As a former elementary school teacher, you have no idea how pleased (and proud) that there are still some parents who involve their children with actual "work experiences" rather than some mundane "make-do" games. Seeing those four youngsters carrying, lifting, Jenga-ing, and using grown up power saws just made me grin from ear to ear. Kudos to you two parents!
Your pets are so cute , I’m so exiting to see you are framing the house , the female cats need to fix too honey , and if your area don’t have hawks or coyotes, then you are ok to leave them outside too , hawks are quick predators so please be careful, love and enjoying to watch your channel .❤the family picture tried to pushed the walll up , that is a great and memories portrait one .
What a wife you have mate ! So hard working…and it’s looking great ..won’t be long you will be living in a beautiful house ,,,all the best from outback Western Australia..PS the pic of the kids hanging on to those uprights ? Priceless
I've been watching this channel and the Countryside Acres channel and comparing the progress. So many similarities between the two channels, but some interesting differences also.
A wonderful team effort by your entire family. Even your dog and kittens got into the action. It’s always so inspiring to see a family working together in harmony.
Jacob you're a very lucky man to have such an amazing wife and great kids. You'll have such a wonderful home filled with personal memories and so many accomplishments. That's a feat enjoyed by very few. A home you've all built together!😊👍💗🇨🇦
You have no idea how much of a blessing it is to watch your family all work together in unison. This is truly a family home built by everyone. I am so excited to see the walls go. Next there’s a roof and then the interior and then move-in day, blessings to you and your wonderful family❤❤
Great job! Enjoy your watching your videos. Some people just stand there and talk into the camera instead of shooting what is happening. Yours are perfect! 👍🏻 I must be a visual person! 🤪
It just now occurred to me that your channel title that includes the word boulder is a play on the true nature of your adventure with the word bolder. It definitely takes cahoonas to go out to the wild open spaces to create a home away from civilization. Boldness by any stretch of the imagination.
You're home is coming along so well, I am looking forward to seeing how beautiful I will be, in the meantime you're family makes my Sunday, just watching you all work so hard to make it happen ❤
New to the channel and retired Framer/Ironworker/Electrician. Been living the off grid dream for 4 years at our current location in the NM high desert with 10 years total off grid. I was taught framing by a master framer John Godfrey in Hawaii in the early 90's. He referred to outside exterior corners as California corners because of the configuration of the corner and the elimination of 1 stud per corner All walls that butted another wall was called a T or partition and was locked in at the top plate. The way your family is working together is a blessing to be a witness of. It has been my contention that the last 2 generations are ruined but to watch you teaching them has restored some hope that they aren't. Thank you
Looking really good, you can see the house appearing before your eyes, great to have the kids involved in the build as well. Great content and a great channel❤❤❤❤
Natalie, another great video with great content, editing and music. It is so nice to see the kids pitching in helping with their home construction. Your floor plan and room locations look like this will be a very efficient home. The pantry/elevator will be a wonderful feature of your home. Many blessings to all of you folks.
What a good job you … all of you … are doing on your homestead build. Your children are building such great memories which will last a lifetime. What great parents you are, and the best role models for your children's formative years. Beautiful!!!
I think it’s great getting the kids to help for education point. This is just me the saws I was holding my breath hoping they don’t try to use it when you’re not looking. Again just me. The kids taking the cut wood and playing tower tumble was great.
Great job on this video. Love seeing your vision being laid out. If I ever had a house built I would chose Boulder Life to be my designer and builder. Could be a future there.
Right about halfway on the first floor. Great work. Loved watching the kids playing jinga with the stacked end cuts. Look forward to watching more. Thanks.
Where a wall butts into another wall and not at a corner, I always called that a Tee. You are doing a VERY professional job, regular framing crews don't take as many pains to be as correct as you do. Your home is going to be very well built. Of all the channels I watch, yours is number one in perfection and knowing what you are doing. Not blowing smoke, just stating facts.
Yes, consider adding ring shank nails. The holding power of a ring shank nail is a lot better. In fact, when the time comes to nail down the sub floor on the 2nd floor, with the combination of an adhesive and ring shank nails, let's just say you be super happy down the road.
Oh my goodness its looking amazing, as always the kids are involved ive loved seeing the changes as theyve come along im glad ive been here since the start and hopefully ill be here till the end xxx
Like #531 DRONE INTRO..!!! Wow.. GREAT progress.. walls, trusses and a roof.. you could have it "dried in" in a couple of months. Check out them MAD EDITING SKILLZ. LOL.. the PERFECT POUNCE. Well done peeps. Weather is super great too.
love the new boots, all the explainations are awesome....great examples to share,, thanks...good to have the kids involved...awesome saw job mackenzie...and another game creation....jenga...wahoo..love all the tidbits of supplies and stuff on how you are doing things..so awesome to see and watch you guys...thanks for sharing
I love your channel! I look forward to watching it every Sunday before Church. The kittens are too cute. Mama cats are generally better mousers than males because they have the natural instinct for needing to feed their babies. ♥️
I have learned that comments help. Yet I probably took more from this episode than I could give so this comment is for the Algorithm. Keep up the great work. Love seeing the kids involved. what a great opportunity and learning experience for them.
You’re guys are awesome. I wish you could get some extra help to the house closed in before your winter/ snow starts. If I lived in USA I’d come and help even if it was to fetch and carry. Howe I’m over 6000miles away Keep going God bless
Jacob, I just want to leave you with a tip on framing. When you nail the last stud in a wall that perpendicularly butts to another wall leave that last stud perhaps an eighth inch short from the end of your plate. This way when you naul this wall to the perpendicular wall your plates will butt tight. Obviously this also applies to walls that butt end to end.
When I was building I found a few stages to be very satisfying, framing was the first, I didn’t really like concreting by comparison. With framing you are doing a lot of thinking and creative problem solving. Loved seeing the kids involved, your young boy is keen to help that’s great.
I just subscribed to your channel, I love your channel. As a fully qualified builder and carpenter I think you’re doing an excellent lob. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺.
If you cut half way through the bottom side of the plate where the doors are. it makes it so much easier to finish cutting the plate when you comes to remove that bit
I do agree with the person, who spoke about having your children involved with putting up walls and using power tools. This will be life lessons that a family builds together stays together. Just saying. When I built anything I wanted to do it right. Build once and not go back to do redos. It is looking good. Always looking forward to your next video.

