I’m all about air tools. The money you save on very expensive batteries that you’ll have to replace down the road. They are also have more power. There is a place for electric tools of course. When I used to work on cars, it was all air. Where I work now at a food factory, I use mostly electric. Though I do use some air.

A couple small nuts/ bolts = electric. Working all day in the garage= air tools for sure

Air tools are great for working on stuff at the house. I invested in the 10 gallon Fortress compressor and the Earthquake 3/8 air ratchet and couldn't be happier with it, having it about 6 months. I don't run big impact guns and air tools that require more than 4.3 cfm. It really is a great setup and will do just about anything short of heavy equipment repair for me. The 3/8 air ratchet is awesome. It actually surprised me with its torque. The only other things i need to get soon are an air hammer, a hydraulic press for bearing swaps, a large sonic cleaner, and a small welder. In the Maddox brand, i have a ball joint press kit, a wheel bearing press kit, and i plan to keep expanding on those as the ITC prices rotate around. Honestly, i can think of a bunch more things that are worth a million dollars to you when you need it and don't have it.

I've been looking at those 3/8 air impacts also. Good to hear some real world feedback. Thanks!

Fair point. They also use electric tools a lot in the medical field.

There are 3 parts store within a block of our shop, you will waste more time searching thru a mess of bits and bobs, then going next door and getting a new bolt, and charging it to the customer like ya should
