Interesting! I love cendol! It is one of my favourite Malaysian desserts. Thanks very much to Flavours of Asia for telling people who like cendol how to make it!
I love cendol, but the Thai version. It tasted so good especially when I went to Thai Accent with my cousin, a baby boy and his mother and father. It was so nice. I was so pleased about that. :)
I'm Japanese so I don't eat cendol. I eat sushi, sashimi, onigiri, and some Korean food such as kimchi and japchae.
still waiting for Indonesian to make a claim
@@Evy_irissa? Jelas jelas cendol original dari Indonesia
My favorite summer dessert...
What can I substitute for mung bean, and what type coconut you use old or young one
So happy to found your RUclips! Where do you come from? Greetings from Germany,
Pls update us for the rice flour. Bcoz mung bean flour here in ph is too expensive
Thank you for the recipe. Am very keen to try. One question - can I use Hun Kwe flour to make this?
Yes, you can Hun Kwe flour.
Do we need to cook the coconut milk?
can you use a piping bag when you are making the little green things it looks very good!!
+Yenli Oh The paste might be too hot for piping bag. But then I'm not sure cos I've never try it.
See if you can find a shallow aluminum pan or plate with holes in the Asian store. You can probably make one yourself using an aluminum pie pan and punching holes of about 1/2 cm.
How much water to add into the blender together with pandan leaf for blending?
Doesn't matter how much water, as long the total liquid is 750 ml. Here is the recipe link www.seasaltwithfood.com/2014/08/cendol-with-palm-sugar-syrup-and.html
Hi.. thanks for the recipe.. bit confused, is corn flour same with corn starch..? Thank you
use corn starch.
Thanks so much for your reply 😃
I tried the cendol recipe.. and it turned out great.. thanks 🙏🏼
Can u use other alternatives besides mung bean flour?
There's another version with rice flour but I don't have the exact measurements now. I'll try to a make a tutorial soon. Thanks for the comment.
How many inch is your potato riser ?
is it same if i use corn flour only to make cendol ? without adding mung bean flour . tq
I'm afraid the taste and texture will be different.
Flavours Of Asia ok . yes , the texture is different , i have tried it yesterday . btw thankyou !! i'll make the new cendol using the ingredients given 😊😊
how was your cendol?
Flavours Of Asia my cendol seems like frog spawn 😂
I find it hard to press the chendol out through the mold. Is not coming out smoothly. It stick to the mold and when I forced to press it out, it become broken into short and small pieces. What's the problem here? TQ
It shouldn't be hard..maybe the paste was overcooked?
Paste overcooked? How would I differentiate it whether is overcooked?
The paste should be smooth, soft and spreadable.
@@Seasaltwithfood ok i should try this again. Thank you so much.
you blend 10 pandan leaves? is it not to much and make it bitter?
Yes, 10 Pandan leaves...not bitter at all. Try select fresh & softer green leaf. Thanks,
Hi there. How come you don't use lime paste water solution to make this cendol? Isn't without lime past solution will make cendol soft and falls apart in liquid? Please reply. Thank you.
+Lotus Koi You can use lime paste, if you desired. I consumed the "Cendol" within 2 days, so its okay and it will remain solid.
What is the name of that chendol maker please?
This is not a chendol maker...a potato riser. Thanks.
and do you have to use shaved ice?
+Yenli Oh We usually have it with shaved ice. I guess, if you don't hv it, try crush ice instead.
may I know how long can the cendol jelly be kept? few days? a week? Thank you very much.
2 to 3 days in the fridge. Thanks.
Thanks.

Nom!
Yes from dessert in indonesian
Yes, they are similar to Thai, Vietnamese, Singapore recipes too.
Flavours Of Asia ohhh..
AL BENGEXTUBERS Malaysian still did it best though.
Typical Indonesian.. claiming everything..
adibah adammi they can claim whatever the hell they want. It's not like things going to dissappear magically just because they claim it. We will keep eating this and says that "cendol is Malaysian dessert", just to piss off these Indonesians. Lol
Hi. THE coconut milk didn't taste sweet. I tRy with condensed milk. It sweeter than coconut milk.
+lovely princess Try use extra melted palm sugar instead. The condensed milk will alter the taste.
I like to use half almond milk (dr. recommend this as very healthy) and half coconut milk. Try it.
Suppose Suji leaves/daun suji not pandan leaves
We use Pandan leaf for this recipe. Thanks.
The weight lost add was annoying. It's a very long video .keep going for an hour without reaveling the contents.
Sorry for that. I can't control the add.
