I’ve been using the xt5 for exactly 2 years and I haven’t run into any issues with quality or reliability. I also hadn’t any problems with the xt3 before I upgraded.
I came from the Sony a7ii and felt the same about the plastic toy camera feeling with the XT-5. Anyway, I’ll stay with it also because of the much weight aspects-the Sony with a sigma 24-70 was too heavy for me personally. Much better with the XT-5 and the 16-50 Kit, half the weight. I’m going to Lisbon in summer, for the 3rd time .. 😊 greetings from Germany and thanks for your thoughts on the camera
For photo & video, especially something like a podcast, you'll have little to no issues. I do sometimes experience mis-socusing/slow focusing in low light, with faster moving subjects (e.g. street photography).
I came from an XH1 then to an XH2s earlier this year. The XH2s was a great camera, but there was a little part of me that could not “feel” the camera. 2 months ago I switched to the XT5 and immediately fell in love with it. I found myself shooting more with it and for some reasons, more creative. Also the IBIS of this camera is insane. I did a few video clips for a social media influencer and was following her around with this camera and the 16-55 2.8 lens. The IBIS was really good. From experience, it is even better than what I had with the XH2s. Also the AFC tracking is really amazing. I’d probably use this camera for the next 3-5 years.
@@lwwells I owned the X-T4 and have the X-T5. The X-T5 is slightly lighter and more capable, but the dials do feel worse quality. I think the body itself might too. Having said that, I've not heard anyone having problems with them. And I know there are all kinds of reasons for different feel in materials, such as potentially them trying to use more sustainable ones.

I am a Canon R5c owner and love my camera..
Are you from NYC?
one of the rare camera that support -10 degree usage since x-t4, this body is well thought out
It really is a great camera. Excellent review and video. What lens are you using with this?
New apartment looks FIRE
Was a nice shooting experience from the 30 seconds we got to switch cameras
i gave up on that ricoh real quick
Great vid!
I want to switch to the X-T5 from the X-T50 mainly to have weather sealing, but I can't get over the fact of how cheap it feels relative to the X-T50.
fair call out - this is my main gripe with this camera so far
love the pic at 0:14

What lens are you using in this video with the XT5?
Couldn’t have picked a better location than Portugal to test it out! Beautiful work
Any problems with auto focus? Specifically in video. I want to pick one up for photo and video (podcasts).

Yea, I waited for this video for 10 days... 10 days!!
LOL
Is there a difference in color science between xt3 and xt5? If so, what exactly?
show us how you edit !! would love a video. suscribed immediately great work
this is comin! got some ideas on how to explore this on a video
the perfect hybrid is the XT4 or the X-S20
True
Why is that? I want to get into video, have an XT3 at the moment and thought might as well save extra for XT5…
@@3bbi rolling shutter and lack of articulated screen

I’ll take your old T3 if you’re dying to get rid of it 😜
LFG
AV is my real Dad
Like a copy and paste of Faisal? The music and everything. 😴
Wont buy the xt5 bc of the downgrade in built quality. The dials should have been high quality as on xt3/4 bc u use them a lot.
It has the same dials as the XT4.
