotta go save our wife.
yeah think this is accurate, those lanterns that say big day near verdure bridge are for the destined one, and she throws the knife through them. And those 5 chests that are after the lanterns are marriage presents or something.

When you transform into yellow loong. just keep spamming one or two light and two heavy attack. those 2 heavy attack will stun most of the enemies, so keep spamming it and they will keep in stun. Also the transformation last pretty long

If you ever used the “counterflow” (counterattack) in smash stance, it’s pretty much the same mechanic as Yellow Loong. Just keep fighting with light attack, then do a heavy attack when an enemy swings at you. You’ll counterattack them with your heavy without taking damage, and then you’ll have focus points to use when you stack those counterattacks up For the worm face transformation, you infect others first before you use it’s hive-mind spell, but it might not be your play style.

To give some quick context for Ch 4
Bajie (pig friend) pretty much knows that child is his daughter from the get go but because of his past transgression from sexually harassing Chang'e, the Moon Goddess (with the silver hair in the beginning), he was cast down from Heaven and cursed to endure something like 1,000 tragedies in his love life which essentially means that any time the Celestial Court catches wind that Bajie is romantically involved with someone, they will straight up kill them and any others associated with that person.
And in this case, the Violet Spider and all her daughters including the one she had with Bajie.
Apparently black myth wukong has slightly differences from the og story, supposedly in the game, him getting punished for harassment is a cover up of him finding out the moon goddess and the emperor having a "meeting"
Also correction… I believe they don’t just flat out kill them?? But instead lead them to live lives in which they eternally will have their love lives end in ruin and pain.

Fun fact, if you approach the final secret boss first rather than the scorpionlord, then you will see the fight between scorpionlord vs that secret final boss, the boss wins the scorpionlord by a hair and has 1 HP in his first first. That's how I beat him in my first try

It's a parry, i think, for yellow long. You keep mashing light attacks, and when the enemy is about to hit, you press the heavy attack button to "see" through like a type of parry right as the opponent is about to hit you, you parry it 👍

Wow those little animated bits are so good. The story telling is insanely good. They 100 percent show you without telling you one bit.
A "see through" is an ability you unlock under the smash stance. It is when you have at least 1 focus and you are in the middle of a light attack chain (this chain can only be 1 light attack) and you press strong attack at the same time as you would do a perfect dodge. So you light attack > heavy attack at the same time you'll be hit by the enemy attack, and you'll "see through" their attack, gain invincible frames, and hit with more damage.
This is how the summon works, except you can see through without needing to have the focus already.
So in summary, hit strong attack during a light attack chain at the same time you're about to get hit.
You'll know when you've done it correctly (in monkey form) because your character will glow red.
I personally appreciate you continuing the series despite the situation you were put in.

You need to "parry" enemy when using Yellow Loong transformation.
Same as, Yin Tiger, build up focus before transforming, so after transforming you can enter windwalker stance immediately

Afro the way how yellow long works is that when your doing a light attack combo and the enemy is about to attack hit triangle to do a heavy attack triggering a parry like move that charges his special move, only hit triangle when his attack is about to hit to parry to charge his moves. this is why people say yellow long is broken because you can do a considerable damage even on basic level.
Small piece of advice you can use any amount of your gourd before grabbing a boss or I guess mini boss spirit and it completely refills it. (Same for all the enemies that emit a blue aura)
Some context for this part 7:11, the bird you see here is Taishang Laojun one of the most powerful taoist god in the celestial, his profession is making pills, not any pill but golden pill that grand might such as immortality and invincibility to one self, to make these pill he use a furnace that can burn anything to ashes.
the fourth spider-sister that helps the destined one in some of the obstacles was ultimately turned into those golden pills, why? Because she is a yaoguai who is a blood thirsty monster at core, the court seals her here so that she wouldn't venture outside eating and killing humans, but since you the destined one trying to set her free the taoist god has to turn her into a pill so no more funny business.
Now for a side context (a little spoilers for the next chapter), Taishang Laojun and wukong was one acquaintance and enemy, wukong who drinking all of his golden pills was punished and trapped inside the furnace to turn him into ashes for 7749 days, but the furnace couldn't even harm wukong and was merely scourching his eye from the smoke, Taishang Laojun decided to an use the samadhi fire which is the most powerful fire in all realm, later when the time was up, wukong not only doesn't getting any injured from the furnace flame but also gaining the golden fire eyes of truth after a long period of time staying in it, the angry wukong escaped and demolished the furnace, dropping it down to the mortal realm, the fire from the furnace spread all over a mountain that later was named the fire mountain, this mountain was introduce in the next chapter.
The see through mechanic is like hyper armour you get during the start of a smash heavy if performed out of a light combo

The boss Dusk Veil is actually the "Dawnstar" that Kang-Jin-Loong was looking for in chapter 3 before she got caught in Yellow Brow's "sack". He's one of 28 Mansions in ancient Chinese constellations together with Kang-Jin-Loong and he helped Wukong defeat a scorpion guai in the novel. Now the golden scorpion is looking for revenge for his wife by turning Dawnstar into the Dusk Veil demon.

Many in game hints plus her design and lines in the chinese dub and other chinese cultural hints give away that she is committed to some1 and well her weak spot for the destined one kinda gives away who it is.

When you transform into yellow loong. just keep spamming one or two light and two heavy attack. those 2 heavy attack will stun most of the enemies, so keep spamming it and they will keep in stun. Also the transformation last pretty long

If you ever used the “counterflow” (counterattack) in smash stance, it’s pretty much the same mechanic as Yellow Loong. Just keep fighting with light attack, then do a heavy attack when an enemy swings at you. You’ll counterattack them with your heavy without taking damage, and then you’ll have focus points to use when you stack those counterattacks up
For the worm face transformation, you infect others first before you use it’s hive-mind spell, but it might not be your play style.
