Been there done that quite often. We used to stay at Rivers Edge and their boat ramp from hell!!! Couldn't get my boat out after an Icy day of walleye fishing!!!
Looks like a great spot! I saw that river where it empties into the Mississippi. I wasn’t fishing that day or I’d have made a vid and posted it. Was on the Iowa side at a state park. Next summer for sure I’ll fish it!

Hi are you local to that area? I was considering kayak fishing the river there the 3rd week in August. Which stretch of river is better for kayak fishing above and between the 2 dams or below where you are? Thanks
I can’t really give you an accurate opinion on that because I have no experience at kayak fishing. I do see people on kayaks on every part of that river. I can tell you be careful though. Tons of pleasure boaters all over this time of year and they drive a boat crazier than they do a car!
That is a 6 foot light fast action st croix premier. That was from over a year and a half ago and I’ve since upgraded to a St croix victory. I still use that rod for crappie fishing with small jerk baits.
Just use your maps on your phone bruh. Sure you'll find an entrance somewhere. Maybe have to walk down. I'm from FL and fished many damns in Minnesota just not Wisconsin yet
Terrible Place! Years back my brother and I (14&16). Stopped to rest on way to brothers College for visit. One of those backwoods no good cop pigs came and gave us a ticket for $125 cuz my brother was 16 and req'd a fishing lic. Didn't even catch a fish, needless to say we are children and didnt know the laws. He took every F'ing penny we had!! Forced us to pay in cash!! Threatened to confiscate our fishing gear! Again (14&16). Luckily we had enough gas to make it to brother, 3 hrs away. I WILL NEVER RESPECT OR TRUST ANY PIG!! No good F'ing Pigs!!!!!

I love this river, i love staying at rivers edge resort. My parents used to own a condo at Tamarack and we fished all over around there.
It is an amazing place to fish no matter what part of the river you’re on! Hoping to make it to that dam again.

Dang, sorry to hear you had a bad experience! I only go there once or twice a year. To crowded for me so when I do I make sure it’s early.
Cops don't give out tickets for fishing. That is the DNR. We fish it after 10 pm for catfish those guys are in bed
