every time I have to sing in front of someone I always feel like i’m about to cry 😞 it’s so frustrating because its holding me back from my dream but thank u sm for this video !
I literally cry when about to go on stage. Even though i know nothing bad will happen i just get this pit in my stomach and start feeling sick. And it really sucks because i have a beautiful voice but stage fright holds me back from my dreams🥺
I sang all I ever wanted by Mariah Carey at my school talent show. The beginning of the song was easy to not be shaky because the notes are easy but when I sang the high notes I imagined being alone in my room with my eyes closed. Kinda felt relaxed towards the end.
That last one really hit me. I always assumed people came to see you be perfect, but it makes sense.. just, they want to experience it with you. Really helped me.
I've been dreaming since I was a kid to become a singer. I'm convinced I was born for this. But... I am TERRIFIED of singing in front of people. This has been my biggest phobia for years and now that I ended high school and that I can really start working on my dreams, I'm stuck. I don't know what to do. And I want to overcome this fear, or I'll be sad for the rest of my life. I can't imagine not realizing my dream, I just can't. I've spent all my life dreaming about it and now that I have the possibility to do it, I am paralyzed. Why does it have to be so hard?
I can relate to jumping around...I do jumping jacks before playing guitar and singing. It really helps. I think performers come up with different personal rituals to help calm nerves. It's always cool to hear about the ways artists unnerve themselves.
I literally zoned out until the part that she said "Don't wing it." Then I had flashbacks to my most recent audition when I did wing it and I was like Oop 👌
My problem is that I get extremely shaky legs, and that messes up my stance. It forces me to lock my knees and shift my weight to one leg, because it feels like I'm going to fall at any moment. And it's not anything conscious. I know for a fact that I am one of the best singers in the choir, and even as I am singing the solo, I can hear that my voice still sounds good. I know it sounds good when I sing, but for some goddamn reason, my legs just don't seem to get the message. It messes up my stance and my breathing, and it's so incredibly annoying standing there during my solo, knowing that if I could just get my legs under control, I'd be able to focus on the singing and make my performance a lot better.
Focus on one person in the audience that you know. Tell them to to make a goofy face before hand so you'll smiling when singing. Most of your stage fright will go away instantly
I have the shaky voice. I’ve tried millions of times, it just comes out shaky and I get frustrated and it just goes down hill from there. I’ve literally cried in front of a room full of people. It was my turn to perform, I started to play my intro in my song, then..... frozen. For me it’s debilitating.
this is so helpful, one time during an audition i missed a note and started CRYING DURING MY AUDITION and the music was still splaying and everything!!! ugh i still cringe
I’ve been on stage my whole life dancing, and I love that... but in theatre I’ll try to sing in an audition for a musical and I never can do it. I get up there and feel ok then I just can’t get anything out of my mouth and it’s so frustrating

I’m just scared to sing using my full voice when there are people in the house so I kind of just whisper :(
i’ve been singing in the car with my siblings and my cousins and no matter what they support me and it helps boost my confidence. :)

When I sing, I shake like a leaf, my palms sweat, I’m out of breath and I just lose everything I prepared... 😭
My best way to overcome stage fright in any way is by acting like I’m not scared