Another great video the house is looking good!!
Loved this video. Great job Natalie. It's so cool the kids are involved. It must feel awesome doing what you are doing for and with your family ❤

Another awesome build day
You are all an inspirational family and doing an amazing job with your home build
The kids have earned bragging rights - they helped dad & mom frame the family house.
I like your fast motion nail gun action
Looking great you guys, going to be a beautiful home, and you’ve done it yourselves how cool is that, God Bless you all, your Alaskan friend
Your kids are going to remember these days forever. You are also building pride in their home in them. Special special days.
A wonderful team effort by your entire family. Even your dog and kittens got into the action. It’s always so inspiring to see a family working together in harmony.
WOW! Hard Work; for just 2 people! Going to be Breathtaking!
You should have a gasket on the interior walls too when on a cement pad !!
Your children have brilliant imagination.
You guys amaze me each week. Looking good.
Y'all are doing an AWESOME JOB! Lookin great!
Jacob you're a very lucky man to have such an amazing wife and great kids. You'll have such a wonderful home filled with personal memories and so many accomplishments. That's a feat enjoyed by very few. A home you've all built together!😊👍💗🇨🇦
Your dear wife is worth her weight in Gold . She really puts all she has IN IT .

We love watching you guys! We wait all week for our Sunday morning treat❤
Another pretty sunset.😮
So good to see the kids help build the house. It is looking great.
This looks amazing!! You two work so well together and you have a wonderful crew!! The kids are so creative, coming up with their own Jenga game!!
Great editing skills, Natalie. Thanks for sharing
Looking good. The kids are getting a great experience building their own house!
Great job! Enjoy your watching your videos. Some people just stand there and talk into the camera instead of shooting what is happening. Yours are perfect! 👍🏻 I must be a visual person! 🤪
Looking fantastic and especially having the whole family helping 😊.
U guys are doing a beautiful job, wish I could afford to buy you all some eye and head protection. Keep on rockin, folks.

Coat your upstairs floors with bathroom tanking. Tarps are no good.
Absolutely a wonderful job you’ve done a foundation and framing in the time it’s taken me to redo my bathroom with tile lol
What A great home your building. I smile the kiddos are a big help
Framing is looking good.
Another ray of sunshine😊
👍👍

Love the insulation board as the sandwich in the outside headers😊
It was wonderful watching the kids helping with the build of your home. Y'all are great parents
my 4 kids were my best helpers too. 3 boys one girl aged around 30 now.
Growen up in a blink of an eye
That sure is a lovely and functional layout of your downstairs area.
❤😊❤😊❤😊
So happy for you all. The home is coming along great!

Hello Hello From South Carolina ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Watching you guys framing your home is like an artist with a canvass and paints, beautiful
I'm so glad your starting on the home.❤❤❤❤❤❤
You guy's are the best to watch.1😍🥰🫶🫶🫶🫶

Victory on that interior wall that had the large hole in the bottom plate
Looking really nice guys. You will have your home ready before long.
if you haven't already purchased all your gun nails...consider adding ring shank to the 3-1/4"x.131

Looking forward to watching you all build your new house.

It's defo looking more like a home rather than wood and concrete now, I see Natalie has more confidence and improved with the tools ❤❤
Thank you for taking us along on your journey/dream watching the whole family building together is amazing
Love watching your channel every Sunday
As usual another GREAT FAMILY video, is there a different way to insulate a California corner
A California corner actually makes it easier to get insulation in behind it. Thanks 🙂
and with Great music your videos gonna be a nice blue ray
I have learned that comments help. Yet I probably took more from this episode than I could give so this comment is for the Algorithm. Keep up the great work. Love seeing the kids involved. what a great opportunity and learning experience for them.
Why did you put foam underlayment on outside walls but not the interior walls? Have enjoyed watching you build this homestead.
That is a sill gasket, and it keeps drafts and critters out of the home. It's not really needed on the interior walls. Thanks 🙂
Your experience matches mine regarding female and male cats. All the females I've had have been terrific mousers in comparison.
Great idea to use the Crescent Wrench to true up the wall studs. Those short walls with all the doors take a lot of time .... Great job over all.
What a great team. Framing away.
Female cats are better hunters😊. The house looks great ! 🎉Thank you for the video, hace a nice week!
I am so super excited for your family ❤❤❤ love your videos
I'm so glad you're using the sq. washers I see so many people use reg. Washer and some don't at all. Personally I would use flat steel when I can
You’re guys are awesome. I wish you could get some extra help to the house closed in before your winter/ snow starts. If I lived in USA I’d come and help even if it was to fetch and carry. Howe I’m over 6000miles away Keep going God bless
Look at the kids😊😊😊
y'all are getting fancy with the time lapse :)
Mouse deterrent; cornmeal mixed with baking soda. Works great! It won’t hurt. Your animals!
Team work at it's best awesome job
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing
Youse better get busy on the new bb court or the kids will be mad when you frame it, LOL!
