I know exactly what you mean with the stock dsg. If rolling around 5mph it stays in 2nd and won't drop to 1st when it should. I stop completely to make it downshift to 1st, it will also refuse to drop to 1st with the paddles which is annoying.
I also find myself dropping down manually when going up hill when it thinks 6th gear at 30mph is the best gear putting strain on the engine. So frustrating.

SOO right about the stock DSG... I have a B8, and it drives me CRAZY how it just refuses to get into 1st at crawling speeds, whilst in auto mode. If you throw the shifter into manual (without even initiating a downshift), it will then automatically get into 1st ... which is odd considering that the trans logic code is thinking "we need to be in first" when in manual, but overlooks that fact in auto mode. And then if you don't do that, as you astutely point out, it rides the clutch in 2nd for a bit until it gets full bite which makes me crazy. This is the biggest tech flaw for this car in terms of day to day driving that I've found - considering this is anal German engineering! Glad to know I can get a tune to fix it. I adore this car but hearing another owner/fan point out this infuriating idiosyncrasy out is rather cathartic! lol, cheers.

Hi guys.. I just tuned my SQ5 2015 to 034MOTORSPORT TCU 7200RPM TUNE. I'm stage 2plus dual pully ecu.
I went to a test drive... the power goes down from 6000 to 7200rpm... and after two pulls the car now goes slow...
I checked for faults and yessssss there is p034000 camshaft position sensor circuit. It doesn't erase. Active fault.
Am I fucked my AUDI? or what?
The situation now is : long starter (2 sec) to start. And the car goes like it has 100hp. No strange noise or somthing. Any suggestion before I'm crying here?
Totally notice the lagging on acceleration without doing a complete stop on my Dual Pulley ECU Tune. Havent gotten the 034 TCU tuen yet, but hopefully i see the same improvement!

I think the same thing is happening too me. I just flashed stage 1 ecu tune. Works a treat. Tried to do tcu tune and keep getting the same error code. “Drivetrain returned false. Response 7F 28 7F” I have no idea what’s going on. Have I broke something ?😫

Edit: forgot to add. I bought everything IE also. From intake to stage 1&2 tunes. Got the pulley too waiting to go on & IE intake. So full IE car. This is also because of you 😂

Since having the DSG map, has your upshift farts disappeared? I’ve just got to stage 1+ and dsg map and my farts have gone 😭. But I know have 481PS and 605NM.

Some people say that the DSG farts are gone after going stage 1 or TCU tune, is that true?

i have an audi s4 b8.5 with its mounted pulley and tunnig malone. my gearbox works normally when I drive normally on the street but when I want to accelerate fully it does not change gear and I have to throw the gear on the steering wheel to make a race. I want to know if it is normal or what happens to it. I was also told that It could be programming. 3 weeks ago I isolate the transmission maintenance complete with everything new. I fly I say the car handles super well but that fault only has it if you step on the acceleration pedal all of a sudden
I am having a hard time getting my TCU tuned, I have an early b8.5, the car hangs and bogs on launch. IE was able to fix the issues with that?

How you'd compare EPL vs IE? Do you have anybody in your town running EPL Stage 1 to race with 0-60/80 and compare?
im a b8 with the same transmission as eli. Have epl stage 1 tcu and ecu. I do 0-60 in about 3.8-3.9 seconds with 4k rpm launch control. Eli's probably close to the same

The only "issue" with the gearbox exists with the Mechatronic on the older transmissions. By 2011 Audi was fitting a revised part on the assembly line that addresses this.
