15:51 Good to know Slovene and Croatian share this magnificent phrase for expressing frustration.

As a car guy, i can confirm that it is very easier to work on a any other engine that is not from germany

God bless BMW for making half their engines' critical parts out of plastic...

I'm seeing this 10mths later, did the chain guide end up causing more damage than originally thought? I was under the assumption if that happened the motor was essentially toast

Nope, I assembled the engine and it runs great.
I had a conversation with my friend who has a m54b25 in his e46 and he also tore down his engine and found out that one of the guides disintigrated. But he said that the engine wasn't making any strange noises. So I'm thinking that if the right guide fails it might not be that bad (of course I wouldn't push the engine hard) however the left one that's acctually the tensioner is probably more critical.

@@Zakis_wonderful_world I've thought about doing this swap for my e36. It's kinda like putting a s50b30 in...only with dual vanos. Unfortunately I have an attention span of a tiny insect so I didn't watch ur whole conversation, what did u do about the throttle cable? Also if I had it torn down as much as u did I might have gone for the m50 intake swap as well since u would have been able to properly port match...then again I'm STRICTLY an N/A guy so doing those little thing that might now matter on a turbo build are more important
