- 1983 appearance of Reunion on Merv Griffin. Jim Pike, Bob Engemann and Ric de Azevedo are Reunion. Jim and Bob from the original The Lettermen and Ric from The King Family. They perform a Lettermen Hits Medley.
I was Lucky enough to do sound for them in 1984 for shows in Idaho and Utah ... But As I remember it , it was Jim Pike , Gary Pike and Bob Engemann.... It was a Blessing to work with them ...
That is the correct lineup for the Lettermen at the time, however, this was Jim's new group
I have always loved these guys. Their music transcends time. Thanks for the music boys.
RIP Jim Pike and Bob Engemann.
I still have the original Cassette of these songs. It was in my daughter's Boombox. All these years I thought I had donated this boombox! Now it is in my granddaughter 's bedroom and she listens to it when she stays overnight with us.It is heart warming and timeless.
This sounded just like the original Lettermen. Jim's falsetto is distinctive.
Sounding exactly as they did in 1961. Jim ‘s tenor is magnificent. Bob and Richard are terrific as well. What a blend!
Priceless performance!
so glad you are posting these
No doubt about it....Jim and Bob WERE the voice of the Lettermen. I love all the guys, but I never noticed until now.
Hey Patrick -- they do have the original Lettermen Sound! Thanks!
I Love them.
Too bad they could not keep the original group together. It's always ego that ruins these musical acts...
I am trying to find a CD for my stereo of these songs.
Elle NM74 its currently on eBay type search Lettermen and you'll see it, or you can order directly from Reunion website
Where’s Tony Butala’s harmonious vocal⁉️
