Don’t feel bad. Everyone gets skunked at some point. Wintertime fishing for big fish is hard. Keep it up and you’ll get into some monsters. Please consider wearing some kind of pfd when fishing alone in the winter. If for some reason you fall overboard, you stand a much better chance of survival wearing one.
True, it’s a grind but it always makes me enjoy hot weather fishing much more. I like that the gar, sharks, etc stop biting so im itching to catch them come spring time. And will do, I actually just ordered one because my previous one was rendered useless as it was cheap and took a beating from weather overtime Lol. Thanks
@ bet you the tiger was in Florida and of course Florida is different from here in Texas and Louisiana no one runs here for winter shark fishing like tiger dusky hammers and great whites like they do Florida they’re water is warmer even in winter
@@reelingwithrobby yeah there’s one species of shark I have a feeling Louisiana has a bunch of due to the giant open marshes to the ocean and that’s lemon sharks but people don’t fish it a lot, I expect shark fishing from you next year

Brackish
@@reelingwithrobby ohh makes sense thx
No problem!
from 70-75 degree water you get sand bar sharks your probably too late to shark maybe baby sandbar
anything under 70 basically no sharks
I caught my first and only tiger shark in 45 degree weather, if you leave a bait out long enough something will bite lol

@ true, we also have way less species of sharks from water salinity, unless you’re offshore
