First of all, thank you for the tour. Truly grateful. Secondly..... OMG how hideous is that ship? I absolutely adored Bretagne, yes, she was old and tatty in parts, but hell she had character and a fabulous restaurant (Les Abers). I couldn't see anywhere relaxing, the decor is beyond cheap & nasty. The exterior looks like a kids playground from the 70s together with the awful park benches! Brittany Ferries..... what were you thinking? 😢 A long journey on that thing looks as if it'll be a noise-filled endurance test, not an enjoyable start (or finish) to a lovely break in gorgeous Brittany. My heart is broken, a couple of weeks ago I cancelled the apartment we were due to go to in June until I had a chance to see footage of the new ship. I promised the apartment's owner in St Servan (we go there almost every year) we would rebook in autumn, but after watching this footage I expect to have a massive row with my partner, he'll travel on anything - he's not fussy. I am, and I just can't conceive travelling on this travesty. Especially as BF now expect passengers to pay upfront for food. Is there anything on board to replace Les Abers quality and ambiance? The CC lounge possibly? But it's confusing on their booking site as to where to dine. I am SO depressed now. I love Brittany, hate flying but that may be my preferred option. Brittany Ferries... you have seriously disappointed a very loyal customer.
Many thanks Georges for that tour ! You are very lucky ! (sorry for my poor english, i'm french from a village close to Cherbourg) If i'm not a great fan of the exterior design of e-flexers, i have to admit that the interior looks very nice and quiet !!! And about the exterior design i prefer this shorter version and the stern (better proportion than the 214 m versions). I think the Guillaume de Normandie will be less refined than the St Malo.... not the same line (more place for fret less for accomodations...) i will test too Can't wait to go in !
I agree, the E-Flexers are not the prettiest of ships externally. But I think BF have had much greater freedom to style the interiors of the Saint-Malo in a pleasing way. She really is a big improvement on the Spanish trio. As the GdN will have a full height upper vehicle deck at the expense of cabins, I assume she will inevitably get configured differently.

So the rear of Deck 6 is maybe for the commercial drivers?
Any of those low slung plastic chairs hiding anywhere? I’d love a couple of those for the garden. I’ve never sat in more comfortable a chair. ⛴️😎
Agree, those chairs are lovely. Sad if there are none on the St Malo, those benches don't look very comfortable.
