    I think i now know why Punk loses in grand tournaments. His case is similar to that of Muhammed Ali the great boxer. Because in his prime, he used to be so quick, he never learnt defensive play since he will see the move a mile away and react to it. But as he grew older, it became a serious weakness, his reflexes r no longer that sharp, he is nt that quick anymore and therefore takes ‘punches’ all the time cause he can no longer ‘move/react’ as quickly as he used to.Being extremely quick meant they never needed to play defensively but when you slow, you also too old to start learning to play defensively.

      Nah he just loose the big stage he nervous. He drag he gf to evo japan and got tanked he not focused is his issue. If he already slowing down at his age he need his brain looked at.

      Idk that doesn't seem right in either case. His strength came from his defense. Whiff punishing is all about making your opponent go on offense when you control the space their button would reach into. One of the things we see in this fight is du controlling that space better because his character can force interaction on his own terms. This is a classic zoner vs Rush down match. In sfv, Karin could pretty easily react to fireballs and her buttons commanded the same part of the screen as almost all the best neutral characters. The other part of that is that 6 has a less guaranteed offense. Once Karin would win the neutral she knocks you down and sets up pressure. In this game, that's much harder to do. You can block or parry your way through a lot of mixes and unless you're in the corner or they spend half their drive meter pressures over after 3 lights. Also knuckldu is one of the best in the world so if you have some trouble with him it's hardly a weakness.
      Also, Muhammad Ali was famous for dancing around his opponents.

      I don’t think that’s the case at all. Punk basically defined the meta of SFV but SF6 is a different game and it often works against his playstyle. This game is very fast paced and the drive system leads to high agression play and big damage. Parry and perfect parry cover most options. Whiff punishing is rewarded in this game but when your opponent can just cover your approach with a button or get, or get plus frames, or even get all their momentum back with that same button it makes Punk’s style harder to be successful with.

    God, why does the cammy player not just spin knuckle through the projectiles?? This is annoying to watch.

    • @crimsonraiza3633
      @crimsonraiza3633 21 день назад +1

      Because spin knuckle on Guile booms is a read. Read Guile's sonic boom recovery. You have to do it nearly instantly like a robot or it's just blocked. Spin knuckle beats traditional fireballs, not booms.

    • @crimsonraiza3633
      @crimsonraiza3633 21 день назад +1

      Also you can see why Du does fake fireballs. If Punk bites at them he eats big damage and is back trying to get in again.
