I let you have it Chris! Great BTS Peter, the vertical iPhone does the job! Awesome content, nothing better than watching these, will have to do one myself soon!
Dope edit. Love how much thought was put into a video like this. The colour grading for that video was just unreal. Well done Pete and Kirk and all your team. Love seeing the commentary videos. Would love to more of it.
Not going to lie, I liked this far more than the actual short film. I just love seeing what goes into these large projects and what the creative thought process is behind each scene. There's also so many small details which are easily overlooked that you are able to fully experience with a video like this. Fantastic work as always Peter! Continually pushing the bar further and further!
This all looks so simple and fast, but every creator knows, that this is so hard work and so much time. Thank you Peter for inspire me for my little poor german photowalks.
This is the type of stuff film makers like you need to be posting. This type of commentary is what helps everyone progress. Thank you Peter, you're the man.
As a violinist I truly appreciated how you used the b roll to compliment the music in such an artistic sense. I learned so much from this video. Give us more please!
One of my favorite parts to this BTS video is the thumbnail. Nice work as usual. Oh and of course the dudes sound design is sick. Video production is top notch. Keep up the great work.
I just loooove this. So great to see your insight, the creativity and meaning behind each shot. Super inspirational, just makes me want to make films all day 🤓
This was amazing, I definitely learned so much and will be using some of these methods that I've learned in my future videos :). Love your videos Peter!
I am watching your videos for about a year. All are good... but this one is just amazing, it's always a pleasure to watch you in the working process, but this is a two in one. Now you are showing your working process, through another talent's working process. I am a photographer for more than ten years, in the last year I've been inspired to start making videos! Thank's Pete! I love this new magical world :)
Dude seriously I prefer watching this kind of video with you because when I watching this alone I could never notice this amazing thing you talking about. When I was watching this alone I thought - aa it's okay, good movie. But now when I am watching it and you explanation and pay attention on each sound I have shivers down my back. Thank you for your job Pete. Bless
Same! And its friggin Late! PETEEEER! Man... this is so good that I can't stop but "hating" you abit for keeping me up for another 20mins! So good! This is a new phase of your career and I'm even more interested in this one. Thanks for the constant inspiration. :)
Thanks Peter for the BTS video. I wanted to the see the amount of effort that an individual invests to be able to create a scene. Since I started creating videos to share insights, looking the amount of effort, I wanted to see what someone like Christopher Nolan would be putting in. Came on RUclips searched for film editing BTS, and found your video. While it was not surprising to see the amount of time invested, but it is a different experience to see someone actually do it. Of course you showed a small chunk - a chunk containing the essence of the entire film editing experience.
Dude, you got my attention for 18:47 minutes (something difficult these days) and I'm waiting for more! Thanks for sharing inspiration. Do you always love the content you just made?
Looooooove seeing your editing and how you work through problems. I’ve watched this several times (and sometimes just to hear you sing - damn cute) - love the ideas and inspiration you bring to all of us. Thank you soooooooo freakin much for sharing!
it was so insightful to see the BTS process, so much thought went into even the smallest milliseconds. Looking forward to more videos like this in 2020
I just want to share my experience watching almost every video Pete produced. It gave me inspiration. 4 years ago I'm working as document controller here in Abu Dhabi UAE. Then I started watching his video because my friend told me so when I ask him which application should I use on editing my mobile photo. My friend told me use LR and watch the tutorial of Pete. To make it Short I watched the Videos try my skills I learned in different competition like the Rotana Hotel Photo Contest. I won the Grand Price thanks to the style I developed and now I'm working in Australian company as Photographer/Videographer Marketing Officer.. I don't know how I can return the favor. Just want to thank you and keep on inspiring fans like me. God Bless.
I saw that and was like, woah I need to start building my sound library. so I just started googling free SFX packs and in an hour I had thousands of sound effects to sort out 😂
Hey Pete, long time fan from Australia 🇦🇺 (just moved to DC) ... what was it like editing with music that was developed post edit to match the visuals? Or did Hendrick score the music first? Great job to you and the team!! Keep it up. It’s inspiring. 👌🏽🤙🏽 Dave.

This is a masterpiece!
Man I love these directors cut type of videos
Love how the sound effects all come together, that is my biggest struggle. Great inspiration!!!!
Anyone Else think Peter needs his own RUclips Original?
When captions think “arctic circle” is “dog fixer” 😂 - also, love this breakdown of sound editing and finding inspiration for natural beat creation!
Odd. Especially when the Arctic Circle is probably the only place on earth you couldn't find someone competent to fix your dog.
I would love to hear the whole "Do you want to build a snowman" song from you. :)
