Lovely car..the Twin spark is very underrated they are brilliant fun
Great cars. Timeless design. A true modern classic for sure.
I recently got one of these, Built in 1996,It's a bit of a fixer upper, Some small patches of clear coat need addressing,The badges need changing and a mark on the hood needs sorting,Interior has black leather seats and ,According to the forums, optional upon car order wooden trim around the center console and switches, this is coming away which is ok as I don't like it and would like red leather or faux leather,Electric sunroof which I'm told is rare and a C.D.Changer in the boot,Everything works well.
Feels like driving a go-kart but it is lots of fun.
Nice car, I've had 3, a 2.0 T-Spark I bought nearly new in about 2000, a 3.0 V6 I bought in about 2008 and currently have a 1999 2.0 T-Spark I've owned for over a decade. I think they still look great even 25 years later. Mine is a stock car, Alfa Red, black momo and the 16" wheels.
33 year old design. Enrico Fumia claims the final design was already locked in in1988. And even from production years it is about 29 years! Timeless design for sure. I have a V6 TB that I love dearly😊
Mine was odd in that it had 15 inch 5 stud wheels. As used in the Lancia Stratos.
@@MENSA.lady2 They all have 5 wheel bolts/studs?
But mine were 15 inch. not 16.@@roasthunter
@@MENSA.lady2 I think the manual does refer to a 15" option, did you buy it brand new? Maybe they were retro fitted
Smile it brings me every time I get into mine is infectious
mine is on 154000 same paint peel , kept outside and a daily still huge fun to drive ,and never failed to start in 6 years
Sounds great, I'm considering wrapping it.
cool only running 1 box in the exsaust with a raggazone tail pipe , even the small post cat box has been deleated it howels

Love to see your car, the engine was superior. I am looking forward to take my 1998 spider 2.0 out on the road in may. From late september to 1. Of may he sleep in a warm garage. have a great weekend.
Snap! Same spec with the Aero Pack. 86k miles, black leather, owned from new in September '02.
Lovely send us a pic!
Getting my t-spark back on the road next week : ) ...Looking to upgrade the headlights. Any recommendations as Classic Car LEDs are sold out currently... Merci!
Have to agree, my T Spark was a lot more usable and enjoyable to drive, for the noise that the Busso lovers want, just fit a better exhaust.
Where can I get that tshirt?
Nice engine and nice mats 😂. Sounds lovely for a twin spark, mine is running a standard exhaust, is it a standard system with a box removed on yours or a stainless one with one less box??
It has one of the back boxes removed when I fitted the new exhaust at the back. Plus the centre box is slowly disintegrating so sounds a little beefier than it should!
@@alfashowroom I may have to look for somewhere to make up a pipe to delete a back box. I quite like the idea of keeping the standard tail pipe. 😃
Best looking 2 litre from 2002? Gtv 2.0 v6
I moved on to the Guilietta 5+ years ago, but would be interested in what you do about the camshaft variator because they are about £250 now and always need replacing. They were £110 about 10 years ago. Do you use the repair kits?
i've changed the variator on mine, it's not a massive issue as the noise it makes when it's not in good condition is only on start up.
@@alfashowroom yeah if I remember they usually need doing everytime the cambelt is done 30k or 3 years.
That along with high road tax now puts me off getting a TS powered toy , although I'd love to get another.
There is a repair kit available. I expect most of these cars are doing low mileage now so won't need changing that often as they wear with use.
What Exhaust system have you fitted? Sound fabulous 😍😍
Its just a delete of the final rear box to the tailpipe, i bought it from a guy at a show, don't think it has a name, i'll see if i can post a picture of it.
Love it .... but it ain"t as pretty as the Busso
To be a real petrol head you need a pre Fiat takeover Alfa. i.e. a model 75 (Milano in the USA) or earlier. modern ones, no thanks. My brother had a 164 and I have driven it. Better than I expected but I won't be buying one..
I own a '75 Giulia Nuova and a '01 GTV TS. While they're totally different beasts, I would not call someone out just because his car is 'post-Fiat-takeover'. Passion is what makes a 'real petrol head', not the car he/she drives. Alfa added their own flavor to the Fiat basis, but DOHC, 16v, twin spark technology is not to be found on Fiats...
Great cars got a red gtv 3.2 Love it to bits great vid
