That’s awesome. I’m not a huge fan of the look of the rope chain, but this video showed me a great way to use that softer metal wire to practice making any of the chains essentially. Great video
Finally someone how actually shows how to make a chain and not a jeweler show how to do it all super fancy and expensive thanks 🙏🏼 I subscribed good luck
Snagging Bass22 what an ignorant comment! You do know that jewelers make jewelry for a living and they do so on a daily basis, right? Therefore it makes only sense for them to get good gear to do their job properly. You on the other hand are obviously some backyard wannabe who wants to do it on the cheap and then bitches and complains when the professionals do it professionally, using professional gear! Pffff!
PacoVL46 all i am saying is that it is nice to find someone who shows how to make this the cheap way if you are on a budget and don’t have a lot of money to spend. i am not a jeweler i just like to make stuff like this for fun that is what i am getting at that, there is no reason to argue over something so small i understand when someone has a job as a jeweler and need good equipment to do there job i understand everything, all i was saying is thank you for making a good video there was no reason for you to say anything.
PacoVL46 I don’t get why you have to call me stupid. Huff is a jeweler because he make silver chains and makes them professional i am not calling out any jewelers I respect them i am not complaining it seems you are complaining about MY comment so it is the opposite and you are the one with the ignorant comment like I said i am only saying thank you
Huss Thank you for taking the time to making these videos.. for years I've wanted to become jewler, goldsmith.. whatever title u put on it since I was a kid.. but unfortunately I didn't have anyone close to me nor did I know of anyone in the field to which I could shadow or be an apprentice. But its never stopped me from trying to learn on my own.. and outta all the research I've done and videos I've watched..you have the best... Can't wait to see more.. thanks agin
Shawn Reed thank you for your comment any time I will try to help we are all all ways learning and keep trying to do something special what ever it may be good luck
Huss I’m looking to make a 20 inch Diamond cut rope that is 8mm thick. What size jump rings do I need to use? Is this essentially how you do the Diamond cut except soldering it and filing it down?
Not sure I think a began with about 2 meters and needed some more the wire was cheap so I bought extra when I do something for the first time I always make a sample about 2-3 inches that’s how I work out the size thank you for watching
What was the overall length of the wire before you coiled it? Would 1m of wire at the same diameter be long enough for the same length chain as your finished item?
Adnan Serfraz hello if I can help I will first I need to know what it is do you have a picture send it to askMadebyhuss @gmail.com and I’ll see I am working on a new video new though take care
How can I purchase your work. I’m looking to buy a 9mm rope chain. I respect your craftsmanship let’s connect give your PayPal I will send money 💴 to show you not just talk.
Marc Taylor Thank you for your kind words I now work for a company that don’t make chains like this I just wanted to make this for my channel not many jewellers would make a chain like this handmade because of the cost but thank you for watching
Can't understand all these raving comments, the rings aren't even round, full of little dints and scratches, and your pliers will scratch them even more.

Lindíssimo 😍 😍 👏👏👏👏👏
How much wire would you need to make one for an 18.5 inch neck? Thank you for the awesome videos!

LLord Frost yes 1m I used about 2and a half sorry I didn’t put that in the video thanks for your comment
this is cool I want to try this with tantalum
Let me know how it goes thanks for watching
I'll definitely give this one a try, thanks :)
Super
Thanks
Do you use aluminum or copper crafting wire?
I think this one is aluminium but it is very soft not very practical
Good !!! 🤙🤙🤙🤙
Edson Bareback Thanks for watching
Nice boy
how long does the material need to be? and how long should the pole we wrap it around be?
i think I used about 3 meters as for the rod was about 10 inches long so i made more than one coil
This is amazing work, so how do I choose the different gauges/thicknesses of the wire and the rods you wrapped the wire around in the beginning?
This was the only wire I found I other sizes you will have to try a sample I can’t tell you exactly
Can you make the circles bigger for bigger chain , I’ve tried and tried and it doesn’t look anything like this , it looks as tight as yours
If the links are bigger the wire has to be thinker to close the gabs
Would making this chain that way come apart easily?.
yes it would however if you use silver or copper brass pr gold it won't this is just to show how to make it
Cooool
Thanks
DOPE 😎🔗⛓class work ..
Thanks and thank you for watching
Pretty cool! :-)
thank you
Thank you
Niiice chain i actully want one
RNGD Rocket thanks try making and let me know how you get on thanks for watching
What metal is best for practice
One Zig Zag Allah the users in this chain was crafting wire you can all use copper
This chain surely can not last long ?
This is just something people can start to learn with basic level the same thing can be made with silver and be soldered hope this helps
@@MadeByHuss What i was trying to say was, if you do not solder , it will break very quick ?
@@vem4o yes it's not practical
@@MadeByHuss Do you think that how all of them stainless steel chains are made or amazon
Question... do your jump rings have to be oval, and if so, what do you use to “ovalize” it?
Gavin Doubrava yes I show this in the video lol I use to different size rods
Hola, cómo se calcula la cantidad de eslabones???
I don’t know I just used what I had
Where did you get wire like that? I cant find it anywhere

That won’t work it needs to be soldered
what gauge wire is this?
OpenIt I tell you in the video 2mm wire thank you
That’s 12 gauge wire.
can you do this with circle shape aswell
AHMAWAN shiro parrish well you can but for me the gaps look to big because you have to use a bigger links but if you like it that way that’s fine
I wanted to hand make it first then solder it
Thanks

MadeByHuss thank you for replying. If the price is right why not?
What size of oval are you making? Approximately
Larry Dallas 1.6 and 4.7 to rods in side diameter with 2mm wire
Sorry the finish diameter is 9 mm
Can you cast a rolex logo
Lil Moe me no you would have to ask a caster for that
It didn't work for me because I was using really thin wire and I used scissors to cut it
Can't understand all these raving comments, the rings aren't even round, full of little dints and scratches, and your pliers will scratch them even more.
