@Burndown ive been scouring the net to find a pwm fan that would work and look good with an aluminum shroud I got for my 2017 gmc sierra. Your solution is the winner. Ill be ordering soon. Any idea how long back orders will take?
@@newbtubetecherI have to order the fans in batches from the laser house so I have a minimum order I need to hit. It depends on how fast the orders come in but I won’t make you wait forever and I’ll keep everyone posted. Also if you get sick of waiting I will gladly refund you if you decide that it’s too long of a wait. I build them myself so if you follow my social media I will keep everyone updated. We already have a few orders in!
Thank you! We will be placing the order with the laser facility end of the week and I will keep everyone posted on here and IG on the progress of them. I can’t wait for more people to start using them!
Great video, very informative. I also say go with OEM, they have spent millions on r&d. Lot people say an OEM product will not stand the test of time (part stops working). Used OEM will usually out last new aftermarket. My .02.😉
Could i just ground out the pwm signal to bypass needing that signal and make it an on/off only deal? I want to use this in an older carbed car with no pwm capabilities(ecu) lol
No. It shuts off over 95% duty cycle. They do have pwm controllers you can buy to control it but I have not played with them yet. If we find a good reliable one that’s cheap I’ll share it but till then I can’t help in that department. It needs to see 90-100hrtz and 20-95% duty cycle to fire off
@@knowbull5hit590 they are on back order so either way is a bit of a wait. We have fired them off with a cheap Amazon controller so they do wirk I just can’t vouch for the controller as how long they last type deal. lingenfelter makes one but it’s 200$ and I think other big names do as well.
You mean have them kick on with AC? If you wanted to do that you could just set a trigger input in your fan set up to turn it on with AC yes. It will burn an input to do that. You can run the fan through a can I/o as well if you need more inputs.
You’ll need just over 3” to clear the holder off of a 1/2” shroud. You can offset it to one side or the other and sue the big open space for things that may be close if that makes sense
@@SneakerKidd101 The tecnical term is a lot. Adjustable hammer Racing did a test with a cheap air meter you can check out and it was like 2200 on the front of his radiator I believe. It has nice wide blades to move some air. Most aftermarket fans have skinny blades and spin fast but don’t seem to move the same volume of air to me but I’m not a scientist.
In the trucks they have two of these. Most passenger cars aren’t going to have a radiator core large enough for two of them but you could run more then one if you wanted to. I will be installing a pair on and off road truck here at some point. I’ll use it as an install video and put it ip

i know you showed on another video how to set up the PWM in the holley software but is there a way to also control the fan with A/C.
Yes, I do it all the time at work.

What’s the depth of it assembled? I don’t have much room between the rad and WP
