mimi b Hey, I know I'm not Kendall, but I was thinking maybe I could relieve some of your stress with my own little advice lol. The fact that you're even making straight A's has already put you in a good position to go to any college you want really, as you may or may not realize. I took AP too in my senior year of high school and I had NO idea whatsoever where I wanted to go. As a matter of fact, I just heard a few of my classmates mention they planned on going to this nearby college and applied on a whim 😅
Luckily I had a decent GPA (3.0) and got accepted immediately. But, anyway, when it comes to choosing a college, if you plan to go you need to determine whether you want to apply in or out of state/country. It'll cost more to apply out of your area, but there are plenty of scholarships available, along with financial aid (FAFSA). Once that's been determined, start looking for schools with the major of your choice. If you're not sure what you want to do, just choose something that most closely aligns with your interests (and how much you want to make annually, if that's important to you). If you don't like it, don't panic, you have at least two years to continue being uncertain while you take your core classes.
Lastly, once you have a list of schools, compare their prices and choose whichever most closely aligns with your chosen range. But, just in case, apply to all of them or at least the ones you consider your top 3-5. I'd also recommend trying to get a full ride scholarship (which usually covers tuition and fees, along with room and board), but make sure you know the special quirks, so you're not left trying to pay for things last minute. You should also try to visit the campus before actually applying there; you'd be surprised by the impact this has on people's decisions to attend. And, that's pretty much it 😁 personally, I didn't follow all these steps because, as I mentioned, I just chose a random college and got lucky lol. But, as far as the importance of going to college, that's entirely up to you.
Although you seem to be the type capable of pushing through and doing as needed to get good grades, some people are not like that and that's okay. Even though I got decent grades in high school and was called smart because of that, I really didn't enjoy school at all. College is different from high school though, so although you'll still have to take core classes your first couple or so semesters, it is actually fun to get to dive deeper into whatever topic of interest you fancy. So, don't get stressed out, there are multiple guides out there online, if not at your school, to guide you on how to properly balance transitioning from high school to college 😊 Hope you found my long comment helpful haha

mimi b I'm so glad my comment helped reduce some of your stress! 😁 and ooh, math exams can be tough 😅 but just keep studying and you should do fine! Also, not to bombard you with even more information, but I think it's important you also know a couple more things.
When applying for scholarships, make sure you pay attention to those deadlines. You may be thinking of applying for a scholarship with a deadline close to when you actually will start classes, but scholarships are tricky in that it can take months for them to announce a winner. So, you may need that money now, but not only is it not guaranteed you've won it, you won't even be able to receive it on time! (Real life situation I'm dealing with now 😂). So, to save yourself stress and anxiety, apply MONTHS prior.
Another piece of advice I'd like to give is for you to start searching and applying to colleges using the steps I mentioned before as early as right now and as late as the beginning of Fall 2018. The reason I say this is because you will have to gather information like high school transcripts, medical history, your parent's tax return, etc. Especially if you apply for financial aid. Honestly, there's so much stuff high school doesn't prepare you for when it comes to this process, it's sad 😐 So, just to save you unnecessary stress, I recommend you do everything early, keep in contact with the financial aid office at the school of your choice, and keep copies of important paperwork in case something goes haywire, which it most likely won't, but still. Keep in contact with the people at your college to make sure they know your situation and don't be shy about appearing in front of them or calling them up with multiple questions 😊

No Kendall I totally get how you feel about criticising yourself. I'm also a recent college grad and transitioning has been extremely hard for me as well. However, that feeling of now know that I don't have any major priorities anymore, makes me extremely happy but yet super uncomfortable. Yesterday I literally was like "girl if you want you can go out of town on like a Tuesday lol". All I can say to you is that you can only a step at a time. Improvement is great and it's okay to give yourself a little criticism. We should always strive to better for ourselves.

But, the motivation is barely there 😥 I'm also coming to the conclusion that I'm going to have to postpone my transfer to next year because I ain't got enough scholarships or financial aid 😂 so... but anyway I'm not letting that get me down, no point in crying over what could have been after all.
