Looks to be a very taxing, difficult and at these speeds dangerous race. You need some bollocks to drive this quick along very narrow streets! Not a lot of room for mistakes here!
I remember reading from an Engineer Tech explaining how that Evo X SAWC (Super All Wheel Control) is the best All wheel drive system in the world, followed by SHAWD from Honda, then AWD in Nissan GTR. I screenshot it coz its too long, it was very elaborate and technical. It was also posted in our Evo X group. I have Evo X and Acura with ShAwd and i feel so safe in them. Its been through hard rain and snow. Just amazing systems.
I've got normal lancer and even in this thing the esc is great. Before that I had megane, mazda 626, charisma. Went with lancer after carisma. That thing drove on snow like it's normal dry road lol and lancer is even better. Always felt in mazda and megane like if car gets out of the control they try to kill me while charisma and lancer were always helping me out. I live on a hill and I'm the only one that can crawl to his house, neighbbours mercedes, skoda octavia, renault laguna, volvo and bmw all park on the bottom of the hill next to the road lol. I megane I had to take a sudden violent right turn and then turn back, the car was leaning so much, I barely managed to save it. Hit the oil once in corner with it too, saved it but car worked hard to try to kill me, that back, when it goes... it goes, some rediculus effort is needed to try to save it. In lancer, when I had to violently turn right and then left, same way as megane I couldn't believe how sturdy and how well the car reacted, even applied just right amount of esc, it blew my mind how minimal lean there was and how sturdy car reacted, in megane I was nearly on 2 fucking wheels in same situation and that cars body was twisting and leaning from one side to other violently. Also, love it in this lancer how the back is always under control in all conditions, even in snow, it refuses to slide. Literally if trying to slide it in right corner I need to pull wheel quikcly on left to get back end loose to slide it through the corner and I need to turn off esc to get it sliding. Either that or handbreak, can't even destabilize it otherwise, even in snow. It's only a 2 wheel drive and it's damn impressive, 4 wheel drive with so much more horse power has to be a complete beast lol. After this one is done, hopefully I can get evo X somewhere for some not over the top price.

Have you never watched rallying? This is why anti lag was created to keep turbos spooled when you back off the throttle so you have immediate response getting back on throttle
Maybe i have a pessimistic view on Xs but its nice to see one actually going fast or once, being a mitsu guy in texas the only evo Xs i see are ricemobiles.
I bought mine from San Antonio, and it was done up in a tasteful fashion. I don't know where you are, of course, but I know there are a couple of big tuner shops down in Texas, so that might have a bit to do with it. Or, it might just be confirmation bias, as stock Xs don't stand out from the lower models quite so much, and a heavily modified car will always stand out, so they're the ones you notice.
What's going on with the exhaust on that car? It sounds like an Apache coming in to land every time he lifts off the throttle! Is it just open headers? :-D ... That Lebanese hillclimb looks like an absolute riot, some really great cars and great drivers coming from that event! :-)
@@boost3d831 Yea, the crackly back fire thing is not my scene, I'm a NA guy... Have a look at 3:08 though, you can see exhaust flame at the front... :-)
@@th-pw8pn it's not about sounding cool lol, 100% for performance. If you can have 20psi of boost waiting for you when you get back on the throttle you're going to take off instantly, rather than suffering turbo lag and losing the race
