    It nice to see someone who doesn't keep stopping the video all the time. Doing that is quite annoying. A very good reaction from you.

    Derbyshire is so beautiful. You should take a look at some of the caves there.

    • @weejackrussell
      @weejackrussell 4 месяца назад +3

      The best caves to see are in Castleton, it's not far from Bakewell, a short drive from it, and it's another picturesque place. We are used to tourists in this neck of the woods and have a range of hotels, all prices, as well as campsites and lots of places to eat. References to Rutland are because the Duke of Rutland/Manners family is significant to the area.

    I feel your pain about litter. It's the broken window syndrome. If you have a pristine envoronment, there is less litter.

      @@colindebourg9012 People come top Wollaton Park and just leave their rubbish lying around, even though there's plenty of bins. It's disgusting!

    The surrounding countryside is breath-taking. Chatsworth is a magnificent English Great House to visit and to wander the grounds. Hope you are able to react to Chatsworth House and the surrounding countryside some time. Enjoyed this video and your reaction. Thankyou.

      There's not just Chatsworth nearby. Haddon Hall is walking distance from Bakewell. Then there is Bolsover Castle, Hardwick Hall and many more within easy reach.

    Derbyshire and Derby are pronounced 'Darbyshur' and 'Darby' here in the UK.
    I think you might (?) have watched videos explaining how to pronounce - and spell - British words, and the history and reasons for the place-names
    ...an interesting and informative video by
    "Map Men "
    (Jay Foreman and Mark Johnson,
    I believe)

      I used to work with horses and ponies back in the 1970's (I used to teach both
      "Stable Management" _and_ '_Horseriding_' - we don't call it "horseback riding" here - in two London Riding Schools - Dulwich, South East 21, and Lee, South East 12, and in two Riding Schools in two places in the English county of Kent: in _Chelsfield,_ Kent...and in _Meopham_ - pronounced "Mepum" in Kent). 🐴🐴🐴🐴❤️🙂🖖

    There's currently a bit of controversy over the lovelock bridge. The council are having to remove them so they can carry out maintenance on the bridge. Most of them are going to be displayed at the nearby Thornbridge Hall near the previously mentioned Monsal Trail.
