Alfa Romeo 156 V6 Exhaust
The 156 2.5 V6 went to the home of Wizard Exhausts, AutoLusso Penrith for a replacement set of front pipes.
The car still had the original pipes on and had developed a hole leading to a blow which the new exhaust system has sorted.
Dan and Ben did an excellent job and I'd recommend them highly if you're looking for a solution for your Alfa Romeo.

We attended this event which was organised by the 916 register of the Alfa Romeo Owners club, thanks to Dave and Gary for organising. Special thanks also needs to go to Derek & Mary Lopez who hosted us at their fabulous home for the day and gave the event a wonderfully relaxed and comfortable environment for all our cars. Shout out also to Johnno from the Golden Pheasant Etton, who reserved the...
Welcome stop off at Autopolis Luxembourg

After a great drive in the morning we broke up the days driving with a visit to Autopolis, and Alfa Romeo dealer in Luxembourg. We saw some Alfa's as you'd expect but we didn't expect to see three amazing old Lancias in the showroom too.
Visit to the Ferrari Museum

On the Alfa Romeo 916 Italy road, Dave and I took advantage of a free day and drove down to the Ferrari Museum in Marenello. There weren't as many cars as we'd expected, but we each found something we really liked. Tip if you're planning a visit, there are simulators which you can get into and drive the latest F1 car, however, you don't get to know about it until you're nearly through the museu...

love the exhaust sound and personally i like the roll hoops. i think that add to the sporty look.
Fiat Ritmo Abarth 130 TC very nice 🔝🔝🔝👏🏻👏👏🏻👋🖐
these are beautiful fun cars ... i have had two, the first dark blue with the same gorgeous tan interior ... and the second one black interior with silver exterior. it is no exaggeration to say that at no time in all the time i owned them both did i walk to the car without it exciting me and at no time did i switch the ignition on without a sense of thrill. i've been dithering about getting a 3rd as have had several years of needing an estate bmw (i know i knoooowwww!!!) so now it's time for another. (dog died ...) have been considering the spider (not to replace the dog, the convertible!) but for an everyday car will get the gtv. i would never get one without the tail spoiler. sets the whole balance of the car aesthetically.
Glad to know Dan is still active. Did you watch the video of Dan's old 3.0 which had the equal length pipes? Amazing sound.
@@155stw I'll have to check it out.
Quality exhausts but got very pricey in last few years
nice vid on a day my 156 passed its mot with no advisoris
I have the same spec (v6 spider, silver over red), such a fun and under appreciated/rated car. Yours looks great. I'm more of a teledials kind of guy and prefer the spider without the roll bars, but each to their own - I think your wheels do look good though and suit the spider. My spider is currently with the mechnaic getting a Single Mass Flywheel, 3.2 GTA clutch, Quaife and front end suspension rebuild so I cant wait to get it back and take it for a decent drive and see the difference. Your video is making me miss my spider even more!
mint condition!
well done, nice things, not my colour but still lovely to see them being preserved
credit to the lad with the white uno,.. stunning - quite jealous
You're one of the first folks who's pointed out that a 'sporty' exhaust is actually not a good thing for the Busso V6, since the sound you really want to hear is from the engine itself - the mechanical sounds emitted by that special V6. I have a GTV6, and pulled off the ANSA exhaust the PO put on, and replaced it with the stock exhaust. Now, the music is all there to enjoy!
@@joeelwell6161 “Thanks for noting! Yes, it’s a shame but by the same token the Wizard is a delicious sound.”
One of my favourite Italian cars. Looks ace
Lovely that.
The Spider is still so beautiful. What a lovely sound .
You've done a great job with the car mate since I saw it at Beryl's Café. That powder coating really sets the wheels off nicely against the bodywork. Wizard sounds great. Enough to turn heads but not at all offensive. One of the greatest engines ever created deserves to be heard after all. For me, silver/grey for the fuel rail. It's actually a very prominent part and I think black would be too heavy on the eye. Those rocker covers and trumpets are the stars of the show. Superb 916 and a first class watch. Well done chaps.
Love the car it’s a beauty. Just throwing my two pence in I’m not a roll hoops fan and a bit of a purist on aesthetic things. Speaking of which, maybe I’m alone but I like the character of the single oval shaped stock exhaust over the twin pipes. No idea if returning to the original tip would keep the enhanced exhaust note but toned down a touch - would that work? I’m with you on the wheels though, I’m not crazy about teledials and those GT alloys really suit the car so good shout. Cheers (I drive a 2.0 GTV with no mods)
Cracking car 👍
Beautiful, LSD is a game changer, I own one with (Quaife) & had at the same time one without and the drive/handling with an LSD is amazing, feels like the front is on rails in the lanes Also consider a short shifter for the gears if you dont already have one fitted (Totallyalfa/EbSpares) makes the gear changes allot crisper. Alfa Clutch?, there were some issues some tme back with batches of 3.2 (Valeo i believe) clutches slipping, was enough of a worry for me to send mine back to Alfa workshop amd switch to an Alfa one (might add the clutch/Skinned flywheel & Quaife LSRD are still all on the shelf im the garage).the car post resto was sold on.. expensive spares LOL.
Great video and yes it sounds great both. I like the little mention too 😊 I will have to get you to video mine to compare the sound at some point. Difficult to tell fully how it sounds from the road side while I'm behind the wheel.
@@darrencareless338 we'd love to have your car on the channel.
Beautiful spider, i have a 3.0 litre coupe with alfa jetfins which suit the car perfectly, but will admit to having a soft spot for teledials, am undecided on the wizard exhaust, yours does not sound as loud as others i have heard....does it have a middle silencer? great video, love your content.
@@g4zzauk It’s a single silencer and standard Wizard set up as far as I know. Others are quad pipes that make it sound louder and some owners replace the down pipes and delete the cat which makes it louder. Thanks for your comments about the content.
Rims suit the spider perfectly. Multi spoke work well with the side profile of the 916. Teledials are no no on a GTV or spider IMO. What type of wizard system do you have as you can get the OEM+ version which is a bit more mute but still has that unique wizard sound. I’ve just done up a t TS spider in silver and really enjoying it. Really surprised how nimble it is on the b roads. Great car and a bargain for £4000😲.
@@AlfaGTA156 Glad you like the GT multispokes too! It’s standard cat back set-up I think and sounds the same as other V6s I’ve heard it on.
Hello, what is the function of the black reinforcements installed near the hood hinges?

