Yeah, it was Taco Bell when released in theatres, but when they released the DVD versions some had it changed to Pizza Hut, depending on the region. Like here in Australia when don't have Taco Bell so ours was changed to Pizza Hut. I remember watching it on DVD and thinking 'WTF?, I thought Taco Bell won the franchise wars'.
"What the F is the three seashells?!" One of history's greatest mysteries. Edit: You got the Pizza Hut version?! Nice. I'm still partial to Taco Bell victory of the Franchise Wars.
Here are a couple fun facts about this movie. First, the Arnold Presidential Library bit was Stalone's friendly jab at Arnald Ala, the I married Rambo jab in True Lies. In the part where John Spartan talks about his fears over what his daughter would think of him having grown up in this world, Huckly says she could look her up for him, and John says no. Initially, when they head into the sewers, John and the group are supposed to run into his daughter; it turns out she had more of her dad in her than he had initially thought. They even filmed some of those scenes, but during the last post-production edits, they were cut out for time and "focus." The only shots with John Spartan's daughter that made it to the theatrical release is when John talks to Edgar in the sewer. There is a woman standing near John, and when Simon and his gang fire on John, he grabs the table, pushes the woman out of the way, and is then seen shielding her with his body. That Is John's Daughter. They never actually came up with how the three sea shells are supposed to work. The filmmakers wanted to add some crazy way for how this ultra-sterilized society would handle pooping and felt it was just funnier to never explain how they are supposed to work. Great Reaction as always, Jl, and Great work on the video Blank. Demolition Man is one of my favorite Cult Classics of the 90s that was ahead of its time in many ways, and it's kinda scary how much our real world is starting to look like the one in the film. Can't wait for your next Reaction and wish you all well, EOM Family.
"Chief, you can take this job, and you can shovel it." "Take this job... and shovel it." "Yeah?" "Close enough." Fun Fact: Sandra Bullock replaced Lori Petty after a few days filming. Petty left due to creative differences. Dye Job Fact: Wesley Snipes hated his blond dye job, and shaved his head as soon as filming was complete. After this movie's release, professional NBA player Dennis Rodman began dying his hair different colors, a look that was inspired by Simon Phoenix. Martial Arts Enthusiast Fact: Wesley Snipes' kicks and punches sometimes look lurchy and awkward. Snipes is an accomplished black belt in real life, and his kicks and punches were so fast that they blurred on-camera. Hence the producers asked him to slow them down.
I remember after this movie coming out and then Rodman had bleached his hair just like Phoenix. I figured it was taken from the movie, haha. I didn't know about Petty though. Usually I feel that the replacement in these kind of stories did the best and the right decision was made but I really can see Petty doing the movie just as well.

I’m kinda surprised this is the first time he’s seen this movie. Snipes is such an amazing bad guy, more people/writers need to make characters like him.
I saw U.S. Marshalls not long ago. Wesley Snipes is great. Someone should have tried to get him the role of the Joker. Watching Simon Phoenix makes me wonder how great that could have been.
This is one of the weirdest and funniest action movies ever made. And I'm still waiting for someone to tell me how to use those damn seashells! Grabbing popcorn and cat - she loves Wesley Snipes :)
I may be wrong but I believe the Taco Bell was cut out and replaced with Pizza Hut for the European version because they didn't have any Taco Bells at the time.

One of my absolute favorites! With 3 huge actors playing front and center you’d think there’s be a hard time keeping it balanced. And although, let’s face it, Wesley stole the show, it was still very balanced and worked. Taco Bell is an integral part of Demolition Man's legacy in the United States, but in European markets, it was replaced by Pizza Hut. Both companies were owned at the time by PepsiCo. Conventional wisdom holds that Pizza Hut became the Franchise Wars winner in Europe because the company had a greater international presence there. References to Pizza Hut were added to Demolition Man in post-production, including everything from logos to dubbed-over dialogue. Ah man, you cut out one of the best parts. Phoenix to Cacto: “Hey man, you can’t take away people’s right to be assholes.” *Long pause* Phoenix: “That’s who you remind me of…an evil Mr. Rogers…” You just know a dude is bad when even the psychotic killer of the movie says something about him that makes the audience cheer for the killer.

