Does Japan really offer good pay compared to the US? Plus the language, the work culture and the general attitude of the local population towards foreigners kinda makes Japan a difficult choice. I would rather move to the US or any Nordic country tbh. But that´s just me...

Same, Japan also has a declining population, which causes taxes to increase and wages to decrease .

It doesn’t really offer a good pay by global standards unless you work for an international company. But if you do your own business like I do then the individual pay differences between countries don’t matter as much.
I just personally prefer it to the US at this stage of my life. Maybe in 10 years, I’ll be somewhere else?
As for general attitudes towards foreigners, if you make an effort to learn the language then people are appreciative and more people will like you. If you don’t then the longer you spend here, the less nice some people will be to. There are many cases of people being here for almost 20 years and not knowing even knowing basic grammar. Those kinda foreigners are looked down upon in my experience. But the same can be said for a lot of countries, if you lived in any another country for 20 years and only knew a couple sentences in the local language after it, some locals won’t nice to you.

Unfortunately, life is truly getting difficult in the UK.

In the UK. Ive always been ambitious. My favourite quote is from Tyler the Creator. "Clenched a keyboard across my path, cashed my first cheque, and said fuck depression n-".
That fuck you, im just gonna do shit attitude has given me success despite scAm levels and Mickey Mouse University.
Me just going in head first, has let me do the craziest things.
Im not sure what to do next, because the US sucks, but I cant afford average rent in the UK. Raising a family is expensive. But at least US pays engineers, good experience, attitude, and great women! Eh, well some!

Could you give some more information about the visas you mentioned, just a name or link etc please

Each country’s talent visa is called something different but you can search “Talent Visa X country” and see. Or you can find a list online like this: ep-advisory.com/blog/best-countries-with-talent-visas-worldwide-full-guide-with-expert-tips/

Two questions: why is the aim to make so much money (talking about people in high earning jobs earning less in the UK than the US)? Secondly, you talked about low mood in the UK, but Japan does (and has historically) had a significantly higher suicide rate. I know this isn't the only measure of happiness but I would like to know your opinion. Are people happier in Japan than in the UK in your experience? Very interesting video though. I would definitely agree with the culture of needless complaint in the UK!

Of course you don’t have you make more money but money generally gives you freedom which I like. And not having enough is a common reason for unhappiness in many people’s lives.
For example, one of my good friends. Her grandma was dying in China during Covid and her mom living in the US couldn’t afford to visit her mom (ie, grandma) to say goodbye for the last time because the flight tickets from the US to China were about $10,000ish US dollars during that time in Covid. So her mom didn’t go because she didn’t have the money. And my friend said she really wished she had the money for her mom but she was only a student so didn’t either.
As for the suicide rate, yes it’s unfortunately true. I think Japan is a country with more extremes than the UK. So you find extremely low crime but you find other more negative extremes. It’s quite interesting.
But the best way to learn about a country is to visit it yourself.

generalising people in the UK is insane lol. in every part of every bit of the world you will find people who will support you and bring you down you just need to surround yourself with the right people

    • @RAmjad
      @RAmjad  5 часов назад +4

That’s true. But I think in some countries and cities, certain types of people and character traits are more common than others. For example, the level of ambition of the average person in say San Francisco is definitely higher than London. Of course, you can find much individual variation
Given many others move to a city or country because of goals (eg, many people move to San Francisco to start a startup or people move to LA if they wanna make it big in the entertainment industry). You’ll likely find more people who share similar goals to you in such places

UK people are trash they should be generalised I still get called a freshie and am made fun of till this day my accent is british, been living here since 3 years changed 2 schools yet not a true right person I've found, worst decision to come here and I can't even go back cuz my parents think the education is best here and competition in my home country is too much when here its equal to my home country but ofc they don't realize it. Everyone at my school is in tight friend circles and they and nobody wants to accept me in their circle, people make fun of my looks even the kids in the lower years make fun of me and I tried everything I talked to so many people but.. I have lost all motivations for my alevels and I just wanna go back to my home country I dont wanna live in this hell
