Excellent Content - Thank you for making these reviews, many of us just search RUclips to find an Amazon review, to figure out which board + breakout to buy!
Hi, Thanks for the kind words. Freenove really makes quality products. I think you'll like it 👍
I found this break-out-board to use with another ESP32-S3 board but soon found out it's only compatible with the two Freenove boards. This turned out Ok since I was now introduced to the quality Frenove ESP-S3 Cam board. Looks like a keeper, just found your video on using the cam with my phone, cam is actually better quality than I had imagined. Thanks for both videos, keep them coming.
I agree. Freenove makes quality products. The picture quality is good for a camera so compact and cheap. Maybe i'll get back to this board and make another video very soon. Thanks for leaving a message and good luck with your project~
wow, thank you for this review! I'm busy with making a couple of these boards myself and the LED's are a great addition. Will be open source.
Hey there! thanks for watching.
Freenove makes nice products and this is one of them. Good luck with your projects 👍
I've decided to mainly use Freenove ESP32s because of the solid build quality and excellent presentaton of Freenove products! 👍🏿
I totally agree with you. Top quality and documentation for their products. Thanks for the comment! good luck with your iot projects
What about the GND pins and I2c channels , please make an elaborate video on thia board
Sorry it has taken so long. I will be making this video next. 👍
Have you connect this board to stepper motor drivers I have the tb6600
I have not but that sounds like a useful video! I haven't used the tb6600. It looks like a solid driver, one that I may want to use in a project.
I just purchased one and will check it out. You should be able to connect them, just watch your connections. Make signal voltages are compatible between your MCU and the TB6600 driver and connect a common ground.
Im thinking of using this on a cnc project. The drives require 5v ground singnal instead of 3.3v. Will this breakout board and external power supply allow this? Thanks
There's a 5v supply on the board but I would not attach any type motor to it. I would use external power and use the breakout board to control the signal pin. I'm actually in the process of making a video that answers that exact question. 👍
Cool! thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! Good luck with your projects 👍
Thank you so much!
Thank you for posting this! I hope it was helpful 💪👍
Just got a v1.1 board but can't connect to Wifi nor get AP mode running. As soon as I remove the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 from board, than it works.
did you install the driver?
@@BMonsterLaboratory Driver for the Breakout Board? Nope. It only has logic IC buffer, and some power IC, dosen't it? For the ESP32-S3 USBSerial chip (CH343) yes, that works.
Sorry, I read your question wrong. You are correct. Does the pinout of your board match the pins of the breakout board?
@@BMonsterLaboratory PinOut seems identical to yours. Mayor diff: In your vid Pin38 led is lit, for me it's 39. Diff No2: when I move my finger over the jumpers/screw terminals LEDs light up. I've not configured the ESP Pins (left them floating?), for testing I'm using only BuiltIn LED.
I'm experiencing the same issue. Have you ever solved it?
