- In this video I am breaking my second box of 2018-19 Panini Select Basketball FOTL! Each box comes with 3 auto or mem cards. There are 12 packs per box, each with 5 cards. These special FOTL boxes came a few days early, released at the $120 SRP, and guarantee one neon orange pulsar parallel numbered to 13!

Awesome box and the Tie-Dye are great looking cards! I know Prizm is King but watch out, Select has more color and the cards look great, it is definitely better than it has been in the past. We pulled at least one good card out of 3 boxes that we opened of regular Select. We have more coming as well, take care and nice job as always.

bolognious I think you need to adjust your criteria for a good / great pull. Getting anything worth over $50 is always good especially since most boxes aren’t even close the that amount in value. Gotta appreciate nice stuff

That’s a nice Bagley! The product looks nice, but in the 2 boxes I got, I pulled 2 JJ Barea autos unfortunately. Still a nice product though and keep up the great work!

Huge fan of Select as far as the cards themselves..i love the color and die cuts. I opened 5 FOTL boxes..did ok but nothing huge..pulled a total of 8 Lukas but not big ones..4 base concourse, 1 premier..1 premier silver, i courtside and a Sparks Jersey. Best pulls were a Knox Orange Courtside Pulsar, Ayton Jersey/Auto to 99, and a Giannis Zebra Concourse. My only gripe with Select is the overabundance of junk mem cards and I'm talking about the player selection. Mem cards in general are near worthless even for stars but most of the "hits" are mem cards of the likes of Allen Crabbe, Jeremy Lamb, Raymond Felton etc. Guys who you wouldn't want autos of much less mem cards of.
Yea select is pretty weak hits wise imo. The color is cool tho so I always rip a couple boxes
crazy looking back how a Luka base rookie is the most valuable card
Luka got more triple doubles than amount of Games Bagley played last season.... tragic

I think I’m to strict on judging boxes. If it was my box I would be little upset. I don’t collect Bagley or any big hits you pulled. I was not happy with my 2 boxes, one box I pulled 2 rookie jersey autos an 1 mem an 2nd box I pulled 1 rookie jersey auto an 1 vet jersey auto an 1 mem. Both boxes had 2 autos. An I hit a gold checkerboard/10 Rajon Rondo an 2nd box I hit Curry /5. I was happy with the Curry. My autos were Lonnie Walker, Grayson Allen, Kevin Huerter, joe Dumars. My mems were Paul milsap game worn an Devontae Graham rc player worn. All of them are numbered /99 to /199 except Grayson Allen. I wasn’t very thrilled with my boxes. Capital P said that if the number under the box flap ends in 7 you got a good box meaning 2 autos an 1 mem wich both of mine ended in 7. If it ends with 8 you get 1 auto 2 mems or box is just average. Don’t know how true it is but it was on point with my boxes.
I have lived in Ohio for 37 years. I am a big Cavs fan an Buckeyes fan. If I don’t pull a Sexton or Kyrie or Lebron I usually consider it a ok box at best. I also collect Dennis Rodman an Patrick ewing since the early 90’s but it’s hard to find product that has them in it. I will always consider Lebron an Kyrie Cavs even though they left. Football is same way I collect 49ers players from 90’s Rice, Montana, Young , TO, etc. other than that I only collect former Buckeyes Zeke, Bosa, Ward etc. I’m sure you understand pulling a good card of one of these players is hard. If I don’t I consider the box a dud. No disrespect by any means at all if I say I wouldn’t be happy with what you pulled, I’m just very strict
I am too. Panini usually under delivers so when buying boxes, I’d have low expectations
I also collect good rookies in general so I’m happy with it

I love Select as a product. The base cards are cool, the inserts are cool, the die-cuts are cool, the parallels are cool. I just think that it's a little too overpriced. I mean a lot of the auto and mem hits are unnumbered or high count and a lot of them are of players who aren't stars. And I mean that's okay. If every product had only low count star hits then those cards wouldn't have value. Variety is good. But at the same time I don't want to pay $150-$200 for a box and likely pull hits of Enes Kanter or JJ Barea ya know lol. I feel like $100-$125 ish is more where the product should be.

Oh I see. Must be the rookie class haha. Are there short print and random very low count cards in this product? I had someone offer to sell me a Donovan Mitchell to /4 that looks like a premier level base parallel but I can't seem to find anything like it anywhere and nothing to /4 is listed on the set checklist

@@PackmanCards It's a little hard to tell from the picture he sent me. It almost looks like a silver parallel. But the normal white background looks like it could have a pink hue
