    FISH ON!
    Bravo, sir. Great video and great looking product. I was recently awarded a grant for a Freedom Chair, made by GRIT, courtesy of the Challenged Athletes Foundation. I’m anxiously awaiting its arrival.
    I too am a fly fisherman and am looking forward to being able to reach those seemingly unreachable locations. Unreachable until the Freedom Chair. However, this device of yours...WOW! I never knew they existed. I’ve joked with my friends about how I would really like a Traxx Chair, knowing they cost over $10k.(the joking part).
    The Freedom Trax might be what I’ve been looking for all along. I’m off to research the Freedom Trax. Thank you for sharing your experience and keep making videos. You seem to have knack for it.

    I'm been looking at various adaptions to manual chairs to allow for more mobility on less than favorable terrain. This is a good start. Love to see the weight of the product decrease a lot. Its rather slow. Great ideas here. Thanks for working to make things more accessible. Thumbs up.

    What size are those Knobby Tires on your chair and Where did you get them? The reason I asked is I had to go to a narrower tire to fit my Freedom Trax. The Knobby Tries I was running are too wide. Thanks!!! PS I love my Freedom Trax it is a life changer.

      I got the knobby tires at a local bike shop. I took them a wheelchair wheel and they put on Maxxis Holy Roller 24 x 1.85. They glued a strip of some kind of material inside tire to prevent stickers from poking through. Very happy with them but be careful as they will tear your butt up if you transfer over them. I also got some sores from leaning over them to do work while I was at the ranch. Suggest putting a small towel or something across them. They do the job they are supposed to on the ground but just some safety tips.

    How long does the battery last?

    • @WildBillAdventures
      @WildBillAdventures  2 года назад +2

      It really depends on your weight, the terrain and how fast you go. I have used it all day working and moving around all day at the ranch. I don't think I have ever run the battery out and that includes the day I took about a 4 mile trail that was steep going up. Hope that helps.

    Can you mount a snow plow on it?

    • @WildBillAdventures
      @WildBillAdventures  2 года назад

      I can't but you might be able to do something. Not sure it could traction on snow and push additional weight because it is just a wheelchair assist.

    2 years in.... Any issues? How has it held up?

    • @WildBillAdventures
      @WildBillAdventures  Месяц назад +1

      I upgraded the cog system to the current version and that made a huge difference. It is still chugging away at ranch in the sandy soil up there. No other issues to report so I would say it's a winner!!

    These things are stupid unstable on rough and uneven ground. Biggest mistake was buying a set . Not going to sell them because they atr to dangerous

    • @WildBillAdventures
      @WildBillAdventures  Год назад

      Thanks for the feedback Pete. I don't know anything in the wheelchair universe that is stable in rough terrain. Knowing your equipment and your own physical limitations and then operating in that zone can be rewarding. Just being able to get off the sidewalk and explore on my own has been my favorite part of Freedom Trax. Send me an email and I'll come take your FT off your hands and put them to good use.

      @@WildBillAdventures considering the trax fall over at around 10deg sideways and ride on the anti tip at about the same angle they are pretty much useless. I live in a tropical rainforest and they struggle big time in any mud , slope , uneven path .the plastic tracks have no real bight as a matter of fact the chair threw me off going down a path with a garden hose crossing it it just slid down the hose . As far as the trax thanks for the offer to take them but I will totally re-engineer them to make a tool carrier . They are not all terrain by any stretch of the imagination more ok for soft ground and smooth formed paths . If you want to know what real all terrain is look up magic mobility X8 or the action trackchair . I am a tad to far away from you to make it viable to pick them up am in North Queensland Australia. Be very careful as they will kick you off without warning.
