@@catbert7 There was another car parked behind so it backed up pretty much all it could. Most humans would have done pretty much the same thing in this situation.

Super impressive. I can't wait to get v13.2. I have 12.5.6.3, HDW4 and use it with practically all of my drives. I used FSD this Thanksgiving weekend and it took me to Lake Tahoe, NV from Central Cal and all around Lake Tahoe, flawlessly. The summons gets stuck every so often and hopefully this is improved. I walk out the door of my workplace and start summon as I am exiting the building and the car pulls out of the parking spot but then stops. I need to exit out of the Tesla app and then go back in and enable again. The message is connectivity issues. I have a premium connectivity subscription. Sadly the visualization range is too small at the time the car can see the waymo (0:17 to 0:22). The visualization only switch from top "bird view" to "third person view" at 0:50, probably according to the speed of the vehicle.
What do you mean? It saw it coming down the road before it pulled up behind the truck. There was nowhere else to go, so it correctly presumed it would be coming by and waited.
Tesla saw the Waymo approaching in the distance at 0:21 and FSD anticipated it would be passing beside the truck and Tesla. The screen was showing an overhead view, not a forward view, at the moment, but the Tesla continues to see in all directions in spite of what the screen perspective may show.
The Waymo part is amazing, but I really like that is waited on the cyclist to continue backing up. (It stopped backing when the cyclist pass seemed to *maybe* be between the tesla and the truck)
wonder why they haven't wide released it? Possibly they are fixing bad forward parking? Saw where it wasn't in the lines.... yep they need that bumper camera.
_Possibly they are fixing bad forward parking?_ Generally even for a point release they're fixing hundreds of small bugs that turn up in internal and then early external testing, not just one thing.
_what about the intersections where you absolutely cannot see the cross traffic until you commit_ What about them? FSD would have the same experience. The difference is that FSD could and would react much faster and aggressively than a human driver if it crept out for visibility and there was a conflict.
This? Really? It did that in the least safe way possible, approaching at the worst angle, where it had ZERO visibility, instead of backing up further and pulling up in line with the truck. This is not a win.
@@catbert7 _It did that in the least safe way possible_ Give it up! You've probably made 10 posts describing the exact way you think the Tesla should have handled this. But I just checked and it turns out that you're not the custodian of perfect solutions for all FSD challenges, so there's that ...
