Any of those low slung plastic chairs hiding anywhere? I’d love a couple of those for the garden. I’ve never sat in more comfortable a chair. ⛴️😎
Agree, those chairs are lovely. Sad if there are none on the St Malo, those benches don't look very comfortable.
So the rear of Deck 6 is maybe for the commercial drivers?
Many thanks Georges for that tour ! You are very lucky ! (sorry for my poor english, i'm french from a village close to Cherbourg) If i'm not a great fan of the exterior design of e-flexers, i have to admit that the interior looks very nice and quiet !!! And about the exterior design i prefer this shorter version and the stern (better proportion than the 214 m versions). I think the Guillaume de Normandie will be less refined than the St Malo.... not the same line (more place for fret less for accomodations...) i will test too Can't wait to go in !
I agree, the E-Flexers are not the prettiest of ships externally. But I think BF have had much greater freedom to style the interiors of the Saint-Malo in a pleasing way. She really is a big improvement on the Spanish trio. As the GdN will have a full height upper vehicle deck at the expense of cabins, I assume she will inevitably get configured differently.
Calm before storm!!
yes you have! ☘️☘️☘️
Yes terry
Yes mate 🎉

Not my proudest tug
Hiya I thought this boat normally operates on Dover Calais?
Another terrific George! Cheers for posting.
Suits the livery...
Calm seas!
Happy New year George!!
0:08 Dixon lorry. Me and my Dad go in one of them. Such a shame they have closed Holyhead Port until 15th January
I always liked fishguard and a nicer drive across to london on the M4. Even Pembroke is better than Holyhead.
Brilliant we don't need Holyhead anymore keep it going
I haven't been in Fishguard for 30 years. It has not changed since the St. Brendan days, Which held 40 trucks max.
Not bad for shafts (ie no azipods). But manoeuvring takes longer and smaller windage envelope
Is the _Stena Adventurer_ now sailing between Fishguard and Dublin? Nice long route.
Yes only because Holyhead port is shut
I've only been through Fishguard at night. Nice to get a chance to see the place.
Painfully slow manoeuvring
Reminds me of the Millennium Falcon, but about 6000 times slower
why does she have no proper lifeboats? surely that's not allowed?
Painfully slow to turn. Not a wind problem judging from the exhaust drift. Fishguard bay was found to be too shallow for Cunarders. The Innisfallen ( To Cork) and the St David ( to Waterford) were much smaller and nimbler in the days before bow thrusters.
Yes I suspect you are right. The 15th January probably is over-optimistic.
Stories locally say it will be around March, but no firm evidence.
I don’t think sailings will resume from follyhead on the the 15th Jan somehow . The berthing piers at Holyhead I have often thought looked a bit flimsy. Now they have a massive problem. Going to need a bigger tug boat at Fishguard soon I think , with more ferries and stronger winds I think also. That small St David tug boat looks tiny. With Isle of Innishfree ferry berthing damage also .
Irish Ferries ship knocked down part of the jetty nothing got to do with the weather
Enough of the consequences. What is the damage?
If this was Dover it would already be reopened.
Dover is a bigger port, with more breaths.
Can this ship fit a coach bus to board, thank you
Well done George...
Does this mean the end of Condor Ferries? Condor Ferries are for sure the fastest ferries!
Why was this the last arrival?
Bretagne is retiring from Brittany Ferries
Such an emotional experience. I welled up many many times that day. Seeing the love she got from the Round Tower sailing out especially was so nice .I did enjoy the send-off that they gave her though. It was impressive, humbling and haunting all at the same time. Great to meet you too and thanks for uploading this (Simon Parsons).
Great to meet you too Simon. It was a very special occasion and I am going to so miss this ship. I’m glad I was able to make the final crossing.
Can people book their bike or cars to board that ship
DFDS sold their Copenhagen-Oslo line to a swedish ferry company, effective 01,nov.24
Interesting times...
Thanks for this item George...
Brittany ferries got it didn’t they ??
Will be gone in 2025 😢, had some great holidays as a kid on the Bretagne and Quiberon from Plymouth, will be replaced with another Eflexer with no character … end of an era
When did that video came out
It’s gonna be a shame to say goodbye to her after 35 years of service
Gorgeous girl she is 🥰🥰🥰🥰
When looking over the stern, the port side will be on your right, so this is the starboard corner (or rather more correctly, the stern in the starboard quarter).