Nice👍👍
Some wonderful Spiders there - but I am biased having owned my Mk1 Proteo Red TwinSpark since 2002 😃
Road trip. Lake District, North Wales or, Cornwall!!
If Paul (1.45 in to the video) is watching, where did you get the boot rack? I hunt high and low but would love to hear from someone who has a good one which fits.
Wish we could have been there in the little Spider. Way down in Cornwall. A trip planned soon to Somerset. Cheap fun and, what a fun car to drive!
Trash cars!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder , horses for courses and all that . I like them but reliability is a problem i suppose .
@@gazzertrn Exactly!
Very interesting 👍🏻
I really love Fumia designs. Yes, all Iconic. I share his feelings about modern Alfas having lost their way, and wish it were not so. Alfa should get him involved in the future of the brand.
I had two . One grey , one green . What a fast little car 🚗 The memory’s of racing other cars . They couldn’t believe how fast this was 😂😂
grazie, grazie, grazie. mi sei stato molto utile. grazie!
Brilliant! I will watch the others. I've got a playlist of trips (not gone abroad yet) I've made with other Alfa Romeo GT owners!
Love it .... but it ain"t as pretty as the Busso
with every post of this trip i have regretted not going with the Zoes myself :(. Maybe the next one.
Great to see your collection of Zoe Yellow Spiders!!!
What a great interview with the legendary Enrico Fumia, excellent questions which Enrico answered so articulately and shine a light on his fabulous 916 Spider design. I have owned a 1998 phase-1 Spider since 2002 which to my eye looks fabulous from all angles. Already an Alfa fan, I had loved the Spider since its inception in 95/96 and always wanted to own one, so it was a dream for me when I bought it back in '02. Enjoyed this interview so much I immediately rewatched it - just wish it was double the time 😃. Great work and thank you for posting!!! And best regards to Enrico if he sees this 😀👋👍🖐
No no , say it. Tha Alfa's of today are UGLY!
I saw this car on the parking befere AR museum last week :)
What a race machine😍
Wow thats a Nice car 🔥
looking forward to watching more episodes!
Hope you have a fantastic trip - sounds epic !
Heading to italy in the best cars on the planet us alfisti's stick together
Awesome cars . I had a mk1 E reg in red and a mk1 face lift F reg in silver . The earlier car seemed to have more kick to it . Both standard in power . 30mm lowering was a must on them . Happy days ripping around in the turbo ie .
I had one of these twenty years ago. A fantastic car, terrific induction noise, fast rack, stuck to the road like glue. Great to see this one being loved and looked after.
Hi Pep , fellow Peterborian here ! I had my Nero black 916 phase 2 spider for 5 years as a weekend jolly . Previous owner had it for 8 years and spent a fortune , so I reaped the benefit . It had a few niggles but nothing major until driving enthusiastically I sort of felt the engine 'wobble' . Booked it into my local garage in Woodston , on the ramp , and one of the bolts in the subframe had sheared off . It seems it had happened before because the wrong type bolt was used . Once fixed , it then started overheating - the fan would not kick in . As the road tax and insurance were due i decided to sell it . I paid £2995 for it and sold it for £2395 with known faults . The black lacquer was starting to peel and the bonnet was discoloured due to the overheating . The rear brake lights would also stick 'on' ! I don't miss it as I can always buy another - prices still low . Yours looks great .
I recently got one of these, Built in 1996,It's a bit of a fixer upper, Some small patches of clear coat need addressing,The badges need changing and a mark on the hood needs sorting,Interior has black leather seats and ,According to the forums, optional upon car order wooden trim around the center console and switches, this is coming away which is ok as I don't like it and would like red leather or faux leather,Electric sunroof which I'm told is rare and a C.D.Changer in the boot,Everything works well. Feels like driving a go-kart but it is lots of fun.
Would be great to know more about that hardtop!
Great job on the restoration
