It would be much better if you spoke to someone Catholic on what the Church teaches. I could be wrong but I haven't seen you talk to any catholics. I think you have great intentions and do the best job compared all the others on youtube; however, the fact of the matter is a protestant will nearly always misrepresent Catholicism, even with the best intentions. Additonally, many of the accusations your guest levied against the Chuch are pretty offensive, especially considering that no one was there to defend the Church. I am a convert from protestantism to Catholicism and the reasons you give for conversion are (unintentionally) shallow and not really the basis of conversion. I would be happy to discuss these with you so that you have a more accurate view of what catholics believe instead of the frankly propogandized arguments that are sadly the standard in the protestant world and which were common in this video. I just think if you want to make the best argument against catholicism, then argue against what we actually believe. God bless brother, praying y'all come home.

Anglicanism, at least according to its formularies, is unambiguously Protestant. The Articles of the Methodist Church are based on Wesley's changes to the Anglican Articles of Religion.

Got it! I was hesitant to say they all are, because I'm not sure all Anglicians use that label.

@@methodministries Yes, some Anglicans go against the formularies of the Anglican Church, sadly.

Christians should be more like Christ. There are saints that have come from every denomination. This is not say there aren’t valid questions that can or should be answered. Christians are united by faith and adoption into Gods family, not by these distinctions we obsess over.

The simple answer is no. If you say yes then my question is which protestant denomination? Oh wait, you follow John Wesley. The guy that invented his own denomination in the 1700s. You guys laugh because people say there are 40k denominations. The really funny part is that 2 protestant denominations is 2 too many. Christ established ONE church not denominations. If you are not a part of the catholic church you are either Orthodox or protestant. Non-denominationals are protestants too. That was invented by 4 men during the great restoration movement in the 1800s. Also, the catholic church is more than just the Roman rite. Protestants always forget about the Eastern catholics.
At 7:35 the irony is that Breakpoint church is a band on stage.
    Your answer to 17:45
    Council of Trent Session VI
    Canon I
CANON I.-If any one saith, that man may be justified before God by his own works, whether done through the teaching of human nature, or that of the law, without the grace of God through Jesus Christ; let him be anathema.
I find it funny that you left that out.
Also, when you keep saying that the only means of salvation is through the catholic church I don't think you understand what you are saying. I will ask a simple question. Can you be saved if you are outside of the body of Christ?
There are so many errors in this video, but I am not going to break down every single minute or I'd sit here all day. At 26:23 where does he get this "lowercase c" statement from? The first time that the word catholic is used is in Ignatius of Antioch's epistle to the Smyrnaeans Chapter 8 (cir. 100 AD). "Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."
This was written in Greek and all capital letters.
32:22 Lutherans don't believe in transubstantiation they believe in consubstantiation.
47:55 Ah yes the reason Orthodox are orthodox and protestants are protestants. Here we go.
God has men in charge in the Old Covenant and New Covenant. He appointed Moses in the Old Covenant go read Exodus 3. Then Moses needed help and appointed more leaders in Exodus 18 yet Moses remained the one in charge. Korah and his followers stood up to Moses and questioned his sole leadership in Numbers 16. They died for their insolence. When Moses was at the end of his life that authority was handed down to Joshua through the laying of hands in Numbers 27. In Deuteronomy 34:9 we find the fulfillment of that interaction. "And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses."
Now let's look at the New Covenant.
Christ is a Davidic King. Kings had an Asher Al Habayit or Royal Steward. Peter is that Royal Steward. Read Isaiah 22:20-23 and Matthew 16:17-19. Christ also tells Peter that he is that manager in Luke 12:41-42. Don't believe that Peter gives the food allowance to the house? Read John 21:17. "Pope" simply means father and that word comes from Isaiah 22:21. Peter stood first and spoke first among the disciples in the book of Acts. He is listed first in the epistles and Gospels as well. If you need those verses I will gladly give them to you. In Luke we find Christ doing something which no protestant has been able to answer. Why did Christ not pray for the rest of the disciples here yet said this in front of them all? This happened right after they disputed who the greatest among them was during the last supper in Luke 22:31. “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you that he might sift you like wheat, 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” Finally, let's look at Jude 11. Why is Jude mentioning Korah's rebellion to the church in the New Covenant if according to you we have no single person in charge anymore? Let's listen to what Korah said to Moses in Numbers 16:3 They came together against Moses and Aaron and told them, “You have taken too much upon yourselves! For everyone in the entire congregation is holy, and the LORD is in their midst. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?” These are the famous words of the Orthodox and protestants.
48:02 We never say that the pope is the Head like Christ is the head.
    Catechism of the Catholic Church.
792 Christ "is the head of the body, the Church." He is the principle of creation and redemption. Raised to the Father's glory, "in everything he [is] preeminent," especially in the Church, through whom he extends his reign over all things.
You guys lack so much information on the catholic church. All of your arguments are old and have been refuted over and over throughout the centuries.
56:59 Okay, now go back even further. Where were the protestants in the first 4 centuries when the church was being persecuted? Any protestant martyrs that you can think of during that time?