Sandra Bullock is an a beautiful woman. But I notice that the makeup on her in this film makes her look unbelievably beautiful. It’s like Cocteau wanted young people to look damn near perfect.

Awesome Movie and Work Bro, Thanks 👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
Ah man, you cut out one of the best parts.
Phoenix to Cacto: “Hey man, you can’t take away people’s right to be assholes.”
*Long pause*
Phoenix: “That’s who you remind me of…an evil Mr. Rogers…”
You just know a dude is bad when even the psychotic killer of the movie says something about him that makes the audience cheer for the killer.
Yo man, there's a really lovely innocence, genuine and honest vibes about you dude! Great content! Respect from the UK!
Be well! Enjoy-joy your reactions JL
Wesley is so bad ass in this movie its amazing..So precise, deadly its so good..love your reaction..
I miss when they would make movies like this that were just crazy fun.
😂😂 "He's about to duck up they're plumbing" is the best line I heard in a while...lol. I'd said "He's about to block they're facilities " when I see it.. "Drop more than the kids off at the pool." " Extented family and they're mates "...lol
God that Pizza Hut dub is so weird
Sandra Bullock is an a beautiful woman. But I notice that the makeup on her in this film makes her look unbelievably beautiful.
It’s like Cocteau wanted young people to look damn near perfect.
mmmm ratburgers
Hey gents! I’m sorry I missed the premiere as I was down for the count with a migraine. Just woke up at 3:20am and the first thing I said was, “Shit, I missed JL.” I will definitely be watching this today when I wake up without the migraine. Catch ya soon!
Damn
It’ll be 3am here in Greece
(Currently on vacation). If I didn’t have busy shit to do tomorrow I’d stay up
Will have to catch it tomorrow night
The building blown up in the beginning was the old Belknap hardware building in downtown Louisville. It’s the Yum center now.
I love that comment "you probably can't even fart in the future" lmfao your probably right 😂😂😂
"you have been fined one credit for violation of the fowl smell morality"... Lol
Really speaks to modern society. It was ahead of its time.
J: "AND THEY MADE HIM A GRANDMA?!?" 🤣🤣🤣 My dude... Always callin it like he see it, boiii..😉😁🧥👩🏻🦳🧶
Your dog is so adorable
You said it “Wesley nice wit it” his fight scenes were always flawless
DAMN FUN FLICK
WHERE THE HELL YOU HEAR PIZZA HUT? OHH, THANX FOR THE EXPLANATION SIR. HEARD THEY CHANGED IT IN OVERSEAS VERSIONS. IDK? MORE RELATABLE AROUND THE GLOBE.
BE WELL JOHN SPARTAN
Why are you yelling?
Omg when Simon said "My boggle?" All i could hear was him as Ms Noxema Jackson 😂🤣
I thought I was suffering from some serious Mandela effect BS when I heard Pizza Hut instead of Taco Bell so I'm glad for the global distribution explanation. I loved when J said "Siri is gonna get your ass whupped". I also loved how Drogo was sleeping in the first half of the video, so friggin adorable! Excellent reaction and editing, this movie definitely grew on me how great it is. God bless you guys with excellence!
The pizza hut thing is bothering me. It's taco bell not pizza hut.
"Talkin" bout Bon Appétit.. Ill whoop yo ass!" That might just be the funniest line Ive ever heard on this channel!! Hahaha
All time fav, lets get into it !
The Pizza Hut / Taco Bell thing was so interesting. Thanks for including that.
WTF why did that say Pizza Hut? It's supposed to be Taco Bell......
Seriously, they dubbed it, but it's not a swear word....
(Apparently this was done for the European release, since they don't have Taco Bells. Where the hell you get your movies from? lol)
I see you've got the future Super Bowl champions up on your wall. Go Ravens!!
This movie is a fun wild ride!
It even pokes fun at the PC Culture and Wokeness, which is something that is happening right now.
I think pc culture and wokeness learned how to be from watching this movie
The 3 sea shells are referenced in other things too. If you play Cyberpunk 2077, the bathrooms have 3 sea shells.
