i would love a guide on site smokes, those smokes when you can play around, what are some good smokes like this and when to use them, and how to use them effectively. i like all ur guides and vids, u helped me a lot!!!
Question: When you're clove and the only smoker on the team, is it better to start the round on defense towards mid so you can smoke both sites depending on where the push is coming - or is it better to commit to a site and risk not being able to provide smokes for the other site immediately?
For me i highly suggest anyone plays brim or clove to stay mid or at least close to mid, cuz in ranked if there a clear bath the brain-dead opponents will push no matter what...
The thing is that you don't always have to smoke the choke point when the enemy is pushing and sometimes you even should not smoke the choke point. If you have 3 team mates defending the site, you want the enemies to push that site. You team should at worst get a kill or two and transition to a high win% retake situation. In this case your smoke might push the enemy to the under stacked site and your win% goes down. I think the smoke player should prioritise playing on the site with less defenders to make the enemies not want to push that site and go to the stacked site instead. This all of course depends on what the enemy likes to do and what the enemy thinks you like to do, and what other agents you have.
For the trick against flashes smoke where you put the smoke slightly more into the choke why don't players just always place smokes that way all of the time. It seems like it would always be a superior way to place it in all situations? Since the enemies position when coming out of the smoke will be more predictable. I'm sure there is a valid explanation for it I'm just a new player that is curious as to why people always put the smokes where they line up with the wall rather than always a bit deeper into the choke when possible. This question also extends to the other situations where this situation can arise in Valorant such as Atackers entrance to C site on Haven.
when i do smokes i actually do the smokes more deep like i have shown here, just by default, even if there are no flashes. So overall, you are correct. But you will find people in your team that wont know what to do in those situations so its a hard thing to justify sometimes. But you can do always them a little bit deeper, its for such a good decision.
Bro your the goat ty

Yes
It depends, like if your team has agents who can stall the opponents on the opposite site you are playing, you’ll have enough time to rotate and smoke
I just like playing mid tbh
