- It's true! The LG Eclair QP5 puts out some massive sound! Size aside, this is a really good sound bar! It only has one real miss that I found during testing!! But for the price, this is a whole solution that will fit in most scenarios! Yup I've been looking for future proof purchase for ps5 and this seems like the only answer this or polk ax but polk sounds better just missing dedicated bass speaker need to find out if lg eclair has it

Surround sound for $399 sounds like a super deal! Intro sounds like they pack a punch ! How does it compare to Bose setup at best buy? I was always amazed at the amount of sound (tight bass) coming from a minimal speaker setup. I have the Echo studio and I believe they use Dolby Atmos. The big receiver sub 5.1 setup use to be cool lol. So for those who haven't upgraded to 120hz 4k what exactly doesn't work when its connecting through the LG eARC?( what the hell is eARC) The sound works only with 60hz 4k video or is it passing through the video through the LG device as well???
Earc is enhanced audio return channel, the newer form of arc, original arc still did compressed audio, earc does uncompcressed due to higher bandwidth
Dolby atmos = true hd / uncompressed audio. dolby digital (compressed dolby 5.1 audio which is supported over older hdmi arc / older than earc connection) or via optical cable this all has nothing to do with hdmi 2.1 as only 2.1 supports 4k 120hz in pass through mode for connecting with ps5 etc
Sonos Beam 2 or Lg DQP 5, which is better for you?

Thanks for this. I'm looking for a Soundbar for my Ps5, but my monitor doesn't have an ARC port. I'm looking for a compact one but I do want those 120Hz, so I'll have to keep looking..
doesnt matter as long your tv supports it. just connect your ps5 to the tv with hdmi and then the soundbar to the hdmi earc port of the tv.

The hdmi cable needs ethernet built in as well for earc, without ethernet youll get standard arc
Hi bud, I heard you are replacing the sinuous beam 2 which also has Atmos. how would you compare are you missing the beam2 after the switch. This or the beam 2 is what I m looking for.

What I find kind of strange is they have a self canceling sub paired with only this miniature sound bar and not the full-size thousand dollar plus sound bars is there a way do you could pair the sub with the other sound bars even if you have to buy it separately and I guess have a paper way to put sound bar if you don’t want the other one because it seems weird that they put the best sub paired with an apartment sound bar

I’d say the mini ax is better than the lg, haven’t been more impressed by a sound bar especially at this size
9 out of 10 times with speakers, bigger is better
That missing 2.1 hdmi output is a deal braker :(
I don't think you really need it when you have eARC. Just plug you stuff to TV, eARC handles the audio... Get a proper receiver if you need good IO.

lower bass is missing…Lower bass : 30hz to 50hz… if u r bass heads then dont buy this … high frequencies are harsh -3k to 5k …. Especially of you increase upfiring speakers

Does the orientation of the subwoofer matter? Does the long side of the rounded rectangle being up against the television cabinet or the wall make a different to the sound produced?
It doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of sound directionality in regard! The subwoofer does a pretty good job of filling the space with low frequencies considering its size compared to the room.
Did u find any compatible rear speaker kit to make it 5.1.2?
