Roof Valley Leaking and simple quick fix

Wow wish you were on Sacramento ca,,,the guys here only want to do a whole roof ,,I have the same problem your dealing with can't find the leak on top its coming thur the wood under the porch and dripping the back side of the gutter

Good quick fix but wouldn't cost much to replace less than a bundle install underlayment and proper flashing.. I can think of a few ways to hide the exposed flashing for it to work great. Still a great solution for super quick free fix. I'll keep in mind.

A few dabs of Geo sealer under flashing to keep in place.

Is it overkill to put the flashing under the 2 shingles coming from both slopes vs just the smaller slope? I hope I'm making myself clear.
