I lost my mom to suicide when I was 13 & it ripped my heart apart. Till this day I cry almost every time I talk about her, I always think about what she would’ve been like now. I'm forever grateful that Tamar's suicide attempt was unsuccessful. God still has more work for her to do. I had the pleasure of meeting her back in 2015 at the Steve Harvey hoodie awards in ATL she's a very sweet Lady. Us as Black Men/Women need to be more vocal about how we feel I'm all for normalizing therapy. There are so many people with mental illness problem and some people live in soundly who have bipolar disorder or they may have any psychological disorder. TV is not the problem or hiding yourself in a room. It is about telling your story with whomever will listen

I was not one of them. I loved life so much that I couldn't even relate to what they were experiencing. Now as an adult? I must say those people are still!! (after all these years!!!) "battling with" their demon of DEPRESSION! So, yes, I can definitely see that some people suffer from this affliction more than others do. THANKFULLY we have newer and better treatments that are helpful and life saving for some. Think of those dark days of the past when suicide was the only option for people who could find no help or relief. My heart really goes out to those people, for sure. My advice for anyone who has ever been there? SEEK HELP because effective treatments are now available.

Some of these comments are are absolutely fowl. I’m glad that a lot of the people here haven’t gone through mental battles that severe, but at the same time, there’s a level of respect and dignity you should hold yourself to when it comes to addressing certain topics surrounding someone who’s recently suffered. The fact that people feel she “blames TV for her own problems” isn’t something that needs to be mentioned here. The vocal point of discussion is the current attempt she survived from, and that has nothing do with her actions that you feel she isn’t “owning up to”.

Healing will not come from TV shows, cameras, or talk shows though. Take a long break and find yourself and do it without media. I felt bad for her at beginning but this is the same cycle, crying and telling your business to the world. Work on yourself , your home and please stay off TV for a while bc this is not healthy or helping. Blessings
There are so many people with mental illness problem and some people live in soundly who have bipolar disorder or they may have any psychological disorder. TV is not the problem or hiding yourself in a room. It is about telling your story with whomever will listen

People like you are the reason why there’s such a negative stigma surrounding mental illness. So much, that it’s still taboo and swept under the rug. The struggle of mental illness NEEDS to be spoken about more, and publicly (for those who are strong enough to do so). People who suffer in silence need to see that they’re not the only ones who are going through this. They need to know that even those with money, the best of resources and public figures suffer from the struggles of mental illness. Contrary to what you and many may believe .. speaking out may actually also HELP with the healing process. It may help those struggling to feel more comfortable with their issues; acknowledging, accepting & healing. ✨ period! - So please don’t judge others for speaking out about it, nor the way they decide to go about their healing process.

Surely her childhood trauma is something deep that she needs to tackle, but you can’t sit here blindly dismissing what she’s describing as her present anguish. Nooooope boo there’s a comedian named cookie that was a friend of loni love confirmed that she had a conversation with loni stating that she was gonna get her fired from the show cause Tamar at the time was the most popular one of all and loni was jealous of her personality... loni sent a bunch of letters to executives to get Tamar fired and there are sources that confirmed this as well... that’s why the other Og ladies of the real never said anything about it cause they had nothin to do with it but the one that wants to claim her innocence is the one that talks the most, Loni!!!

Tamar is not really crying and Taraji is gullible and has no clue she is dealing with a narcissist who plays victim well. While Tamar's abuse in childhood was real it has caused her real damage emotionally and she has developed NPD because of it which NOBODY talks about. The problem is NPD causes individuals to be emotionally abusive to others. They lie, manipulate and never TRULY take responsibility for their actions.

Absolutely. It sounds like someone was convincing her that she wasn't being a good Mom. Identify and eliminate the "toxic" people from your life? And your whole life suddenly seems to feel good again.
Hate to say it but it's the illness. she doesn't necessarily have to be around anybody negative and the illness will have her thinking the same exact way trust me I know I suffer from it myself but I've never been suicidal but the thoughts have always been there. she must get the help she needs or continue getting the help that she needs because it's help out there and it works.

@@thepenagerfamilyvideo1918 Seriously, you are not alone. I remember as a child having a couple of friends (but not many) who were afflicted with a very deep and profound depression. I was not one of them. I loved life so much that I couldn't even relate to what they were experiencing. Now as an adult? I must say those people are still!! (after all these years!!!) "battling with" their demon of DEPRESSION! So, yes, I can definitely see that some people suffer from this affliction more than others do. THANKFULLY we have newer and better treatments that are helpful and life saving for some. Think of those dark days of the past when suicide was the only option for people who could find no help or relief. My heart really goes out to those people, for sure. My advice for anyone who has ever been there? SEEK HELP because effective treatments are now available.

As cruel as it sounds, I’m beginning to think she “attempted” to take her life for attention because it wasn’t even a full 5 months before she began the media rounds discussing her “suicide attempt” and her drama with her ex boyfriend. HOW does someone recover that quickly from a SUICIDE ATTEMPT and go RIGHT BACK to business as usual? This woman doesn’t seem to have changed. It's irresponsible to have her on a show this soon. She is programmed to act and it's too soon for her to be reprogrammed to be completely real and go on a show and be really real. Hope she finds true peace and gets divine instructions. If not, I forsee another episode. I have been praying for her regarding suicide prior to her attempt. It was obvious that she was on the edge. How do I know....because Ive been there and gift of discernment.
I dont think exploiting her is their agenda well I hope not but if anything I think their reason is to get the message out about mental illness and mental well being especially with the state of the world alot of ppl are losing jobs homes etc..and are spiraling down that thought of suicide and lets not forget there are forms of mental illness that aren't so visible such as depression so if thats their reason to gain awareness to it especially in the black community where we tend to over look mental illness and therapy then iam in support of that

I suffer from depression and bipolar. Iam taking meds. Hard to have solid relationships. I have two sons but we don't get alone. Iam praying my life gets better. I don't want to kill myself cause that is a sin. also I no it would hurt my best friend and son's. Take care people out there.
Some of these comments are are absolutely fowl. I’m glad that a lot of the people here haven’t gone through mental battles that severe, but at the same time, there’s a level of respect and dignity you should hold yourself to when it comes to addressing certain topics surrounding someone who’s recently suffered. The fact that people feel she “blames TV for her own problems” isn’t something that needs to be mentioned here. The vocal point of discussion is the current attempt she survived from, and that has nothing do with her actions that you feel she isn’t “owning up to”.
Has she ever been an inpatient to work on her emotional issues. It may be better for her and son to live their lives outside of the public eye.
